Palace in the Desert
Starting from the center of the Array, Konrad created wide pathways in four cardinal directions. Changing sand into sandstone a dozens of meters deep into the ground and then hardening the surface into a flat comfortable walkway was first in his list of things to do. He was actually quiet surprised with how easy it was with the help of his new bracelet.
Konrad continued with his Earth Magic terraforming for a few days, until finally both the pathways and the fundaments were completed. The walkways were actually the easiest of the two. The problem came with the fundaments. Konrad had to compress the sand very deep into the ground to reach the rock bottom and make the fundaments very durable. Thankfully, the sand here was not as deep as the deepest recorded in Sahara but it was still over twenty meters deep. The only reasons why he was able to accomplish all that, was his extensive Mana Pool, his Regeneration and the help of his Bracelet. Without it, the time he would need to finish this entire area would extend at least by two times. And yes. The fundaments, as if the entire area of four kilometers in diameter. He just left a thin layer of sand where it was not the pathway because he was planing to build a garden here in the future.
As of this moment, this territory was the most stable place in the entire desert. If he were to build something here, then it wouldn't budge, no matter what weather attacks it and there was no chance of the sand under it to sink or slide as there was so sand under it to do so, just compressed sandstone.
"It feels like minecraft, don't you think Tavy?" Asked Konrad as the duo sat on one of the outer pillars taking a break. A wide smoothened area of desert stretched far in front of them.
*Pfft. Maybe a little... It lacks a little in the blockish department but overall the sentiment is similar Haha!* Octavia laughed making Konrad smile.
"Yeah well... We might as well change that, right?" Suddenly a grin appeared on his face as he jumped from the pillar and landed on the ground.
He quickly approached the end of the East pathway and looked at the smoothened area in front of him.
This was going to be the place for their first building and he already had a number of ideas of what it could be. He just needed to make a proper design scheme first. The only thing he now needed to check was whether it was possible to dig a basement using his Earth Magic and inventory. If what he had in mind was indeed possible, then all of this would really feel like minecraft...
Konrad approached the middle of the area and focused on his magic. Calling out the spell he designed to shape all earthly matter was the first in his repertoire. Then, when he finally achieved the desired shape and density, he would make sure that the fragment properly separated from the rest of the ground and floated in the air, by using his Mana Levitation. He wouldn't normally be able to control such a big and heavy object, but thanks to the Bracelet of Hecate, he somehow managed. In the end, When all those things were achieved, Konrad would just simply store the block of stone in his inventory.
"You can call me Steve now, Haha!" Konrad laughed in glee when his experiment turned out to be successful.
*Pfft. Alright 'Steve' Haha!* Octavia joined him in laughing.
"...haha, Alright, alright. Let's start then gathering the materials for our new house!" Said Konrad and Octavia nodded.

//Two months later//
"Huaaah! This...looks...awesome!!! It took us so much time but it was definitely worth it! Right Octavia?" Konrad exclaimed while looking at the fruit of their hard work.
*Certainly! I can't believe that just two months ago there was just an empty desert!* Replied Octavia who was currently in the form of a big hawk.
In those last two months, Octavia finally managed to regain control of her overactive transformation ability.
Konrad expected her to instantly learn how to change into whatever she wanted after the sudden boost to her stats, but that was not the case actually.
It was certainly many, many times easier for her to transform now, and her offensive usage of her slime became even faster and more deadly, but in order to transform into something like a cat or the hawk that she was currently impersonating, an extensive study into the species was required.
It was one thing to take shape and color of a hawk, but actually making the new form capable of flight was a completely different matter.
Octavia took it upon herself to master as many different forms as she could, which required of her to first study about their bodies.
Until now, she only managed to master the Cat form, as it was something she trained for a long time already. Now when it came to the hawk she was currently impersonating...She was halfway there.
Octavia was actually close to achieving the perfect body, but another problem occured in the shape of the reason why she chose this form. Flight! She wanted to be able to fly just like her Daddy but only after almost finishing the transformation into a hawk did she realize that she didn't even knew how to do that...She needed to learn from the basics!
When it came to Konrad, His stats didn't really change much compared to two months before. He continued his Mana Capacity excercise with the help of his Ring and Bracelet but the training stagnated once again at around 2900 points as his Regeneration once again caught up to his Mana Expulsion even though he had the help of his Bracelet. Most likely, it was because of his yet again doubled Mana Regeneration.
But there was one thing that improved quiet dramatically, and it was his Mana Control and spellcasting! It's easy to see why though, as most of the time In those last two months were spend on creating, transporting and sculpting giant blocks of stone, sometimes using even a few spells at the same time!
Somewhere halfway through, Konrad even took off The Bracelet of Hecate, confident in his ability and he wasn't disappointed with the results! Just a month of training led his own control to jump up to the level of his control while using a conductor from when he started building! This meant, that his efficiency without the Bracelet was now the same as a month ago with the Bracelet on his wrist!
Konrad was starting to suspect that his Mana Affinity Skill had something to do with that improvement but he couldn't be sure without any type of indicator...He really hoped that there's an actual system like skill in the Blood Lottery... or at least some type of expansion to Observe...
As he continued to run between the now quite substantial basement and the outside, Konrad got the hang of the Mana Sprint Skill. It was a very handy strengthening technique, and Konrad had a suspicion that it could be also applied to the other parts of his body, but that required a lot of training and precautions before he could even think about experimenting.
The continuous gathering of his blood and two trips to the Blood Donation Facility allowed Konrad to finish twenty more Pillars, leaving only forty more and easing on the amount of Mana he needed to supply every few days.
His family called him from time to time and Konrad praised himself for thinking about agreeing on a specific time beforehand.After all, he was yet to figure out how to bring the telecommunication network coverage and stuff like electricity and internet into the middle of the desert, so he had to teleport to the closest place with a signal before he could talk with anyone.
"To think that it was build by just a single person and a Slime... In your face Egyptians!" Shouted Konrad into the air while looking at their creation.
Where in the beginning there was nothing here but flattened sand and sandstone of the pathways, now beside the pathway a lush, green grass grew from the healthy earth that he brought here from some agricultural field in greece. Multiple magic formations that he installed into granite obelisk of his own making were spread all over the place, summoning water from the surroundings and stoping the vapor from escaping into the sky. He didn't want to exhaust all the underground water supply, and the small streams and water mist that could be seen forming around the Obelisks gave of a mystical feel to the place.
Here and there you could see saplings of exotic fruits that he obtained by different means. Be it simply from a store, by ordering online, or through cultivating from fruits in the store. He always dreamed to have his own fruit orchard and what better place to build one than in the hottest part of the world with an abundant access to water?
Obviously not all the trees could survive in a climate as hot as this, but there were ways to go around it like building a greenhouse or making an equivalent of one using magic Formations. That was his side project when he wasn't working on the Palace...Yes...Konrad made a freaking Palace!...
Well...Maybe not exactly a palace per say...but it was grand and pleasing to the eye while still being practical. It still needed a lot of of work to finish with the inner decor, but all in all, it was a finished product on the outside.
The duo stood near the center of the Big Concealment Array, admiring their grand Handywork.
There, at the end of the southern Pathway, stood a giant Palace that could easily pass as a brand new creation of the ancient Egyptians! The center building was actually made in the form of a pyramid, not as grand as the Great Pyramid, because Konrad didn't want to spend ten year on dragging rocks into place but it still reached around forty meters in height!
At the from of the Pyramidal building, facing Konrad was a grand entrance with Pillars And Obelisk standing on the sides with their surfaces still empty, awaiting for Konrad to give them a purpose other than just a decoration. The Pyramid was connected on the sides with two other buildings by curved walkways that had columns standing on the sides of them. The building were smaller but more elongated towards the center of his territory, creating a sudo-courtyard in front of the main entrance. The buildings themselves were made from Sandstone and granite covered with limestone to give it all a white coloration. He was really happy when, while digging for materials, Konrad found a layer of limestone under the sandstone that further covered the hard Granite. The white sedimentary rock was simply perfect for covering the surface of his creation!
Konrad tried to take all this sights in and he just couldn't contain his good mood. He made it all! And it was all his! His 'little', personal outpost of peace.
It was also quiet amusing for him to realize that there was just so much more he could do to this place! He must have awoken some kind of architect in himself. Or it's just the feeling of accomplishment...
Whatever the case though, It was time for the last part of their endeavor...
