14 Thrashed

Osiris evaded the tendrils with his speed whilst he held on his scythe. The Daimyo-Akuma was surprisingly very agile even though the two of them were fighting in a tight space which was in the station platform.

"Damn it. Too loose!" Ozi said to himself. He dashed towards the left and another darkness tendril followed him.

The Soul Reaver tried to charge up his Youkai pressure on his scythe. Another set of dark tendrils made their way towards him and tried to attack him. The giant spider Akumajunin was trying to aim its dark webs towards the black-clad Soul Reaver in order to immobilize him but the Soul Reaver was too fast.

Osiris was using his flash step speed to evade the attacks. The tendrils continued to chase him and immediately when he saw an opening, he countered with slashes of his own and subsequently it severed the tendrils made of dark energy.

The Soul Reaver took notice that the giant demon arachnid reeled back upon his attack and immediately he put the pressure on it and continued his rush towards the giant spider. He jumped up high in the air and executed a vertical slash with his scythe. The attack was coated with blue flame Youkai pressure and again the Daimyo-Akuma flinched once more.

The giant spider tried to get on the counter attack as it fired a series of dark web attacks now but the latter attacks were just burned off by the Soul Reaver and another vertical slash connected on the giant spider.

Ozi landed on the ground. His eyes were bright amber in color whilst he held on his scythe. Elle laid eyes on him and she was amazed as usual. She felt this time that there was no bloodlust on his way of battling the giant demon dweller.

"Nice job Ozi!" she shouted. The Soul Reaver looked towards the blonde to give her a thumbs up but then he noticed a dark tendril approaching right behind her.

"Elle look out!" Osiris shouted as he rushed to get behind her. The girl shouted and closed her eyes while she braced herself for the incoming attack, but then she felt calm blue flames surround her.

The Soul Reaver sliced the tendril into oblivion while protecting the blonde-haired girl from danger. His flames wrapped the two of them now and the girl noticed that they were not burning her.

"These flames feel cold." Elle thought to herself. "And yet they also feel…" she continued to think to herself.

"Familiar…" she found herself blurting out of the blue.

Ozi on the other hand now held on the Apex Released version of his weapon.

"Chotenkai (Apex Release)" Ozi said with a serious look on his face. "Kagemoyasu 影燃やす (Shadow Burner)" he added.

The Daimyo-Akuma tried to brace itself and let out a series of tendrils in order to attack the black-clad Soul Reaver. The latter stood still and instead smirked whilst his darkened blue flame Youkai eagerly raged around him.

The spider-like creature began moving as well and it rushed towards Osiris with a speed that was as fast as raging winds. Elle was a bit worried now and she nudged him.

"What the hell are you doing?! It's coming this way!" she shouted. Osiris paid the panic of the female blonde no mind.

He readied Kagemoyasu and immediately a blue fire cloaked the blade of his sword. His eyes lit up a light blue color and he shifted in to a stance in which he held his blade with both hands facing forward as if he was going to execute a forward thrust.

"Yoganwaru! (Molten Splitter) 溶岩割る" he shouted and when the gigantic demon dweller rushed towards him, it made contact with his blade. A blue flame burst out of his weapon which protected him and the girl beside him.

Elle was surprised that they were not ran over by the Daimyo-Akuma, instead she saw that its body were split into two. The huge entity was sliced in two, with even portions on each side. She saw Osiris smirk a bit as he executed the move.

The sliced portions of the Akumajunin began to be engulfed in a dark blue flame and it was not long before that the then gigantic spider-like demon dweller was easily dispatched by the Soul Reaver beside her.

"Amazing…" she said out loud.

A clapping noise was heard in the vicinity in which they were at.

"Indeed. This is interesting." A familiar voice said from the shadows. He emerged from the darkness; it was none other than the long-haired teen from earlier.

"Dietrich." Osiris said as he readied his weapon.

"I take back what I said earlier. Your Youkai is quite impressive, for a Soul Reaver that is." He said.

Ozi did not respond to him, instead he attempted to blast him with flames coming from his blade. The flame projectile which was making its way towards the long-haired teen was shut down by the latter however with only a flick of his hand.

"No way…" Elle said. She felt even more fearful now due to the powerful being standing before them.

"What the hell are you?" Osiris asked. He gripped on his weapon tighter.

"Heh." The long-haired teen said. "Even if I told you…" he continued to say as he charged up darkness energy on his left hand. "YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND!" he shouted.

A blast of darkness sprouted from his left hand but suddenly the darkness projectile was halted with a green energy forcefield. A familiar female Soul Reaper appeared behind the long-haired teen.

"Dietrich Rhapsodos." The female voice said. It was Samara.

"Shit." Dietrich replied with a smirk on his face. "Two Soul Reavers? Damn I must be a threat." He jokingly said.

"Indeed." Samara replied. "The Jushiomo Council seeks to apprehend you and your kind." She sternly said.

Dietrich laughed in a sinister way. He put a hand on the half of his face and his red eyes lit up. The pupils of his eyes became that of a feline's. Darkness Youkai continued to rage around his hands.

"If Soul Reavers think that they can apprehend the likes of us, then they have another thing coming." He said to her in response.

"Us?" Ozi asked in response.

"The Rairin-Akuma 来臨悪魔 (Advent Demons)" Samara said to him. "The ones who control and command the Akumajunin." She added.

"My, my. Sounds like someone has done their research all right." Dietrich said. "But unfortunately, I can't stay here no longer than I should so, ciao." He said and immediately a shadow portal made of darkness Youkai appeared beneath his feet and on cue he sunk down within it and disappeared.

Samara attempted to chase him but to no avail. Osiris then reverted back his weapon to its original form which is the Scythe.

"Now I see the nature of the problem." He said to the Jushiomo member.

"The Advent Demons have been set free, well, half of them at least." Samara said in response.

"Is that why there are those things terrorizing this town?" Elle asked the female Soul Reaver. The latter looked towards her.

"She has not forgotten about me? Even though I used the memory eraser? Interesting." Samara replied.

"What? What is she talking about?" the blonde asked Ozi.

"Enough." The black-clad Soul Reaver said. "Samara, what should I do? What does the Council recommend?" Osiris asked her.

"There is no directive yet. All the orders are coming from Samael. It would seem that Fate is unreachable right now." She replied. "It's really strange." She said.

Osiris felt a sinking feeling in his gut. How could have Fate not ordered anything yet during an impending crisis such as this.

"What the hell is Fate doing?" Ozi said. "I mean he should now a lot of things going on right now." He added.

"Indeed. For the meantime, just keep this place safe from demon dwellers and gather the souls of departed as well. I will look in to this more and come back to you if I find out anything else." She said as she conjured a black teleportation portal.

"How the hell will you inform me with that info when we have no means of communication at all? It doesn't help when you always pop out of nowhere like this." Ozi responded to her.

Samara tossed Ozi a small device which looked similar to an old pager.

"Use that." She said to him and she walked through the portal and disappeared.
