12 Chapter 12

They returned to Musica's office to tell Musica everything that happened. They were surprised to see that there were guests inside the building.

"Oh you've returned. Does it mean you succeeded?" Musica asked.

"Yeah it went smoothly. You have guests?"

"Not really. These guys are Silver Rhythms' main combatants including me. The lady with green hair is my wife Reina. And those two are Let and Julia." Musica introduced them to Ban and the others.

"I've told these guys everything and they said that they agreed to be your guardian." Musica added.

"Yeah… about that. Sengoku asked you to come tomorrow with us to discuss something. Maybe every one of you can come?" Ban asked

"Tomorrow? We can join as well?" The man called Let asked for confirmation.

"Yes I don't think he will refuse."

"Okay. Since you succeeded let's have a feast. We'll party tonight!" Musica then calls other member of Silver Rhythms to come including thugs and homeless peoples.

The party keep going until midnight when everyone leaves except 9 of them.

The next day.

"Oh you're already here. Come in." Sengoku let us in.

Sengoku already told the guards about them coming so they have permit to enter. Sengoku led them to the living room where they all sit to discuss the kids' future.

"You're Musica? I heard from them that you want to be their guardian." Sengoku probes Musica.

"Yeah, I didn't know that you also wish to do the same." Musica replied.

"I believe with my status they will be able to have a normal life."

"No. Having the Minister of Defense as the guardian will bring more trouble. Other kids will judge them for that."

"Peoples will always judge other people. At least it is better than having some thug of a hero."

"What do you mean by that? At least being a thug means you can get along with other thugs easier."

"You want their life to be surrounded by thugs?"

Musica and Sengoku keep exchanging words while the others just keep watching. Even Ban just thought it to be interesting.

"I feel like a child whose parent are about to divorce, and they fight over my custody." Ban interrupted when the situation getting hotter.

"Pffft!" Everyone other than Musica and Sengoku laughed because of what Ban said.

"Dad. Grandpa. Please stop fighting over me." Ban made another joke which makes everyone laugh.

"Who is your dad? At least make it older brother." Musica rebutted.

"Although we needed guardian, we still able to live by ourselves. We can have grandpa Sengoku as our guardian, but I know you're busy with your job so you can have Musica as your representative if asked." Ban giving out his opinions.

"Yeah you are right. That's one less thing to worry. But where will you live?" Sengoku asked.

"Since my target is U.A. High School, It will be in Tokyo. If possible I want to have an apartment building with several rooms since we have a girl with us. I can be the landlord. The rest of the unused room will be for rent."

"Oh I have one in mind. I just renovate it last month and will be able to rent out soon. I can ask you to be the caretaker and the rent can be given to you. It's a two floor building with five room in each floor." Musica said after thinking for a while.

"Oh that's great. Then please renovate it so the five rooms in the first floor are connected."

"Alright."

"Wait!" Meliodas suddenly interrupt. "Elizabeth and I choose to be in a different school from you. If we stay with you forever I don't think we will be abel to be truly independent."

"What! You're gonna leave as well?" Chopper asked Meliodas with tears in his eyes.

"Only for three years. I've thought about it. If I keep staying with Ban I will always depend on him for everything and will limit my own potential. I want to be capable of making my own decision and be independent." Meliodas grabbed Elizabeth hand. "We made this decision together last night. I hope you understand."

"Fine I understand… that you don't want us to be the third wheel." Ban said.

"Let's think about that later. After all you still need to finish middle school first. All of you will be admitted to the same middle school. You can choose any hero academy you want after that." Sengoku speak with a serious expression. "To admit you all to a middle school you need an identity. Law and Chopper can be done already but Ban, Elizabeth, and Meliodas needed a surname to have an ID."

"Oh! Elizabeth can have my surname Lana. We will be sisters from now on." Julia moved toward Elizabeth and hug her.

"Then you can have my surname Dahaka." Let looked at Meliodas.

"Elizabeth Lana and Meliodas Dahaka. Since both of you look like foreigner we can put your surname last." Sengoku looked at Meliodas and Elizabeth for confirmation if they agreed to their new surname which they answer with a nod. "What about Ban?"

"My name will be… "No Great Lord or anything similar to you!"" Before Ban finished his sentence Law interrupted.

"Damn!" Ban had a disappointed look on his face.

"Then what about phantom thief Kaito? You will be Kaito Ban. It suit him because he has stealing ability." Reina gave a suggestion for Ban's surname.

"Kaito Ban… Kaito-dan… Kokoro no Kaito-dan (Phantom thieves of heart). You're going to change our heart?" Meliodas making fun of Ban's new name.

"Bufudyne!" Ban took the glass filled with tea that was served to everyone and splash it toward Meliodas.

"Damn you! And it's warm not cold at all!"

"Kaito is a good name. I will be Kaito Ban from now on." Ban agreed with his new name.

"Then I will register your names for ID and admit you to a middle school in Tokyo. Since Law is younger he will be transferred as 8th grader while everyone else will be 9th grader. About medical license. I have asked the Minister of Health for help. He says that you need to have an interview with him first before he can give you the license. I guess everything has been taken care of now. Why don't you stay for dinner?"

They finished their discussion and have a dinner there.
