Volume 1: Flight . Chapter 2: Excalibur

"Welcome students to Excalibur high where our beliefs rise with our virtues and ambitions, I am your school headmaster, and you can know me as Algore Von Princeton as you know only the prestige brave and truest of hearts can attend our fine academy and we take great pride in our staff and students now  then as per tradition the annual VI games will take place the coming month from now then I wish you all a good school year and good luck."

" thank you principal for your most inspiring words, Hello students I am the headmistress Emilia Eve Princeton, I will be in charge of you all for the next 5 years, I hope to see how you all thrive in the coming years at Excalibur high of magic; if you need anything please just ask, and I will do my best, now then students if you would  please make your way to the main hall where you will be tested and provided  your schedule."

"Right," Icarus whispers softly, voice and mind never wavering as he looks at his tightened fist.

"Yo-Yo Yo!!! Kamil my man!" a dark tan-skinned boy around Icarus's age with black Locs held into a mid-length ponytail by a bandana shouts as he walks out of the crowd. 

"SIMON!!" he almost howls excitement explodes from Icarus as he runs towards his childhood friend punching each other in the chest simultaneously.

"Bro why didn't you tell me you were coming back from america!?."

"O how I weep for you milord may I humbly ask for your benevolence and forgiveness" Simon sarcastically remarks a smirk on his face as he playfully bows causing Icarus's eyebrow to twitch in slight annoyance. 

"Pfft" the temporary silence becomes broken, ending both in a fit of hysterical  laughter as it soon calms down.

"Man whatever" Icarus sighs a joyful grin never leaving his face. 

"Sooo~... where's ya little girlfriend," Simon says suggestively elbow nudging Icarus in the side. 

" What I don't have a girlfriend?" icarus says feeling confused. 

"Sigh… dude I haven't seen you in so long, and you're still as clueless as ever geez Kamil I'm talking about Freya."

"...Freya?" Icarus  blushes a rose color starts to tents his cheeks as the realization of what Simon had implied 

"Bro Freya and I aren't dating" Icarus grumbles.

"What!? Why not?!" Simon cries out in disbelief.

" HUH? What'd ya mean, why not?! she's literally like a sister to me!" Icarus Cringes. 

"Ain't no way! Kamil, are you seriously telling me throughout the 10 years I have known you both, not a single time you didn't find her attractive?" Feeling slightly dumbfounded.

" No. Now we're ending this conversation, it's weird" Icarus declares firmly.

"Sigh ok ok."
