10 Chapter Nine

3 months passed since Athena spread the news of her pregnancy. Renji visited often to check up on the mum to be. Uta made sure she was okay and didn't need anything all the time. Touka visited and told her about an urgent meeting on Saturday. During the week Athena helped out where she could but Uta being protective told her to just relax his got it. Finally the day of the meeting arrived.

When Athena awoke Uta was no where to be found. When he did come back he told her to get ready so they can go. Now standing in front of Renji's door she knocked lightly.

"Wait kitten~"

Uta covered her eyes with a blindfold. He then opened the door and helped her walk to the lounge. He then removed the blindfold and flicked on the light.

"Suprise!"

Everyone jumped up and shouted. They threw a baby shower for her. Renji wore a tux for once, Touka held a cake that read 'to the mum to be' and the others smiled.

"Aw guys~"

"Oh no kitten don't cry~"

"Sorry its just such a touchy moment~"

Athena said with tears in her eyes. Uta hugged her and smiled knowing him and Renji made a good choice. The girls played mini games well the men spoke about whatever men speak about at these things. (😂) Then she opened up presents. She got a few baby clothes, bibs, nappies, soaps and shampoos, towels, bedding, a pram and a cot.

"Thank you guys~"

She started crying again. They had cake and spoke about what they ganna do and what they hoping it is. They made jokes and shared stories. Renji cried when he heard he was ganna be the God Father. Touka teased Uta saying he went in too deep. It was just such an amazing day. Uta helped her carry the thing out the car into their little home. She was happy that she can finally be a mum. Hopefully a better one then hers was. Uta couldn't stop smiling as he watched her rub her belly.

"Your so beautiful kitten~"

Athena smiled and kissed Uta's lips. It was quite late already so they decided to go to bed.

Athena shot up. Something was wrong. There was wetness by her leg and it can't be her water since she was only 3 month along. Scared she tapped Uta to try and wake him up. After a few attempts Uta finally woke up.

"U-uta I th-think something is w-wrong with the ba-"

Athena couldn't hold it anymore. She burst into tears scared of what is going on. Uta jumped up and pulled the covers off her. Shock was written all over his face. The bed was covered in blood. Stopping Athena from looking down. He cupped her cheeks.

"Get up where going to the hospital."

Not giving her a chance to look he picked her up and covered her up with the blanked so she doesn't see. He didn't want her to worry becuase if the baby was still okay then it will definitely effect the baby too. He put her in the car and fastens her seat belt. Rushing through red lights and traffic they stopped infront of the hospital. He quickly picked her up and ran into the hospital shouting. Nurses ran over and laid Athena onto a bed and took her to the emergency room.

Uta passed back and forth waiting for the doctor to come tell him what the fuck was going on. When the door opened behind him revealing Athena he stopped. Her eyes were red from crying, she looked heartbroken. Uta walked closer and she stepped back cuasing Uta to stop.

"Uta..."

A tear slipped down her cheek. Uta stumbled back as he knew whats coming.

"The baby...-"

She fell to the floor sobbing uncontrollably. Uta fell onto the nears seat and stared down at the floor shock visible on his face. They sat there in silence as Athena sobbed uncontrollably and Uta looked at her sorry state. He rushed over to her pulling her into a tight hug. Now he was sobbing just as hard. His heart ached just as much as hers. Touka and Renji walked through the door and when they saw the state of the happy couple they knew...
