3 Defeat at the Hands of Death

Ozi swung his weapon horizontally and a huge surge of flames appeared from his weapon. Cereb dodged with ease and instead rushed at Ozai.

"Fate will not be kind to the betrayer!" the assassin stated.

Cereb then executed an attack which transformed the blade of his rapier to a spirit like sword weapon and it extended its length which followed the Death God now.

Ozi upon realizing his predicament now evaded the attacks of the assassin but the latter's weapon was homing and locked onto him.

"You don't give up do you?" the Death God asked and in return he caught the spirit blade of the assassin with his bare hands.

Elle was still befuddled at what she was witnessing. Watching two fighting supernatural entities were not on her to do list.

"What the heck is this?" she asked herself. She was scared alright.

The death god clad in black then pulled the spirit blade he was holding in his hands and started to conjure blue flames around his arms. The flames traveled towards the hilt of the spirit blade but the assassin known as Cereb was too quick and upon realizing this he reverted his spirit blade back to his rapier.

Ozi calmed down and the blue flames around his arms dissipated. His aurum eyes shone in the night whilst he conjured his scythe by his side once again.

"Fate has come collecting the debts." Cereb said to him. "Such is the fate of wayward souls." he added.

"Last time I checked, only one of us actually bears the power to collect souls." Ozi replied and immediately he swung his scythe horizontally. Curved flame projectiles emerged from such act which hurled themselves towards the assassin.

Cereb on the other hand dodged the flame projectiles and, in its stead, he rushed towards the Death god.

"Take this!" he shouted at the ebony clad death god.

The Assassin swung multiple times chaining his attacks towards Ozi. The latter dodged every single one of them but there was effort on his part. Cereb's attacks tend to go faster each time he executes a swing of his blade.

"This is the end." he said to the Death god.

Ozi felt the pressure of Cereb's attacks. The latter executed a series of quick thrusts which led to the former jumping out of the way of the attacks.

"What you did was against the rules!" Cereb further insisted.

In an instant, when the assassin thought that he had the upper hand at last. He continued to be aggressive but little did he know that it was going to lead to his downfall.

Cereb then tried to attack him with a vertical overhand slash of his blade but Ozi was too quick and he immediately blocked it. Going further, Ozi then tried to disarm the assassin and the latter tried to fight back but again was caught off guard.

Ozi immobilized the arm of Cereb which was holding the rapier and his other hand he grabbed the latter's neck and pushed him against the wall. Azure flames then wrapped around the hands of the Death god.

"If you were wise." Ozi started to say. "You would leave now. Tell Fate that he can leave my decisions be." he added.

The assassin struggled as he tried to conjure his rapier once more but Osiris's strength was too much for him.

"Fate cannot be…. circumvented." Cereb said.

"Would he rather have his hounds of hell killed by the Death god himself? You do know that there is already chaos in the Netherworld." Osiris stated. His aurum eyes shone in the night.

Elle saw a different side to that person or entity that saved her a few days back. She saw him then as a gentle person but now she sees that he also possesses powers beyond measure.

"Order will only… be restored once Fate is back in charge!!" Cereb shouted as the howling of wolves was heard in the background. Ozi was unfazed though and the former then disappeared in a cloud of darkness. It is as if he disintegrated while Osiris was already pinning him against the wall.

The death god sighed. He had known that Cerberus or Cereb was one of Fate's most loyal followers.

A flying raven then perched itself on Ozi's shoulders. Elle saw this as she was watching the death god calm himself down.

"My my, it seems that things are more unstable as we thought." The raven said.

"Indeed. There looks to be a power struggle in the ranks." the death god replied

Ozi kept calm, but then heard a surprised voice. It seemed that the death god had forgotten that Elle, was still in the area.

"That crow just t-t-talked!!" the blonde-haired student said.

"Actually, I am raven." the bird on Ozi's shoulders replied to her. The latter remained silent.

"What is going on here?!" Elle then asked. She wanted to get to the bottom of things.

Ozi still did not reply to her.

"Master I believe the lady is asking you a question." the Raven replied to him.

"It is none of her business." the death god replied.

"You sure made it her business when you saved her from dying a few days ago." the raven quipped back at him.

Elle then heard this and immediately went in front of the death god.

"So, it was you!" she then shouted at him. "The question is why save me?!! Why am I involved in this mess?" she continued to question him.

Osiris was nonchalant. He did not heed her questioning instead he just walked past her.

"Hey! Why are you like that?!" Elle continued to ask him.

"The master thinks you are too loud for him." the Raven talked in Osiris' stead.

"I think he can reply well since he can talk after all!" Elle said.

Osiris sighed. He looked towards the blonde-haired girl and said.

"Fine we will talk." he first stated. "You did make a point that when I saved you it became your business." he added.

Elle smirked.

"Finally, you listen to me!" she said.

The death god conjured a dark portal beneath the three of them.

"But not here." Osiris concluded and the three of them disappeared from sight.
