4 Ch 4 A Deal with the Devil

As I stared at her determined eyes I became a bit curious what her story was

"girl do you wish to return home?"

"No milord please..." she whimpered

"Why"

"It were m' aunt and uncle who sold me off to em milord"

'hmmm should I eat her....no every lord needs servants, and this one looked like she had a brain unlike most peasants although she was small she was quite tenacious judging on the scratch marks on dead fatso'

"Very well girl, tell me do you want some revenge on your aunt and uncle then"

"yes milord I do they beat me like a dog and treated me like a slave for years after me da died of the flux....I'm originally from golden Grove but we moved out ere'"

"I can help you get revenge but it won't be for free....after all nothing in life is free."

"I'm willing to serve milord I can cook and clean, I know how to mend and wash clothes, I can scour pots and pans... and I know my numbers up to twenty"

" A good deal then, now let me see that wound girl"

"my name is lily" she said in a barley audible whisper but my super hearing caught it clear as day.

I grabbed her ankle and used mana to inspect it 'damn a torn acl how the hell is she not in tears right now... this is one tough little maid'

I guess I got a good deal hehe.

after a quick spell her leg was good as new, she saw my magic and her eyes widened but she didn't seem shocked just awed she probably saw me taking and putting things into my dimensional storage.

" point me in the direction of your uncle's house then girl."

She pointed down a small trail across the field and I could see the smoke of a chimney not too far in the distance I called shadowmare over and introduced shadowmare to lily

"Shadowmare this is girl, Girl this is shadowmare" to which she groaned "master I told you my name is lily"

shadowmare simply neighed and licked her face leaving a bloody trail on her cheek to which she wretched in disgust.

"Master please tell mr. horse to not lick me on the face ewwww"

I just chuckled a bit before hopping on shadowmare and grabbing lily by the scruff of her dress and sat her in front of me that's when I realized just how skinny this girl was.

she definitely needed some more food in her system right now she was flat as a board, 'nothing but knees and ankles' as they say I definitely wouldn't be touching this stringbean until she gained at least 40 lbs.

I quickly reached into my dimensional store and got a Philly cheese steak and a wineskin filled with watered down arbor gold for her which she devoured with stars in her eyes. I'm sure she thought I was being nice, I'm just investing in future endeavors hehe.

after I finish my end of the deal I will fly on ancalagon to the capital and pick up my bride Rhaella, I also hope to cause a bit of mischief while I'm there, a new castle would be nice as well. after about 15 min of following the path we came across the small thatched wooden house, it looked poor but well taken care of and clean.

someone must have heard shadowmare walking along because a friendly day woman walked out of the home with a bright smile and welcomed me in.

"hello good sir knight I see you found our lost niece she is such a simpleton. thank you for returning her sir."

she said with a bow if I hadn't seen everything with my own eyes or not had my Vampiric senses I know I would have been fooled into thinking this was somebody's kind grandmother but I could sense she was a wicked harpy and would not be fooled.

I was pretty ticked off that she tried to make a fool of me outright. I simply gave her a charming smile as I dismounted to which she blushed at while I lowered lily from my horse.

then I walked up to her and offered to take her hand for a kiss. she blushed even more and as she stuck her palm down and out for me to kiss, I saw her husband and a little fat boy inside the home looking through the doorway. I quickly took her hand so tightly that her bones broke then I pulled her in and broke her face using my forehead with a headbutt.

both me and lily were splashed in blood only thing being this lady's blood was acrid and disgusting I knew she was rotten inside. the portly man walked out in a hurry and got on his knees alongside his fat boy and apologized for the woman who was moaning unintelligibly on the ground.

"please milord spare her I don't know what she did but I apologize we'll make recompense I swear it." he spoke with desperation in his voice.

I just smiled at him and sent shadowmare a message through our telepathy.

shadowmare slowly walked up to the man and got inches from his face, I could tell shadowmare simply wanted to intimidate for fun. then without warning shadowmare chomped at the man's face and removed his entire nose in one bite, when the man fell back clasping his face shadowmare took the opportunity to stomp on his legs to immobilize him then stomped on the boys knee to the same effect. both were squealing like stuck pigs after that. I turned over to lily and asked "Girl would you like to do it yourself or do you want me to do it"

she pointed at the barley conscious woman I just nodded in affirmation. I took bindings from my storage and tied the woman up I didn't need my new maid to get hurt because she couldn't handle her first sacrifice after all.

I took out the statue of fortuna and placed it then told her to repeat after me and as she chanted she brought down the blade then I saw the same look of bliss on her face that I feel every time I sacrifice.

she just smiled a bit while the father son duo were crying on the sidelines.

"Did you feel it?"

I asked her to which she smiled and slowly nodded

"that's the power and love of a real god, not the useless seven who are just pretenders."

I moved on to the father and son duo but they grossed me out a bit so I finished up as quickly as possible before absorbing their essence to strengthen myself and moving on.

"girl is anything you need from there? because you won't be returning here."

I asked lily.

she ran inside and after five minutes came out in a new dress and cloak because other one was torn. she wore a small silver necklace which while not expensive I could tell she cherished greatly.

"very well then girl are you ready to fly"

I asked to which she looked at me as if I was crazy.

we made our way to an open field which hadn't been tilled yet.

before I said goodbye to shadowmare, I wouldn't see him for a short while during my stay at the Capital.

he just huffed at me in annoyance before turning into a shadow and disappearing. then I called ancalagon my Vampiric Dragon.

He was enormous, if I had to guess he rivalled vaghar in size only Ancalagon is far more potent and violent of a dragon than any dragon of Targeryen stock.

His four disturbing yellow eyes studied me and lily for only a moment before I told him to fly off and find some food for himself , it was unfair for only shadowmare to eat.

then I was left with a shocked lily with her mouth wide open in surprise.

"so girl where exactly are we?"

"we are a days walk south of purcholt master, this be lord Gowers land."

I was left confused what the fuck is purcholt and who the fuck is Gower but I knew saying anything could be pointless so I just nodded and searched my dimensional store.

quickly I found a realtime magical map which made everything so much easier. I was just west of riverrun we wouldn't finish the flight before the end of the day so we would only fly a bit today not an issue though as we could camp anywhere or take refuge in any castle. who would deny a man with a gigantic dragon after all. hehe....

after I called ancalagon to return I saw that he had a horse in his mouth and half a man in each of his front claws. I just waited for him to finish feasting before me and lily mounted Ancalagon then headed east.

I was thinking of making a quick stop at riverrun as I felt like eating some fresh untouched catfish....
