16 'Beginnings'

"Edward Garcia!! This a report containing some important information! I need you... to deliver it to the head of the IT department who's now in Beijing... with topmost secrecy. Hope your men know their way..."

"Yes Sir!... I'll get going..."

As he starts to leave with the report, he notices some giggles and chatter at the near corner and a very familiar face. He hands over the report to one of his men and moved towards them.

"Oh... dear Shin... don't you miss your ex...huh?

"You and your ex was working together..right...? just because there's no evidence against you.... doesn't mean you ain't guilty....get that woman?!!

Shin controls herself as she knew acting up now, can only lead to more conflicts. So, she stood in front of her seniors who teased her, without any reaction and head lowered.

"Hey... heyy Guys what's the matter here?"

"Nothing... actually...or to be precise nothing that could make... an armed security man...indulge in."

"Well....where things happen... against rules...order should be there...and order is made by the police...we are their equal or maybe more high leveled than them....so here we are...does that answer your question?"

The men tried to hide their fear and started mumbling.

"Umm...we were just... you know...asking something..."

"Well from what I saw...it was bullying...which is against the discipline of the University...I guess..."

The men disappeared within a few seconds. Edward spinned around to face Shin, she stood glaring at him, blankly.

"Thank you.."

"Yea yea ..... it's my pleasure... Um...do...you know that person...with treachery and all...was he your ex...? I mean...I just asked...you don't need to..."

"Yes he was."

"Ahhh... You know you can never trust people..."

Shin walks towords her office near the lab and Edward followed her. He notices her name card as he entered her office.

"Oh...so your name is Chen Shin!.... That's rhyming...hehe... Well...I am Edward Garcia."

Edward forwards his hand as a gesture to shake hands, but Shin barely notices it.

"Well... it's okay if you don't want to...So you are basically...from the pathology department...ahh... that's nice...well..I wonder what made you take it...

Nice office...you know...

Is Professor Chen Zhao dao your brother?...you know I saw you talking... with him the other day..."

Shin lets out a sigh and stared at him. On catching up with Shin's stare, Edward realises that he was talking too much.

"Oh I'm sorry...I just went overboard...Um.. you have pretty eyes you know... okay I guess you want me to leave... that's the thing with the stare..."

As Edward turns to leave. Shin abruptly starts talking again bluntly.

"Nice meeting you...Edward..."

Suddenly the Intercom buzzed, Shin and Edward looked up, onto the speaker.

"ATTENTION....Everyone!! there has been a calamity in the Shandong!!!

The citizens in the University....please do not PANIC!!"
