16 The Fun Part Begins.

Ernest sang on the stage for almost three minutes, attracting the crowds with his soothing voice and otherworldly music and notes, it was their first time listening to modern music, letting out gasps of admiration, which turned to cheers when they realized that it was their leader of the United National Socialist Party.

As soon as it ended, the cheers continued, as if wanting him to sing another one. But Ernest stepped down the stage and waved his hand back at them, indicating that he'll pass.

"Well, it did go well," Ernest muttered as he noticed the effectiveness of singing modern music in the medieval-age era.

Then his eyes wandered around, looking for Sophia. Despite the loud cheers and people waving their hands at him, blocking his view, he managed to find her.

She was there standing, not moving, as if she was dumbstruck, staring at him intently.

As soon as he approached her, the girls suddenly frolicked around him. Ernest found them attractive and beautiful.

"Sir Ernest! I've always been moved by your speech, you were such an eloquent speaker. I can't believe that you are also a singer as well."

"Me too! I wish that you can sing for me...with that handsome voice of yours."

"Sir Ernest…! Please sing one more…"

"The moment I heard your voice, my heart skipped a beat. It's like you're my prince, Sir Ernest!"

Ernest can only let out a forced chuckle as he was being surrounded by girls. Their hands were onto him as they traced his body, tickling him. This was his first time being surrounded by beautiful girls. Were it not for the piercing look he received from Sophia, he might have savored this feeling for a full hour.

"Sorry about that...I'm a bit cornered here." Ernest murmured as he asked for help.

Sophia sighed wryly and walked forward.

Sophia grabbed him by the arm and stole him away from the girls.

"Mind your manners, this is the supreme leader of the United National Socialist Party," Sophia said, glaring at them with an intimidating aura surrounding her.

The atmosphere heavied and the air got cold, Sophia's cold aura emanated and made the girls run for their lives.

Seeing that, Ernest sighed.

"Thank you…"

"...It's nothing…"

"I was wondering why you're glaring at me when I was surrounded by them? Is it because you're jealous?" Ernest teased.

"Ha?!" Sophia hurriedly retorted, her face dyed red. "Why would I be jealous? If you want to spend your time here with them then go for it."

"Hoh? You're giving me permission? Then, if you'll excuse me…Ouch…"

Sophia smacked him in the head.

"What was that for?"

"You're horrible…!"

"Calm down...I'm just joking...I always love looking at your bashful face."

Sophia blushed. "Eh…?"

"Come on, let's go to the table you found for us."

And so during his time in the tavern, Ernest exchanged words with Sophia about what happened during his first-month stay in this city, they drank beer and got smashed. During that, Ernest danced with the crowds, ensuring that the mission would end as he fulfilled his goal here.

This is an effective tactic to make someone support you even more because people will find that you're one of them, sharing words, dancing together, drinking, partying, and so on. Ernest most of his time dancing on the dance floor, his groovy and fluid movements made those around him carry, resulting in the following his steps.

Two hours later, the night had descended and it was the signal for Ernest to go home. But there's one problem.

Since Ernest was completely drunk, Sophia hailed a coach to get home. Upon arriving, Sophia supported him walking by having his arm around her neck until they get

"Moah...I didn't know that you're such a weak drinker. Ernest." Sophia said as she supported Ernest by having his hand hooked around her neck. Ernest tottered like a literal drunk man.

Arriving in his bedroom Sophia set Ernest carefully on the bed.

"Mwesuacnand…" Ernest slurred out an indecipherable word.

"What?"

"Ai nyowant to dwink aniemore."

Sophia giggled at his slurred speech as she found it cute and attractive. He was the one who told her to go here and have some drink and he is saying he doesn't want more?

"Well if you drink one bottle, I think you'll be fine," Sophia said, she stood there watching him fall to sleep. However, while he was still awake, Sophia asked a question.

"Ow, what's the name of the song you sang earlier? It was beautiful." Sophia said, her face blushing as she watched her memories of him singing an unknown beautiful song on the stage.

Surprisingly and unexpectedly, Ernest rose to his feet as if he was not drunk anymore, or was it. He was just acting tough and approached her.

"What? What are you doing?"

Ernest suddenly lifted her off the ground and carried her as if she was a princess and he set her on the bed. Ernest was on top of her and his face was close.

"Enough of it...stop saying my voice is beautiful...you're the one who's beautiful?"

"...Ernest?" After hearing him say beautiful to her again, she flustered.

"For some reason, my chest feels warm when I'm with you. It's been such a long time since I felt this way. So...why don't you become mine? When you look at me with those shining eyes, you can't complain about whatever I do to you." Ernest leaned closer as he looked at her soft lips and he targeted it with his lips.

Seeing his lips approaching hers, Sophia didn't resist. As if she wanted it. But she was far from ready, Ernest wasn't this assertive when he was in a normal state. Maybe he's just teasing him. But as his lips drew closer and closer, it was otherwise.

Then...ploop. Though their lips touched each other, it wasn't the kiss she's expecting. It was more like something landed on her lips. Sophia was puzzled.

Then...

Ernest let out a snoring sound.

In the morning, Ernest was in the governmental office affairs of the mansion. The morning breeze coming from the window cooled him a little as he tried his best to remember what happened yesterday.

"Did I do something to her?" Ernest muttered.

His last memories were him leaving the tavern, beyond that, he doesn't know. He asked Sophia about it but she only looked away with her face red. Indicating that something really happened.

"Did I touch her?" He hoped nothing happened between them.

Alone in his office, Ernest decided to open the menu to pass time and forget about things. He ordered Sophia earlier to call the representatives of each race as he will discuss his planned reforms to them.

[Congratulations! You completed the main quest: Be a man of people.]

[You received 100,000 tyrant points.]

"I really can't believe it, I just danced and sang yesterday and I got 100,000 tyrant points?"

[You singing and dancing there is a compelling message. You being there became the hot topic of the people and they were happy about it.]

"Huh? How can you say that?"

[The system monitors the user's progress of any mission by checking out the people's behavior around you yesterday.]

"So you can do that as well huh? You know, in every system novel I read, they have this so-called omniscience view where they can locate minerals, oils, create a map, et cetera. Can you do that?"

[The system doesn't have that feature. This system primarily focuses on the user's path to becoming a tyrant. Though I can act like google if you want.]

"Ow...that's cool. You are like a sage system, you know that?"

[Yes.]

"So, while waiting for the representative to come, can I receive the next mission, please? Am I one step closer to becoming a tyrant?"

[You're still far away but by completing this quest, you're moving one step to that goal. Since you're going to meet up with the representative, the system is going to give you your next mission.]

[New Main Quest unlocked.]

Ernest focused his attention on the new quest. Now that he has become a man of people, what is the next step towards tyranny?

[Main Quest Description: Now that you've cemented your bond with the common people, you might be feeling like your date with destiny is at hand, but not so fast. If you wanna make history, you'll need to grab people at an even deeper level. Their subconscious.

New mission: Brand your movement.

Rewards: 200,000 tyrant points.

Like with any product, for your budding movement to break from the pack, you'll need a great marketing strategy. Take Adolf Hitler for example, who was a natural-born ad-man. He knew the power of the image. He recognized the power of branding.

You didn't just have to have the man, but you also had to have the iconography to go with it.]

"Iconography?" Ernest repeated as he did a little contemplation.

[Yes, and when it comes to symbols, you have to admit the swastika in a white circle on a red banner is very powerful.]

"I see where you're getting into. You're implying that I need to create a symbol for the party right?"

[Exactly right.]

Affirming him that, Ernest grinned. He thought of something just perfect and right for their United National Socialist Party.
