18 Chapter 13: A classical meeting [1]

*SIGH*

Sitting on a luxurious couch, Hai exhaled a tired sigh.

"I'm finally done."

The last few days have been pretty boring.

Having to go from company to company, raise the company's value in the stock market, produce news that would make the company have a better image etc.

Honestly, even though his plans goes well and all, it's tiring.

For example, the situation where the extremists leaked Lekym Technologies' CEO's wrongdoings.

Why did they do it?

Simple.

Because Hai said to them to do so.

Some years ago, Hai brought under his wing some people who were in miserable conditions and that society cast aside.

They were truly abandoned by everyone as they didn't even have enough money for phones or clothes, and phones are a really cheap thing nowadays.

Hai brought them in and offered them a job.

The job of wreaking havoc.

He gave them the job of exposing, vandalizing, stealing, breaking proprieties, people, companies and among others who have or are doing "shady" things.

Why did he do it?

For business purposes obviously.

With those extremists wreak havocking, it wouldn't be strange if they did something like what they did with Lekym Technologies.

This caused a small market panic that made the company's value drop.

And this is where Hai came in.

He brought the stocks that were sold at way less than what should have been acceptable. He used different names, people and companies to buy those stocks and hence he grew to be a shareholder with 45% of the company.

He did it or something similar with all the big companies in Hong Kong that he got.

Now, a day after he finally did it all, he took a seat and rested.

Hai opened his eyes when he sniffed the sweet aroma of tea and looked down the table in front of him.

Elena put down a cup with tea and smiled sweetly at Hai.

Hai smiled seeing this.

Elena who was walking towards Hai's back, almost slipped but managed to recompose herself I time.

Her ears were a bit red due what her young master thought about her.

That's right. A few days ago, she had finally concluded that she could hear her young master's thoughts unrelated to the distance, or at least, anywhere in Hong Kong.

Although Elena doesn't know why nor how, she is still quite happy.

After all, she can know her young master even better, why wouldn't she be happy?

It has been a few days since she has been hearing his inner thoughts but aside from goofy, sweet or business thoughts, she didn't hear much of importance.

However, she has a feeling that it will be different today.

Today they have a rather unexpected meeting.

Sometime ago, Hai received a letter inviting him to a meeting that is going to take place in the underworld. The letter contained the place and time he was supposed to be in and said he could take one escort with him.

The problem is the organizer meeting.

The organizer as well as the sender is no one else but Stella Cruenta-Anima.

She is the daughter of a noble vampire that is really powerful in Europe.

The reason as to why this is problematic, is because although Europe is not a super potence nowadays, the people or companies in there aren't to joke around with.

The Cruenta-Anima family is even scarier than most families out there. They are a family mainly composed of vampires with great domain over magic and their blood talents, not to talk about their ginormous economic power derived from their long lives of accumulating money and goods.

They are basically behemoths that would make the Jin family be less than a speck of dust.

Now,

"Why did she invite me?" Hai was confused with this.

He knows that she must have already dug out what he has done with the companies, in the light side that is.

But even then, why invite him? He isn't a really powerful force.

He just has business in Hong Kong, some big companies here and contacts around the world.

The Cruenta-Anima family has a thousand if not millionfold more than what he has.

"This is really problematic…" Hai muttered to himself.

Although he never met the Cruenta-Anima's young miss, he has heard and dug out some things about her.

And what he found wasn't to his liking.

A cruel, sadistic, power-hungry and manipulative woman.

She frequently doesn't honor accords and break them if it's to her and her family benefits.

This kind of woman…

Elena who was behind him had her whole face turned red when she heard this.

Although she also like, nay, she loves their nights, she still finds it embarrassing to hear he admit it with such normalcy.

Hai gulped down the tea and put the cup on the table again.

"Elena, let's go."

Elena nodded her head and put the teapot aside.

Then, she followed right after Hai.

"...….."

"…."

After some seconds of pure silence, Hai opened his mouth.

"Color me impressed. Never would have I thought the meeting would be in… this."

The reason why Hai was impressed is because the building where the meeting will take place.

The building is a skyscraper…

In the middle of nowhere.

It's all grass and plains around the building.

If that wasn't enough, the whole building has extremely advanced technologies and even traces of mana oozing of it.

And the technology used in this building is even more advanced than what some truly big corporations have.

Hai is honestly speechless at where the meeting will be happening.

<Well, I give her that, she is smart at least. Nobody will be able to quickly escape from a skyscraper, not even someone with space affinity as I can feel strong magical formations present in this building. Let's hope that the meeting stays only with words.>

Elena walking behind him opened her eyes slightly and her purple eyes glowed with a malevolent light. However, it vanished as quick as it came.

Hai stopped admiring what could be someone's coffin today and entered the lion's den.

*TAP*

Upon entering, Hai and Elena saw a lobby that seemed to have come from another world.

The floor was steel blue in color with a suave feeling, the walls were hidden because before them had water, and fishes.

Floating.

Yes, floating.

It was like an aquarium but without glass panels.

It's a magical sight to anyone.

Sadly, Hai and Elena were more concerned with the meeting than with the laws of physics being defied.

Hai then walked towards the only thing this lobby had, a balcony with a receptionist behind it.

"Good morning miss." Hai initiated the conversation with a polite tone.

The receptionist looked at Hai and only extended her hand.

"Invitation."

Hai took the letter and passed to her.

The receptionist scanned it with her eyes and nodded.

"The elevator on the left will take you there. Now, begone, you're bothering me."

Hai simply walked off without paying any mind to the rude receptionist.

However, Elena couldn't be said to be the same.

She was walking behind her young master with a furious glint in her eyes.

She was thinking about ways to kill the b*tch later.

Treating her young master with such disregard when they were the ones who invited him? Blasphemy!

She will make sure to find time in her agenda to pay that b*tch a visit later.

Elena heard her young master's thoughts and her mind quickly arrived at the conclusion.

That was a test.

Did this change anything?

No. She will still visit the b*tch later.

*DING*

Hai entered in the elevator with Elena and the door closed.

There was no button or anything, they simply entered and the thing closed the doors and started to descend.

Hai thought exasperatedly. Even he wouldn't do that (and he does several things that people wouldn't even be able to fathom).

After a minute descending, the elevator's doors opened.

Hai and Elena saw a corridor with a door at the end.

Nothing was present in the corridor, no furniture, no decoration, nothing.

Not paying attention to it, both of them made their way towards the door.

When they arrived at the door, Hai felt the presence of 5 people inside the room.

<5, all of them are 1st River or equal it at least and 5th at most.>

Elena who was behind him clenched her hands.

If everyone inside the room is as her young master described, then she wouldn't be able to do much against them as she is only a 2nd River mage.

With her and Hai's combat prowess they could at most take 3 out if they put in effort in it but they would fail right after.

Hai knocked on the door.

*KNOCK*

"You may come in." A sweet feminine voice came from inside the room.

Hai noticed that the voice has a slight intend behind it.

An intend is how is called the act of putting mana behind a small action, like talking, and the mana will make the action be more than a simple one.

Like in this case, the woman's voice induces one to lower their guard and have a positive impression of her. Maybe if one is close enough then it might have a seductive effect.

Hai once again raised his guard but didn't show anything.

*CREAK*

Entering the room, Hai saw 5 persons seated around a round table.

One was a fox woman with blue hair, 3 tails behind her and a good figure.

Other was an elf woman with an unholy body with platinum silver hair, green eyes and a playful aura around her.

The other two were both orcs that seemed to be twins. They have around 5 meters, with one having a tusk coming from the left and the other has one coming from the right.

Then, there was a woman seated on the main seat.

The woman was gorgeous to say the last.

With a plentiful pair of breasts comparable to Elena, slim waist, good hips and slender longs legs; she has blond hair tied to a bun and with some strands falling to her shoulders; bright crimson eyes that seem to shine and a different aura around her.

The blond-haired woman looked at Hai and smiled seeing him enter.

Elena closed the door and followed behind her young master who took the last remaining seat.

When Hai sat down, the blond-haired woman opened her mouth.

"I would like to start this meeting by thanking you all for attending my hastily-made invitation."

Nobody said a word but just gestured that it was no big deal.

Seeing this, she once again smiled.

"Now, about what this meeting entrails…"

She trailed off while looking at the elf woman.

She nodded and with a cheerful attitude, delivered rather disturbing news.

"The Phoenix has declared war against The Rhino."

"…"

The meeting room went silent.

Not a simple silent like one without a sound.

But silent to the point that even air seemed to stop to process those news.

Everything stood still.

Everyone was processing those huge news.

Hai was the first to snap out of it.

<Alright, shit hit the fan.>

Right now, Hai wanted to lay down and cry.

Hai looked at the blond-haired woman and put his calm smile back.

<Well, it happens.>

Sorry for the slow chapter guys. It was a necessary one as I want to develop this meeting a bit as to not make it at lightning speed.

However, worry not, there shall be some interesting things in the next chapter.
