11 Cole Fleming

When Yu Weimin came back, the first thing he saw was an upturned bowl. Then his eyes glanced at a certain female lead, curled up against the wall with a pale face.

Then he looked over at a bowl of porridge newly made, with Cole sitting beside it with a princely attitude.

Yu Weimin didn't have to think twice before realizing what had happened. He raised his brows and bent over.

"What's this?"

The little boy scoffed. "I didn't want you to die of hunger, so I made you some porridge."

"When did I ever eat Raven's food?"

Raven was the female lead's name in the original story. So Yu Weimin didn't even bother changing it.

Cole glanced at the bowl. He had repeatedly seen this man make that item for the two children. At first, he didn't like it and hated Oliver, but later, he eventually got into the habit of eating such bland food.

So this was the only dish he knew how to make.

He quickly turned his face away and pretended to act innocent.

Yu Weimin narrowed his gaze. He knew that this villain wouldn't do anything without an ulterior motive. After so many years, he finally made some food. There must be something in it.

Did Cole finally decide to start going against him?

Yu Weimin snorted and sat down. He smelled the porridge first.

He could smell fresh rice and other items in it. Aside from it, he also smelled a hint of herb sprinkled over the top.

He knew it. This little wolf was two-faced. First, he pretended to be a kid for four years. After all this time, he finally made his first move. Though he still wondered how a seven-year-old boy managed to get his hands on a poisonous herb….

Yu Weimin had to give it to his enemy. The latter would have lowered his guard if he wasn't a villain himself in real life. He knew what his enemy would think at every second.

He scoffed and started eating it.

Suddenly, the system's voice echoed in his mind.

[Host, isn't it poisoned? Why are you eating it?]

"You're so naive, 520," Yu Weimin said, rising to pick up the other upturned bowl before heading toward the river. "Haven't you seen the hatred value after all these years?"

The system quietly looked at the number 500 in front of her. [This is all your fault. Why were you so unrestrained? Now, look at what happened! The villain hates you even more!]

"Heh! That's what I want," Yu Weimin washed the bowls with the soap and dipped them into the water. "The more hatred there is, the more beautiful this world's ending will be. I want the villain to suffer because of his deeds."

The system couldn't understand her host's thought process. Why would he want the villain to suffer? Unless….

She searched her database and found that her host had said something earlier about the villain. Could it be related to that?

She finally couldn't help herself and asked, [Is it because you found this villain similar to your friend?]

"Friend?" Yu Weimin's voice echoed as he chuckled. "Ah, that's right. An excellent friend, indeed."

The system felt like that sentence was rather sarcastic.

A few more years passed. Yu Weimin deliberately ate the poisoned food made by Cole every morning.

Since this was a futuristic world with high technology, the standard lifespan of people was also long, and people generally had a lot of strength. But because of the poison, Yu Weimin felt changes in his body.

His limbs wound up exhausting faster than ever. So he couldn't do much household work these days. He kept lying on the ground, pretending to be a dead fish.

The poison worked slowly, but its result was permanent. It would cause a slow and painful death, making the victim feel like he shouldn't have been born. The poison would slowly accumulate all over the organs in the body over the years, slowly eating up the cells. It would completely stop converting the food into energy, making the body weaker and weaker.

Ultimately, the poison would finally start eroding the organs, leading to their failure. At that point, the victim would be partially paralyzed.

The poison had already started to suck energy from Yu Weimin's body at an alarming rate, but he wasn't worried.

Today was when both the brats were going to come of age. They had finally matured after all these years.

Yu Weimin looked at those years in his past. Even though he knew that the little lady shouldn't be given a special role, he did indeed get attached to her thanks to all the time he spent with her. He had actually started to consider her a sister.

Of course, he was a criminal, but weren't those people allowed to feel emotions? Yu Weimin had felt that he was aloof towards all those things, but now, he didn't think so.

Today, he had prepared two things for the brats. One was a small part where he would call out the nearby shopkeepers he was familiar with, and second, he would invite Raven's future in-laws.

That's right. He had finalized her marriage so quickly already.

At this time, he was combing the girl's hair with a bored expression. The girl huffed and glared at the man through the mirror.

"Can't you be nice to my hair?"

Why did Yu Weimin feel like the female lead acted more and more like a certain villain? Undoubtedly, children tend to pick up bad habits faster.

He ignored her remark and continued to style her hair.

Yu Weimin's omega body had matured significantly over the years. All the traces of childishness disappeared, leaving behind a sleek and handsome young man with jet-black hair tied behind his back.

Yes, he didn't even bother cutting them off.

His loose robes gave him sexual appeal, with his chest out in the open. A tear mole in the corner of his eye made him look like a fox spirit.

The pheromones made it especially difficult for others to ignore his presence. He was a mature omega, ready to have his first heat cycle this year and be permanently marked by a mate.

It was just that Yu Weimin wasn't interested in the mating aspect. He had already purchased several herbs to suppress his heat cycles every month.

After he was done combing, he patted the girl's shoulders. She was wearing an elegant blue-colored long dress that matched her eyes.

"Raven! Come out!"

"Yeah, we want to see how you look today!"

"Just where is she hiding?"

"Maybe behind her brother's back. Pfft!"

Yu Weimin heard the commotion outside and smiled. "Your friends are here. You ready?"

Finally, the girl's face showed a nervous expression. "Brother, do I really have to meet the in-laws?"

"Hmmm? Why not?"

"I-I…." the girl pursed her lips as she lowered her head. "I don't want to get married."

Yu Weimin felt awkward at this time. Even though he practically raised her, he still wasn't good at consoling. So he simply patted her shoulders once again and pushed her up, dragging her outside the door.

"We're getting late!"

"Okay, but brother, you must get ready, yeah?"

Yu Weimin waved his hand as he saw her off, closing the door behind him.

The guests weren't here yet. So he wanted to soak in the bathtub for a while and forget about his worries.

So he stripped off his robes and went to the bathroom.

After these years, he did some wood-chopping work and bought many things for his house without depending on his system. So the tiny hut from before turned into a place with three rooms: a living room with a kitchen in the corner, a bedroom, and one bathroom.

Cole would be sleeping in the living room area, whereas Yu Weimin would spread his bed over in the kitchen. The bedroom was given to the little girl since she needed more privacy.

After getting inside the bathtub, Yu Weimin closed his eyes and rested against it.

He wondered where the villain had gone. He had sent the brat to buy some food items for the guests. It shouldn't have taken that much time.

That brat just might be up to something.

As he was thinking of this, he felt the bathroom door open with a jolt. Yu Weimin frowned and glanced in that direction, only to see someone entering the place with a relaxed attitude.

The man had a black mask covering half of his face. His brown hair was tied up with a crown, and a cape hung back on his shoulders, giving the princely dress an elegant touch. He had a devilish aura around him, which made him appear even more charming.

Yu Weimin didn't have to think twice before realizing who this person was: Cole Fleming.
