4 Chapter Four: Surprise

Today is Saturday August 18, so it is expected from father to come home early and also for my sister, she's is still studying in College Civil Engineering. As for my little brother, he's sleeping upstairs. And for me, ofcourse we don't have any classes, I'm still studying as a senior high student.

Not long, after half an hour, the two arrive (my father and my sister).

"We're home". They immediately go to the kitchen to eat without changing their clothes first.

"Where's Sai?" my father asked with confusion.

It's pretty common for our house to be always in miserable because of my naughty little brother. So it's pretty uncommon for them to hear nothing when they come home.

"Oh! Sai? He's sleeping in his bedroom". My mom answered with a little giggle.

"Hehehe yeah, he sleep last night very late. That's what you get when drinking coffee to much Hahahah!!!!!" my father laugh as he talk. My mother also giggle as she was covering her mouth.

"Chloe can you wake up Sai" my mother commanded.

Chloe just go upstair.

It didn't take long, my sister come down along with Sai.

"Come on now... let's eat" my mother says with a great smile.

At the table..

We are now all eating our food. It's really quiet, I can feel the awkwardness in the air but even if, there's still a positive atmosphere roaming around. Situation like this, I know there will be a ruckus that is goin to happen but I wonder what it is.

"I almost forgot that there was something that your father will tell you". She says it while hitting my father's feet, it is like my mom was trying to make my father tell it to us.

"Oh! Yes... I've got a good news, well.... You can also say it as a surprise".

"What is it?!"my sister asked, from what I'm seeing now, my sister is really excited. If father says that it is a surprise for Chloe herself, if you want to surprise her you should give her something that she wants to. So when father wanting to surprise us both it means that it is really a long desired wish.

"What an aura your spreading. Your face is full of sparkle. Hahahahah any way.... I am noy fired from my job....." my father talk with a smile on his face.

Then suddenly, the atmosphere is pale. Everyone of us was quiet and as for my mom she was making an unknown face something like confusion fused with anger.

"How was that supposed to be a good news.... And your still smiling....is it really true?! But how about our loan, we still didn't paid it. And our expenses,we doesn't have enough money to survive this month.... If this is a joke, well it's not funny.....----" my mother was yelling. It was loud I even covered my ear, it felt like my ear drum was goin to explode.

My mom didn't finish what she was goin to say cause my sister Chloe interupted.

"Yes dad... How about us?! Are we goin to stop studying? I'm a College student now, it's not long until I get a job. Why now in all og a sudden?!!! My sister shouted loudly. She was so furios when she heard what dad says.

"Sssshhhhh..... What's all the energetic behavior? I didn't finish yet what I am goin to say.... So relax,cause it's only a beggining" Dad says in a good manner.

"Then say it already,you are making me anxious. But now I'm really burnt inside out, so the next news should gotta be a good thing or else." Mom warned dad while clentching her hands.

*Gulp* Dad just swallow and now making a wierd face, I think he is now nervous.

"Okay..from what I've said earlier, I was fired but I was immediately promoted in a newly job. And this job that I was promoted in was pretty convenient, and because it is very easy you can even also help me with my work." Father explaining things with a smile on his face making a us at ease.

Mother just frowned making her look fierce. "What is this your saying your newly job that we might also help you?" Mom question father with a nonchalant expression.

"Yes father what is it?!" Chloe says excitingly.

"Okay... My newly convenient job is..... I'm a engineer, goin to build----" Mom suddenly interupted.

"What?!! Is that it ?!! Your old job was your also an engineer, so what is the difference between this new job?!" Mom suddenly, back to her lion roar.

"Wait... I know it's sounds like it's not makin any sense. But can you please make me finish what Im am goin to say." I think dad is gettin angry now.

Mom just move her eyebrow, telling "okay... Go on."

Then dad smile and just thank mom.

"Continue..... Our manager and the CEO of the company that I was working on bought a land. They want to build a building there for their company, new company I mean. And the benefit is..... Every month they will provide a huge amount of money to the employies who are helping on building their headquarter...for about 10 thousand dollars. And if we finish the said building we will be given a bonus for like about 100 thousand dollars. But first I need to do something."

Dad continue explaining with a great big smile on his face and a little bit of sparkle.

"What?! Are you serious? That was a lot of money. And from what you are saying I think we might ne able to help you. That was really a great news, I can't believe it. We can now pay our loan and much for that we will never have a problem about the expenses concerning our bills and for the Chloe's school payments." Mom was now relieve from what he heard from dad. Saying those words in a soft relieved voice. "But what are you saying that you still have something to do?" Mom ask in confusion.

"Yes.... And too much for that. The project was in the game "VRMMO", so I still have to in a required level to be able to build their headquarter."

As long as dad says that it involve about the game my eyes got bigger and now I think there is now a sparkle in my eyes and there's still some echo voice in my head saying "play the game"over and over.

As for my sister Chloe her eyes got bigger, bigger than mine and have much sparkle than mine too."Really dad?! we can now be able to play the game too?! I'm really excited.. Can we buy the device tomorrow?" My sister really said it in a highly energetic voice.

And as for me, I guess my plan on playin the game was now coming true.

"What a rush Chloe? Hahahahahha" Dad juat laugh at Chloe.

And mom also giggle a little.

"I already order the device last week, and I think it will be delivered this evening. So we will start to play the game this evening."

Chloe, from excitement she immediately call her friends telling them that she will now be able to play the game.

Then the ruckus has now stopped. And now the night comes.

*ding *dong

"I guess it was now deliver."-dad

"Delivered?!" Chloe was startled from what she heard. She immediately come down from her room. "I'm on it" I guess no one is gonna stop her now. Chloe rush from the door and open it.

"Is this the Third family?" the delivery man ask.

"YES!!!!" Chloe answered immediately without any delay with a loud voice filled with excitement.
