Levitation and Gacha.
They stood yet again side in front of the Gacha Machine. Ten buckets of blood lined around the tank, waiting to be poured into the container.
"This is going to be a long ass day, isn't it?..." Muttered Konrad half excited and half mortified with the amount of time he would have to spend only on the segregation of the rewards. If he was some kind of Main Character in a novel, then the author would be probably puking out blood right about now, thinking about over a hundred different rewards to give Konrad...
*Daddy! Maybe you could try this new Magic you developed?* Proposed Octavia.
Even though they spend two weeks relaxing, that didn't stop Konrad from continuing his research albeit under a slower pace.
Recently he had a new idea that he very much wanted to try.
Since his Mana control was already on a quiet decent level of proficiency, He wondered if he could will it to do something without using spell formations. After all, he could cause it to move and shape whatever he wanted, then wasn't it possible to use this ability to affect something more than the Mana itself?
The idea was so simple that he was shocked to never think about it. It only occured to him when he started working on Purely Mana based spells like the Mana Shield.
It took him a week to imitate the spell with only using his Mana control but he did it! He created a Shield of pure Energy using solely his Mana control!
That lead him to the research That Octavia just mentioned. Telekinesis!...or more like, Mana based levitation but still... Telekinesis!
"I'm not sure Octavia...Im still not very good at it...what if i spill the blood?" He said worriedly.
*You'll be alright Daddy! You are the greatest Magic Caster in the world! There's no way for you to fail!* Said Octavia fully believing that her Daddy could do it.
"More like the only Magic Caster in the world but thanks, I'll try but if i fail, it's your fault Haha!" Konrad laughed and focused on the blood bucket closest to him.
He could feel the thick Mana in the surroundings and the dormant Mana that hid in his blood. it was that Mana which caused the blood to act as a conductor and Mana source...but that wasn't important now. Konrad stopped himself from being sidetracked and focused on his own Mana and the Mana around them. He willed his Mana to go out and mix with the one in the surroundings before wrapping around the bucket. Now was the hardest part...Causing the Mana to change its own properties and lift the bucket into the air. It required from Konrad his entire focus a lot of very fine control, but suddenly the bucket started to rise!
*It's working Daddy! I knew you could do it!* Exclaimed Octavia.
"Shh...let...me...focus..." Konrad said through gritted teeth.
Controlling the 10 litter bucket with Mana using only the strength of his will, was really not an easy matter. The stress from levitating a precious material was putting Konrad under additional pressure but he steeled himself and made the bucket slowly float forward.
He couldn't tell how much time passed with how focused he was, but with every second that passed, his levitation became better and more natural. It was somewhat...too fast actually... but Konrad didn't realize, too focused on his current activity. Unbeknownst to him, a certain skill called Mana Affinity, that he completely forgot about, was the one responsible for his quick improvement. The skill aided his comprehension and understanding of Mana Control which in his current situation was practically a godsend.

The blood poured into the tank in a steady stream from a floating bucket above it.
It was the ninth bucket and Konrad was already proficient enough to control the bucket and chat with Octavia. He finally realized that his control improved to fast for it to be normal, but the only reason he could think of was his Mana Affinity skill. But why it suddenly started working harder than before was a mystery for Konrad.
*Maybe it was because you were really determined and didn't want to spill your precious blood Daddy?* Octavia gave her idea as he was turning towards the last bucket.
Konrad scoffed and replied.
"What do you think? That I'm some kind of Main Character in a novel or something? Tavy please." He said and patted her slime before once again focusing on the last bucket that was already above the tank.
The blood poured into it, joining the remaining 90 liters that somehow fit into the tank that wasn't bigger than five of the ten-litter buckets...
It might have been some spatial magic or the blood simply poured somewhere further and what was left was just the interpretation of how much blood was inside the tank. Whatever the case, the blood finally reached the one hundred mark, and with that the entire tank was filled to the brim...
Konrad was always curious whether it was possible to use blood of animals in the Gacha lottery but when he finally tried it, it turned out that there were some restrictions... The blood couldn't be from an animal... at least not from the ones he tried, and it had to be fresh, poured into the tank at most one hour after being harvested. Of course, his inventory could go around this restriction, but it still didn't change the fact that only human blood worked with the tank to his understanding. He really wanted to check whether the blood of that Shadow Cat would made any difference but the cat was gone and he still didn't know how to track it down...
His eyes fell on the lever. Over one hundred rewards awaited him as soon as he or Octavia pull this lever down..
It was time...
