48 Prison Magic.
He couldn't move the monster using a transport magic. He knew too little about it's abilities to take such risk.
The creature was clearly a magical being. Some kind of darkness embodiment. Konrad Could think about only two other instances in which he felt similar energy.
One of them was the Black Shark that 'guarded' the Stele, while the other...Was his first and only attempt at casting shadow/darkness magic. It felt just...wrong.
Obviously Konrad made the connection about the creatures origin. They weren't natural. Someone or something probably created them and kept a connection between them that was broken for an unknown reason. At least that's what he could figure out from the shark's description.
With those thoughts, it wasn't surprising that Konrad wanted to learn more.

That... didn't give him much... but it confirmed his previous assumptions. It was his own Mana that attracted the creature and it was indeed disconnected from something... But what was this 'something'? He had no idea, but he felt like he didn't want to find out...
No further knowledge about the race or the abilities...guess he'd have to figure it out in a more personal manner.

Konrad was writing in his research notes with an excited expression.
"The specimen possess highly regenerative abilities that depend on the amount of Mana it collected. It has a independent storage for ambient magic, separate from its personal Miasmatic Mana. According to my Mana Sense, the stored Ambient magic is used to recover the energy that from this moment shall be called Miasma. The name fits just right...
There appears to be no apparent usage of normal Mana other than to recover The Miasma. The Dark magic seems to be the only energy actively used in regeneration and spells, practiced by the specimen.
This creates the process that I will label from now on as 'Magical Corruption'.
Further research required in order to assess l the purification possibility and the possible need of such.
The frozen specimen appears conscious but unable to move. It's heavily wounded body was cauterized with the ice though, confirming the hypothesis that it's at least resistant to ice, if not outright benefits from it. The possibility of it's natural environment being in cold climates is high, yet contradicted by the appearance of The Shark specimen in Greece.
The continuous absorption of ambient Mana was confirmed even when the specimen was encased in ice. The regeneration progressed even against the cold prison, forcing me to regularly wound the bound creature to stop it from retaliation.
Weakness to Fire magic was confirmed. It's not as good as light magic that appears to be the creatures natural enemy, but it does it's work properly.
The continuous regeneration of the specimen brought me to the idea of Magic Disconnection. With my profound Mana Control and the additional bonus of Magic Affinity, it shouldn't be impossible to force the Ambient Mana away from the creature..."
Konrad continued his research while writing down his discoveries. He was so engrossed in this endeavor that he didn't realize when two hours already passed and he would have to leave soon. It was at moments like this that Konrad was thankful for having a 'Timeless Secret Lair'...
After confirming that it was possible to push the ambient Mana from the Creature's surroundings, Konrad took out the Transport Formation and went to the Gacha Space.
He needed to make a custom prison formation and it would take him a while...

A week! He had to spend a week to make this, But it was finally done!
With him, having to create a completely new concept of magic effect, while combining it with a variation of mind gravity and ice magic, A small gem to store more Mana in the middle, it was no wonder it took so long but he still sighed in annoyance. It was really weird when Octavia wasn't around him for such an extended period of time...
Konrad looked at the formation he made from concrete and blood, just like his transport formations. Even though he would prefer to finally have Octavia transfigure magical metals, she was still not proficient enough and she wasn't there anyway so he did the usual. He was really glad for figuring out a 'Drying' Spell a few weeks ago, when his old laziness made itself known. It was quiet a simple mix of Water fire and air magic really. That it could probably mummify people, was of no concern to him...

The formation was done, so Konrad finally left the Gacha space and approached his 'Experimental Specimen'.
The formation landed on the ground before he moved the frozen Monster onto it.
Then it was time to power it! At first Konrad poured his own Mana into the disk, letting it start up properly so that the formation could work by itself.
As the runic matrix glowed with red light, Konrad could feel the Mana around him bending and transforming into a dome with no Mana inside.
The dome was bigger than the formation but the containment effects were only applied in the center above it where the Ice encased monster currently laid.
The irregular ice block slowly started morphing before forming a perfect sphere of clear ice that floated in the air so that it couldn't touch the formation itself.
Then the Other part of the formation knocked the monster out with a mind magic set to make it sleep. He will have to make this one into a spell later... And when all this was happening the entire ambient Mana that was pushed aside, would be attracted to the bottom of the formation to power it.
In the beginning Konrad worried that there wouldn't be enough Mana to power the formation, but thankfully, it was just enough to keep it working. He would have to perform his Mana training here at least once a month if he wanted to keep the Mana around on the required level but it would not be a problem obviously.
Just like this, Konrad created a formation that kept the creature frozen, asleep and Magicless while also keeping it under concealment... It was really a wonder how the Ambient Magic could keep it active but it was most likely his influence. He did after all continously expelled thousands of units of Mana in this area. It had to finally have some positive effect at some point instead of attracting weird shadow creatures...
After confirming that everything worked as it was supposed to be, Konrad gave it a wider look and suddenly stopped in his tracks.
He was looking at a huge floating sphere of ice with a weird creature stuck inside of it, while a mystical magic formation glowed under it...
"Damn...That looks cool...I did that? I did!... Damn I'm Cool! Hahaha!" Konrad was still laughing as he walked towards his house. He'd have to take Octavia here later.
If she doesn't beat him up for getting into trouble again, she might even appreciate how awesome his new creation turned out to be!
