16 Titan

"How was your fight?" asked Kate, jumping on Clive's huge shoulder.

"Simple" Clive replied in a disinterested tone, "it's been a long time since we've had a serious battle"

"Yeah, whatever, let's go see how Kevin's doing"

"Hey, Clive, Kate, did you hear the news?" a person suddenly rushed past them, sweat dripping from his forehead.

"What happened?" Kate asked, eyeing the drenched man.

"Titan is back and he's about to fight a newcomer named Zelgius on the first floor".

"WHAT? BROTHER TITAN IS BACK?" Clive exclaimed excitedly.

"LET'S GO FAST" Kate also roared with excitement as she jumped off Clive's shoulder, instantly running towards the elevator.

"A soul crystal? Aren't you overestimating your abilities?" Titan asked calmly, "I'm not as weak as that woman,"

"But doesn't such a bet make the whole fight more exciting?" Kevin replied while smiling uncontrollably under his mask.

Although he's not too confident in defeating this Titan, however, if he really is a former sixth-floor fighter, then something as fourth-tier ore isn't much of a problem to get.

So Kevin decided to play some mind games.

"You do realize that a fourth level ore is no use for me?" Titan asked with disinterest shimmering from both of his eyelids, "I don't need your ore, but if I somehow lose, I'll give it to you."

Kevin, hearing such a statement, smiled under the mask, realizing that his plan worked. Why would someone from higher floors need a fourth-level crystal, they probably have hundreds of them.

"Anyway, I'll never lose," the Titan asserted as an abrupt aura radiated from his body, causing a few drops of sweat to appear on Kevin's forehead.

'Such strength,' Kevin thought while looking around the arena.

The place was getting more and more crowded after Titan hopped into the fight, showing off his ridiculous reputation.

This once again indicated that Kevin had to win, or at least put up some resistance, after all, the more people see this battle, the more money he gets.

"TITANNN" a loud scream rang through the arena as two figures jumped onto the stage. However, the man in the black suit stopped them from going any further.

Kevin looked curiously at the source of the noise, only to see his new "friends" Clive and Kate.

"Long time no see, Kate, Clive," Titan replied, not even bothering to turn his head towards them, just focusing on Kevin.

"THAT'S EVERYTHING YOU SAY AFTER DISAPPEARING FOR A YEAR?" Kate yelled angrily, "COME HERE, I WILL BEAT THE SHIT OUT FROM YOU"

"Improve your power first" Titan countered.

"HEY...Wait, Kevin?" Clive was about to say something, but the calmly standing Kevin on the other side of the arena dispelled his thoughts, "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Of course, fighting" Kevin replied, also not giving them any attention.

"Kevin, I suggest you give up, there's no way you can defeat him" Kate muttered as her expression paled slightly, remembering how she herself was destroyed by that giant.

'It seems like they know each other,' Kevin thought while getting into a battle stance, 'It's too late"

"'Tch ... just don't cry when he beats you," Kate snapped while sitting down right next to the arena for a better view.

"Since you're friends with them, it means that you're are indeed not so simple" Titan stated calmly as he gripped the ax on his back, "Let our battle begin."

Kevin nodded as he shifted his thoughts and focused on the fight, which wasn't so easy due to the endless cheering.

Titan began to step forward discreetly, causing a tremor on the stage with each step he took. Kevin expertly unclipped his blade and began to move forward as well.

Blood gushed in Kevin's body, adrenaline-rushed, excitement rose with every move he made. Finally, they were right next to each other, however, neither side attacked.

They simply stared into each other's dark eyes, preparing for a battle. The footsteps of the bystanders quieted as if sensing the intensity on the stage.

Clive and Kate stared aghast at this scene, never expecting Kevin to be so reckless and follow Titan's actions.

"Those two are mad" Clive laughed out loud.

Kate just nodded in agreement proceeding to survey the fight.

The first move was made by Kevin, he slashed his blade towards Titan's bondmen, but that attack never reached its target.

Titan swung at the blade with his huge ax, causing it to instantly fly out of Kevin's grip due to the difference in force.

Kevin didn't care about the lost blade and jumped into the air to kick Titan in the head.

Titan didn't even flinch and lunged forward. The blow was too fast for Kevin's eyes to even follow as it landed directly on his body, almost covering it completely.

Kevin flew backward as he balanced his body in the air to avoid getting any major injuries until he finally managed to stop.

"I'm impressed," Titan spoke, looking at the dark blade in Kevin's hand, "You're really good with your hands, I didn't even see when you picked it up."

Kevin ignored his statement and adjusted his posture while feeling a slight pain all over his body.

The whole action didn't even last a few seconds, but Kevin already had a few broken ribs. Titan didn't even move from his spot the entire time, registering his dominance on this stage.

The crowd was shocked by such development as they cheered in a tumor. Some were already predicting the gruesome outcome of this battle with Kevin clearly on the losing side.

"You forced me" Kevin stated coldly as he extended his hand forward, "Come out, Wolf."

With this sentence, a dark figure suddenly appeared next to Kevin, giving everyone a good scare. Even the ever calm Titan looked at this creature in amazement.

"You have some interesting tricks," Titan stated as the aura around him tightened even more, "then I will use some of my power."

With that said, Titan lunged at the duo.

He aimed his ax directly at the dark wolf. But something felt a miss because the beast didn't even move, instead, Titan easily pierced right through its neck causing it to disappear.

Titan looked at Kevin with question marks on his face.

"You have dual god powers yet both of them are so useless?" declared Titan cockily while extending his weapon in the air, "You're weak"

*Boom*

Suddenly, a hit landed neatly on Titan's cheek, forcing him to slide a few feet away. A mark appeared on his face, but it didn't detract from his calm expression.

"Your god power is interesting, Zelgius" he spoke while slightly scratching his face lightly as if to remove some dust.

Kevin predicted such an outcome, however seeing the fully concentrated punch of a fourth-level human not even bothering him, hurt his pride.

"Stay here, Wolf," Kevin ordered as he rushed to the side, trying to circle the Titan.

Nevertheless, the Titan didn't even flinch when he saw what Kevin was trying to do, and only clutched the ax tighter, waiting for the coming attack.

'Now,' Kevin thought as they both charged at the Titan at full speed. Kevin swung the blade towards Titan's legs, hoping to distribute his movement while Wolf attacked the upper body.

However, just as their attack was about to land, a bluish shield formed around Titan's body.

Wrinkles obliged on Kevin's forehead due to the immense danger posed by the bluish force.

But it was too late to stop the attack.

As soon as Kevin's blade touched the shield, a strange tremor went through his body, or more precisely, through his legs.

Wolf, on the other hand, instantly vanished.

Kevin fell lifelessly to the ground.

He tried to move his legs, but couldn't as if he had never had any.

With a sideways glance, he looked below only to see that both his legs were completely covered in crimson blood.

'What the hell is happening?' Kevin thought once again reopening his eyes to make sure it wasn't a dream, 'What kind of god's power is this? Isn't it too powerful?'

"Is this all you have got? It seems I won't be having any fun on this floor" Titan chimed out uninterestedly as he moved towards the prone Kevin.

Titan picked the small body up off the ground, wrapping his hand around him wholly. Kevin tried resisting, but it was impossible to do.

"I'm going to finish this"

Kevin, hearing Titan's declaration, instantly summoned Wolf from behind the Titan. Wolf looked extremely angry after dying twice in a row against this person, so he jumped forward with frightening speed trying to bite the opponent's neck.

"You think I'm going to fall for the same trick twice?" Titan stated as he abruptly turned around and swung his ax towards the pitiful wolf, making it the third death of the day.

"Oh, I knew you wouldn't fall for that," Kevin said as Hulu appeared on the left. The Titan realized he couldn't dodge in time, so a blue, transparent shield formed around him again.

However this time, Kevin was inside of it as well

'As I thought,' Kevin said in his head as another monster appeared behind his back, 'Huru, destroy him'

Kevin's servant promptly ducked and picked up the sword from the ground. He slashed straight into the Titan's back, but just as the sword was about to land on his body, he disappeared.

Kevin only felt as if a second had passed, but they were already several feet away. He eyed Titan's body, looking for an answer to this phenomenon, and sure enough, he felt different.

The aura around him seemed to become firmer and more stable, clearly making him stronger.

'What the hell is that?" thought Kevin once again, but his attention was drawn to the talking Titan.

"That was smart, you figured out my weakness so quickly and used your god's power inside of my shield....however that's still not enough," he said as a gigantic aura rose from his body covering him completely.

Kevin saw the Titan getting embraced by an infinite amount of mana as the grip intensified. With each passing second, the pain in Kevin's body developed until he couldn't even feel his tentacles.

Kevin wanted to declare his surrendering, however, no words managed to leave his mouth as the mana around Titan grew even more formidable.

Due to the excessive blood loss and an insufficient amount of oxygen, Kevin passed out, still seeing the colossal body in front of him
