16 Chapter Fifteen

Athena hasn't been feeling well lately so Uta decided to take her to the doctor who treats ghouls may I add. He asked her for a urine sample and took some blood for testing. He prescribed her some medicine for the mean time till they get the results back. The doctor also said she must take it easy just in case its something bad in which Uta is making sure she is doing.

"Kitten just sit down please, I'll do the dishes."

"Uta calm down I'm not broken so let me do something on my own."

" But the doc-"

"Screw the doctor. I'm fine and I can handle doing the dishes."

Uta surrender. He knew he can't win against a stubborn ghoul like her. That's one of the reason why he fell for her in the first place. Its been a week since the doctor appointment but they received no calls yet. They both started to worry that it could be something huge. Just as they were about to go to bed the phone rang. Uta rushed to pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Uta is that you?"

"Yes doc it is, any news?"

"I need you and your wife to come see me tomorrow."

"Okay well be there by 10.30."

He hanged the phone up a worried expression on his face. Athena walked up to him and smiled gentle.

"I'm sure everything will be okay. Come lets go to bed."

He looked down at her and kissed her forehead. He knew she was right but he just couldn't help but think of the worried tone the doc had. Was she really ganna be okay? Uta barly slept that night.

The next morning they got up early and got ready to leave. They arrived at the doctors office and waited patiently when he finally let them in. He spoke to them about the result he had received. This made Uta and Athena both uneasy and scared. They were terrified. The doctor told her to be careful and rather stop from doing any ghoul activities for a while since it might put her health in danger.

The drive home was quiet and filled with unanswered questions.

What now? What are they ganna do now? Do they tell the others? Do they get rid of it? Are they ready to face it again? Will it be a blessing or a curse?

Will it break them once more?

Athena took a a bath and thought about what the doctor said. She wasn't sure on how to feel about this. In honesty she was terrified.

Uta laid in bed thinking of what he was told. He was scared of going through that pain again. He was scared that maybe this time he won't be able to save his wife and that he will be a failure once again.

Before they went to sleep they both stared at the mask on the wall. They were terrified that maybe their ganna have to add another mask there...
