Surprisingly, the expected beating didn't come. Instead, there was a bit of shouting, then anger at herself that she wasn't there when needed, and finally sobbing that Konrad could have died.

Seeing Octavia in that state, made Konrad realize that not even an awesome floating ice ball could placate her raging emotions.

It wasn't his fault that this happened, but he made a mistake by being so far from Octavia in the first place. He knew how much she loved him because he loved her just as much. He needed to make a statement now.something that could ease up her worries by at least a little.Octavia was soon engulfed in a hug.

Lately, she decided to have a bit more of her still growing volume out, as a statement that she'd grown. That's why she was already bigger than a basketball. It was much easier to hug her in this state, and Konrad decided to exploit this at that moment thoroughly.

Her Jelly-like body was warm under his touch, lightly shuddering while crying out imaginative tears.

The more she shuddered, the more deformed she became as her body engulfed Konrad in a weird sort of a slime possessive hug.

"D-Daddy...Y-You could have been h-hurt... If something happened to you I-I...*

"Shhhh...baby, it's alright. I'm here and I'm not leaving you, ever!" Konrad whispered to the crying Slime, while continuously petting and caressing her, in order to ease her worries.

*B-But What if it's an accident like today?! If something goes wrong and...You...I-I wouldn't be able to survive that Daddy!... I-I'd break my nucleus just so i could be with you!* She suddenly exclaimed making Konrad horrified.

"Octavia! Don't ever say something like that! I won't let anything happen to you and if you even think about dying to chase me, then Please stop! I won't stand that! I'm not going to leave you! Understand? And you are not going to leave me either! From now on, we'll be always close to each other just like in the past. Is that clear?" Konrad said with a slight force in his voice.

He could see how Octavia suddenly looked towards him, even though she had no eyes. Her sobbing momentarily stopped as the feeling of warmness and love could suddenly be felt from her.

At that moment, Konrad felt that there was no person more important to him, not even his family. He raised her. Educated her. Cared for her. He would probably even die for her, but he knew that she would kill herself before he could do that.

Octavia finally nodded at his words making Konrad smile. She was finally calmed down, but she would still shudder or sob every now and then so he didn't let go of her.

"Sooo...You wanna see an awesome formation i made to seal that monster? You can even hit it a few times if you want to..." Said Konrad with a hint of mischievousness in his voice. As she was already mostly calm, he could call out to her researcher side.

Another few emotions could be felt among which the most pronounced were excitement and...grim satisfaction maybe?

*Yes Daddy! Let's go! I have a cat to beat up ehehe!* 'No one touches my Daddy and lives!' She thought with a dark 'expression' as she joe's from his chest and moved towards the doors.

Konrad shuddered for some reason, but he couldn't tell for what reason...

As it was already quiet late, Konrad had to give a good excuse to his mom about why he wanted to go out, but after his intelligence grew up by over two times the norm, it became very easy for him to..."outsmart" the others...

After Octavia decided to increase her size, her carrier became pretty much useless for her, so Konrad had to figure out something else.

In the end, it became simply Octavia carrying the Aura of ignorance formation inside of her body. As she was now bigger and the smallest formation he could make was around thirty centimeters in diameter using a wooden circular disk and his blood, Octavia could barely fit the formation disk inside of her body. Of course, it wasn't particularly comfortable for her, so she usually had her body form cylindrically to accommodate the foreign object at the top, but int the end she looked quiet silly so she would just keep it atop of her body and only take it in when she had to move faster.

It was also a part of her metal control training.

The formation acted as an example that she used to take the pattern from when she trained her ability to make object out of the metals she absorbed. She was trying to recreate the Amulet Of Phobos in the beginning, but as it was much too complicated, she decided to move onto a simpler example.

They finally arrived in the clearing that Konrad used for his Mana training. Only now, after comparing his house and this place, did Konrad realize, how much greater the density of Mana in the surroundings was here in comparison to everywhere else. It was no wonder that the creature was attracted to it.

Octavia was moving faster now and Konrad decided to catch up to her before she did something stupid.

They soon arrived in the center where the Ice sphere floated peacefully in the air. The formation under it shined incessantly, illuminating the ice above it and making the monster clearly visible in the process.

Nothing seemed out of ordinary thankfully, so Konrad breathed out the air that he didn't even realize to be holding.

The Ambient Mana Repelling Dome was working as intended and the magic holding the sphere in place was clearly impossible to be absorbed by the creature, according to the Observe and his Mana perception. It apparently couldn't absorb Mana if it was being actively used in casting magic.

Konrad looked at his little familiar and asked.

"What do you want to do first Tavy?"

Octavia continued to look at the sphere while replying in a somehow to eager voice.

"What about dissection Daddy? I want to see what it has inside... preferably by myself..."

Konrad could have sworn that there was something disturbing in that statement but he let it slide. It was his dear Octavia so it was clearly an innocent statement of a fellow researcher.

"Well, we can do that I guess...There's still an hour until sundown and i still have this small bunch of light orb formations in my inventory so we wouldn't be working in darkness." He replied and the duo went to work.
