Lilah's POV

After 3 days of travelling, Lilah had finally reached her destination. She had to come all this way, there was no other option. She gracefully yanked on the steering wheel of her blacked out Chevrolet, and pulled into the parking lot of the motel. "This is it..." she said to herself, her hands tightening around the steering wheel whilst she leaned forward and gazed up at the neon lighting through the windshield.

"Sh..shell? Hell? Hell Motel? Is that intentional?" She contemplated is she switched off the cars engine, gently tugged her key out and opened the car door.  Almost instantaneously she was hit by the smell of lemons and petrol...a surprisingly nice combination.

Lilah carefully stepped fully out, a gentle crunch of sun scorched grass crackling under her well worn out boots welcoming her to whatever this place was. Closing the drivers side door, she walked towards the rear and opened the door to the back seats. It would be a nice change, not having to sleep there for a good few months if she was lucky. Hell, maybe the whole thing back home would blow over and she could return soon she fantasized as she pulled out two, relatively large, backpacksthat were near bursting point.

After closing, locking and checking the parking of her pride and joy, she stepped away from her only (sort of reliable) companion, and headed towards the main office building after slinging a bag over each of her shoulders.

It took less than a few seconds for her to be face to face with the manager of the place, and nothing on this Earth, nothing she had seen in all her hours of travelling, could prepare her for such a sight. Whether that sight was awe inspiring or terrifying, she didn't yet know.

Imelda's POV

There she stood. The answer to her prayers. She couldn't have looked much older than 20, her youth was obvious by her delicate skin that still shone as if she was a newly born babe. Her eyes were an enticing hazelnut brown, peppered with golden flecks that made them hypnotic.

Her posture was not that great, but who cares? She wasn't going to be focused on that anyways. The girl who stood before her, unknowingly had a big task ahead of her.

"Name?" She inquired, she already knew what her name was after Eira had told her all about this encounter. But for the sake of remaining 'innocent' for now, she played along.

not surprisingly, the girl hesitated quite a while before replying. Even Imelda herself could tell she was being blatant about staring at her most prominent feature. Well, features. Adorned with gold clasps, Imelda knew the girl was staring at her horns. A million questions we're probably floating around her mortal mind, questions she would soon earn the rights to ask. Other than her horns, nothing would be out of the ordinary -she hoped. She had forced green contact lenses into her eyes in  feeble attempt to hide their amber glow...and it was sort of working.

Hurry up my dear girl, I have got things to do" she prompted softly yet sternly, offering a gentle smile to try and show her that there was nothing to be scared of. Yet. "My...my name is Lilah...Lilah Smith" the female managed to say after a few tense and awkward moments of silence. "Well, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. Miss Smith." She bowed her head briefly in a respectful greeting, before raising it once more and unlocking the office door, beckoning for her to come inside. "I am delighted that you have made the effort to travel so far and work with us" She declared after the girl had stepped into the office

"Now, let me go over everything you must know..." she spoke over her shoulder as she dragged out a dust coated book and handed it to the girl, who's wrinkled nose was enough to bring a bright smile to Imelda's rose pink lips "It will only take a few minutes to read, I promise I'm not going to bore you"

"Trust me on that one." Whispered her mind, but she bit her tongue...quite literally.
