3 Chapter 3 Practicing Martial Skills on beasts and searching for herbs

(note:martial skill realms:Rookie,Beginner, Minor success,Veteran,Great success,Perfection)

<====The next day====>

Last night when Jin was practicing "Slaughter Demon Slashs" first move of three called "Slash of the Demon" he unexpectedly trained it all the way up to Rookie realm, but the most important thing he learned is that in Slaughter God's Cave one day in there equals to about four hours outside! While this will be a great help in training martial skills, because there is a cooldown time of 3 days for the Slaughter Qi House, Jin has decided to pick herbs and learn how to refine pills to make his cultivation soar even faster! Although he knows it will be hard to learn, it will be beneficial in the long run.So, Jin quickly runs over to his father's room and knocks on the door. "Enter." his father said. When he entered Jun said to him "Good morning Jin, your finally awake!So,do you need anything?"Jin looked at his father and said seriously "I want to learn how to refine pills, so I will be going to search for herbs over at Burning Tree Mountain." Seeing how serious Jin was,Jun looked at him before sighing then said"Fine, but take Jia with you!"

The reason this is a serious matter is because

Burning Tree Mountain is notorious for having strong demonic beasts everywhere, the strongest is demonic tier 8 beasts, which can even kill Spirit Strengthening cultivators. Luckily, Jin is only going around the outer ring of the mountain, so the most he would have to worry about would be tier 1 demonic beasts and tier 2 demonic beasts.

(note:Beast Grades: Wild beasts,Demonic beasts,Heavenly beasts,Divine beasts)(Demonic Beasts at tier 4 and up have a monster core)

After saying good bye to his father, he hurriedly went to Jia's room and told him that he wanted to go to Burning Tree Mountain to train and pick herbs, he agreed to join Jin.

<====Burning Tree Mountain Outer Ring===>

Somewhere in the outer ring of Burning Tree Mountain, Jin and Jia could be seen fighting a low level tier 1 demonic beast thats called Burning Horn Rhino,

a demonic beast that specializes in fire attacks , THUD, CRASH" the Rhino rammed its horn into a very large tree and got stuck.

Seeing an opportunity to attack, Jin runs up to it and yells "Slash of the Demon" as he slashes down on the rhino's back, a large gash can be seen with blood flowing like a river until "Thud" the rhino breathes its last breath as it falls to the floor: Dead.

"Hahaha, we did it brother Jia! Now lets go search for some herbs!" Jin says as he uses Jia's sword to cut the horn off of the rhino to sell later "Thats fine with me, but what herbs are you looking for?"Jia says puzzled because even though Jin said that the main reason they went to Burning Tree Mountain was because they were going to look for herbs the only thing they have been doing since they got there is fight demonic beasts.

Jin looks at Jia as he pulls a book out of his pouch then says "The pill I am going to try to make is a low ranked tier 2 pill meant for people in the body tempering stage like me called Skeleton Hardening Pill, in this book it says the herbs I need to concoct it are 1 Skull Rose , 1 Bone Leaf and some Bone Essence from a tier 2 demonic beast. Shall we split up and search for them?We will come back here when we are done" Jia looks at Jin then nods in agreement as they both go there seperate ways

<====Jins Perspective====>

Along the way on Jins journey to find some herbs, he ran into many tier 1 demonic beasts,

but sadly no tier 2 demonic beasts

so he decided to take a rest by the side of a mountain when he hears a loud roar coming from the top so he decides to check it out.

<===Jia's Perspective====>

While Jin is climbing a mountain , Jia is looking around for a Skull Rose, which can normaly be found in caves, so he has been going around multiple different areas searching for one until he found a large cave by a pond with dozens of tier 1 demonic beast around it. .As he is stealthily walking closer to the cave, he accidentally steps on a stick which makes a loud "Crack"

sound which alerts the demonic beasts nearby, so what does Jia do? He books it to the cave while getting chased by multiple demonic beasts.

<===Jins Perspective===>

As Jin finally gets to the top he sees what he has been looking for! A Bone Tree, which has the Bone Leafs he is looking for! Except there is one problem, its being guarded by a tier 2 demonic beast called Skeleton Tiger! Swiftly hiding in the bushes so as to not alert the beast of his presence, Jin picks up a rock and throws it past the Skeleton Tiger to the edge of the woods opposite of him, then runs as

fast he can to the Bone Tree, and grabs a Bone Leaf! As he turns around to leave he sees the Skeleton Tiger staring right at him!Ready to pounce!

<===Jia's Perspective====>

While Jin is dealing with the Skeleton Tiger, Jia is running for his life. Seeing a small opening in the wall he can fit in, he quickly turns towards it then slides in.While still catching his breath, Jia takes a peek outside to see if a demonic beast saw him only to breathe a sigh of relief when he doesn't see anything.Turning around to see where he is, he gets shocked! He found the thing he is looking for! A Skull Rose! Quickly stashing it away, Jia leaves through the small opening then quietly but quickly leaves the cave to go wait at the meeting place Jin set up.

<====Jins Perspective===>

As Jia goes to the meeting place, Jin is fighting the Skeleton Tiger!

Quickly dodging an attack, Jin kicks at the tiger only for it jump up and over him, while slashing at his back. Seeing the tiger using a slash attack , Jin roars out as he quickly turns around. "Using a slash attack are ya? How about this! Slash of the Demon!"As they clash it clear to see that the tiger is at a disadvantage, so Jin stops the clash and ducks down and sweeps the tigers feet out from underneath of him, which causes the tiger to fall. Using this to his advantage, Jin use Slash of the Demon again, which hits the tigers body and sends it flying straight at a tree. "Thud" the tiger hits the tree:Dead.

Quickly walking over , Jin pulls out a dagger and a bottle as he takes one of the tigers bones called the Spirit Bone, which holds something called Bone Essence which is used in pill making.Using the dagger he puts a hole in it than drains out the Bone Essence into the bottle. After he finishes he puts the Bone Essence and the dagger back into his pouch where the Bone Leaf is than quickly scales down the mountain, going to the meeting place.

<===The Meeting Place====>

"Hey Jia!"

Jin says, which causes Jia to turn towards him.

"Hey Jin! Do you have the Bone Leaf and Essence?

Jia says, happy that Jin is alright.

"Yea, lets go back! I still have to learn how to refine pills! And the only place I can do that is at SkyStrike city's famous Pill Master Hall!"

Jia nods as they start walking down Burning Tree Mountain towards Pill Master Hall.
