2 'Against the Invaders'

"A skull?"

"Yes!! But it looks... less human!"

Chang Lee couldn't speak, he found himself lost in thought, the more he thought the more clearer the picture got and he was sure, on what he had to do next.

"Chang Lee! What should we do? Chang Lee are you listening? I can't help but shiver with fear! What could it be?"

"Listen, Xaong! You said it was found it at the banks right? Did anyone see it?"

"Yes...at the bank! No, the labourers had started going to the the mess. I stayed back to dig it deeper enough. That's when...I saw it and I.. just didnt know what to do....so I covered it up again!"

"Good! Great...Xaong! You don't need to worry about it.... I'll take care of it.

"Yes...Chang Lee..."

"Where did you say it was?"

"Under the large rime tree in the banks of Songhua river."

'The past won't be repeated again. I will make sure to hide it, no matter what! What is ours, will remain to be ours." Chang Lee mumbled to himself as he closed the account book.

"Thud...!"

In 1929, skeleton remains were found in North-east China, which were also considered less human. The Russians had their claim over Manuchuria, before the Japanese took over in 1932, so their archeologists took over the skeletal remain's ownership giving them a rise in the field of anthropology.

Chang Lee was a local contract labourer who secretly headed a group, against the anti- Chinese invaders, who invaded their state. Back then in 1929, working as a labourer under the Russian rule, made him witness the act of fake credits and ownership. This infuriated Chang Lee,as a result he headed a small protest against this, but was dismissed to another location accompanied by a threat.

"Today could be a chance from stopping them on taking what's ours."

Mumbling, he paced towards the Songhua river with a shovel and a sack in his hand.

"No matter what.... I have to hide it."
