3 A grandfather?!

"Uh? What do you mean?" Haruki tapped around his body in search of . . . "Argh," he shouted when his hand grazed the wound dressing. He opened the patient's clothes to see a wound he never knew he had when he got down from the bed.

"Are you okay?" Aki asked as he hurried over. "I will call the doctor," Aki announced and ran out of the room before his friend could stop him.

Haruki who wanted so badly to leave was forced to sit down on the bed. He could not think of running out of the hospital with a wound that big on his stomach. He touched it, with a confused furrowing of his brow.

Did it hurt? He pouted slightly when he could not understand what was happening. When it stung slightly, he pulled his hand away and looked around the room which will cost a lot, and began contemplating running away again.

Could he run away with that wound on his abdomen? But it did not sting at all. He got up and began searching for his cloth. He did not find it anywhere in the room.

He considered running away in the hospital gown when the door of the room flew open. He pouted guiltily as he met the gaze of the doctor that walked in behind his friend who he noticed was not wearing his school uniform anymore.

"I don't have any money to pay you and my aunt is too busy to come. can you forgive me?" he began to beg.

"You don't need to worry about it. this is my father and he will not make you pay. I told him about your situation but he said someone had already paid the bills," Aki narrated.

Looking at the middle-aged man, he was searching for any resemblance between the man and Aki, he was forced to conclude that Aki looked like his mother just like he did.

"Thank you, sir, but I have to return home before my aunt returns," he said as he began searching for his clothes again. "Please where are my clothes?" he asked the doctor with a sight bow.

"You are not allowed to leave the hospital yet," the doctor told him firmly like a strict father, it made him tremble slightly but he met the man's gaze boldly.

"You did not kidnap me, right?" Haruki asked as he thought of ways, he could leave this place before his aunt discovers that he was gone.

"You have been here for over twenty-four hours already. We have called her already and she has been too busy to visit you. don't worry about disturbing her," the doctor told him sternly again and he bowed his head this time since he was not disturbing his aunt.

"Thank you but could you call her to tell her that she does not need to worry about coming to visit me?" Haruki asked as he made himself comfortable on the bed. "I will also find a way to pay you for the room and the treatment so don't worry my aunt about the payment."

"I am beginning to doubt if you are my family's grandson," a voice came from the door that flew open.

A white-haired man walked into the room followed by a few others that crowded the room in a short while. Haruki got confused as he looked at the men that entered as he waited patiently for them to realize they entered the wrong room.

The leader, a man dressed in a black suit standing up straight and looking like a veteran, sat on a sofa and crossed his legs comfortably like he owned the room.

Haruki was forced by their rudeness to ask, "Who are you and what do you want?"

"I am your grandfather and I am here to visit my grandson," the man replied as he looked at him calmly.

He thought he saw a corner of the man's lips lift and it made him furious. How could you simply enter someone's room and claim to be their grandfather? That was the craziest thing he has ever seen. Even his age does not justify such action.

He looked at his friend who nodded and the doctor he was finding hard to trust even though he trusted his son. "Since I do not need to pay the bills, I must leave," he said as he began walking to the door.

"Where are you going to, young master?" a man pushed the door and walked into the room. he could almost swear that the man was only a few inches away from seven feet tall. He was towering over everyone in the room especially someone like him who was smaller than most of his peers.

"I will check him and leave you to talk," the doctor said as he walked to Haruki and held his wrist.

Haruki glared at them and began struggling. He wanted so badly to leave the room. all of them in the room gave him an eerie feeling including his friend who he trusted so much.

"No, I don't wish to talk to you," Haruki shouted hoping someone from outside will hear his plea and come to his rescue. "Please, let me go."

"Don't use the word please so easily to disgrace this family," the old man who seemed to be enjoying the sight of whatever was happening ordered.

He scoffed as he turned to look at the man. "Who are you to call me your grandson? My both parents are dead and I am an orphan. Could you stop trying to forcefully recruit me into your craziness?"

"Your mother died without a chance to tell you she had a family she ran away from to marry the man I wanted to kill because I discovered they were in a relationship."

Haruki paused considering what the man said. "That should be my father, right? Are you here to kill me?"

"I am here to give you the chance to stop being the burden you are to your aunt who you love so much that you don't care that you almost died a day ago," the man replied.

"How will I trust you? I am not so desperate for more people to get involved in my life," Haruki dared to tell the man who looked like he was going to kill him at that instance. He began regretting what he said but he could not take it back.
