A fourth member of the family.

Konrad felt the clear happiness that emanated from the link that formed between him and the Sword. But to think that a Sentient Weapon would be classified as a familiar instead of equipment! Who could have expected that...

'Someone seems happy.' He thought, and just like he expected, Laverien responded with a feeling conveying an excited agreement.

*Daddy! Wha- I can feel it too! What's going on?* Suddenly he heard Octavia exclaiming through their bond. It surprised him too.

'You can also feel it? Interesting. It's probably because you are both my familiars now.' He responded through their bond.

≈Umm...Guys? could you let me into your conversation? I can't exactly hear your thoughts and you were staring between each other for the last two minutes...≈ Miastiti said awkwardly.

Konrad instantly realized their mistake so he replied out loud.

"Oh sorry... I was just surprised. It seems like Laverien here is now also my Familiar just like Octavia, and we could both hear it's emotions. It doesn't seem to be able to speak yet though." He explained, showing her the Sword that suddenly jerked from his hand and started to fly around Miastiti giving her and everyone quiet a scare.

Thankfully, it didn't seem to have any I'll intention, and as it turned out the Sword was actually quiet playful! It poked Octavia with it's handle as if it tried to tickle her but it was also careful not to break or cut anything. Konrad had to admit that he expected much more clumsiness from it, seeing as it was 'born' only a few minutes ago...

He watched as Laverien continued to poke Mia with it's handle playfully, and he could feel a childish amusement coming from the other side of the bond. That Mia continued to giggle uncontrollably, was one of the reasons why he didn't stop that farce immediately. He didn't want to stop that smile... Of course he would need to make sure that the Sword doesn't go overboard but he already knew that it would be yet another indispensable yet abnormal member of their little family...

"Alright Laverien, give Mia some space." He said with amusement and the Sword seemed to understand what he meant as it soared back into his outstretched hand. He could feel the amusement of the Sword clear as day.

'A playful Holy Sword that likes to tickle people... What else now? A snake girl with Daddy issues? Haha! That would be interesting' He thought while looking at the sword.

"So...What so we do now? I believe testing this beauty is in order, right? Or should I work on the scabbard?" He asked his girls, and Octavia replied.

*Yes! Let's go break something!* She exclaimed and both Konrad and Mia laughed.

≈I agree with Tavy. Let's see what it...he...she can do...Right...What gender is it?" Asked Mia curious whether a weapon would actually have one.

That stumped Konrad, so he looked at Laverien and asked.

"So...are you a boy?" He instantly felt a reply emotion that seemed...negative?

"...A girl?" He then asked, and instantly the sword became happy. Konrad was surprised with such a clear answer. But now he felt quiet awkward. Why was he surrounded by girls from all sides?!

"I see, so that's settled then. Mia. This here is Laverien and she is very happy to meet you." He said, and the weapon once again flew up and started to bow. But as it was a sword, the sight was somehow intimidating...

:Ehh...And I just finished raising Octavia...' He thought with amusement. Now he had a magical, floating, Holy Weapon, to teach some restrains and proper manners...It was going to be a really interesting time...

*BOOM!!!*

A granite pilar turned into cleanly cut ruble and scattered over the sand with an audible sound as Konrad started to slice it with Laverien.

The blade cut cleanly through the stone as if it was butter...

Then, he rebuild it using magic, only to continue cutting it and making it fall on the ground again.

"This is awesome! Laverien, you are really really powerful!" He exclaimed glancing at the sword in his hand. The sword appreciated the praise but it seemed like it also wanted to try.

Konrad shrugged when he understood it's intent, so he recreated the stone pilar and let go of the Weapon which lunged towards the rock.

As soon as the sword left his hand, the feeling of his will and sword mastery being amplified slightly lessened. It was still there thanks to the familiar bond between them, but it was at it's strongest when he held Laverien directly.

As he was thinking about those passive boosts he received, Laverien enjoyed cutting multiple stone pillars that Konrad started to create for it.

It was clear that most blades would be just sliced through, so he would probably use her as a final measure instead of his main weapon. Where would be the fun in beating his enemies in a single punch after all?

He sighed and wondered whether he should start working on figuring out those Other World Transmigration Prize Orbs he possessed. There was nothing interesting in this world with no Magic, and there was only so many ancient princesses stuck in magical formations to find here...

Before he realized, Laverien returned to him clearly expecting a praise.

Konrad looked around and confirmed that all the pillars were destroyed. He smiled and praised his Sword. However weird it sounds... And told her to follow him back inside the palace.

*That was great Daddy!* Konrad heard Octavia shouting from not far away.

Suddenly he was caught in an embrace of a pretty black haired missile. Mia kissed him quickly and said-

≈You were awesome Konrad! I-I couldn't take my eyes away from you.≈ She added with a blush, and Konrad started to wonder whether she gets turned on by powerful people...

Suddenly, she was tickled by Laverien, and Konrad felt a tinge of annoyance through the bond.

≈Ah! Sorry Laverie. You were awesome too.≈ Said quickly Mia through her giggles, placating the Sentient Weapon.

"Laverie?" Asked Konrad hearing the new nickname.

≈Yeah. It's easier to pronounce and It sounds better for a girl.≈ She said with a smile.

Konrad looked at The floating Sword and asked.

"What do you think? It's not that big of a change."

The Sword seemed to think for a second before sending a happy feeling towards him.

"Seems like she likes it. Laverie it is from now on."He proclaimed, and the newly renamed Sword spun in the air happily.

A quick check with Observe showed that her name really changed so it wasn't just a nickname now.

| Description - A Sentient Weapon Reforged by Konrad Caster from a fragment of the Forgotten Sword Laverien with the use of large amounts of finest and Highest Grade materials. The Sword greatly surpasses the Power of the original. Because of the usage of highly compressed and highly Mana infused Adamantite, she is practically indestructible, and because of her being an artificially Mana born entity, Laverie is also immortal.

Laverie is capable of wielding Magic by herself, and because of the usage of highly Mana Conductive materials in its creation, the Skill Mana Affinity could be also created.

The sword is bonded to her creator Konrad Caster through a Willing Familiar Bond, and she is currently very happy.

There was also a few new informations like her gender, class and owner. Also her Intelligence improved by a whooping three points after they bonded! That was a surprising but welcome improvement.

When it came to how strong she was...well...that's hard to tell actually. She is indestructible and can cut through nearly anything but that's pretty much all there is to it until she learns to use Magic.

At the moment, both Konrad and Octavia would win in a direct confrontation against the Sword as Octavia could just trap her inside of her body with no bigger worry about being cut, while Konrad could use basically any kind of magic to bound her in place. What's the use of being able to cut anything when you can't move to do just that.

That's why he wasn't going to let Laverie fight by herself against enemies like mages before she could properly protect herself. Thankfully nothing like this was really going to happen any time soon...

The trio plus Sword, spend the rest of the day working on a scabbard that was comfortable for Laverie. She was surprisingly picky when it came to scabbards and wasn't really into sitting inside of one, but she needed to have one if they were ever going to take her outside.

Konrad planed to engrave concealment formations into the scabbard at some point, but he was yet to figure out how to form formations on irregular surfaces. Thankfully, he had with himself someone who actually studied magic under a teacher, and an old sarcophagus covered in Egyptian runes, which both should shed some light onto the problem.

But for now...it was time to sleep!

He said goodnight to Octavia and gave Mia a chaste goodnight kiss which she happily returned, before going towards his bedroom with Laverie floating beside him.

He didn't realize that a small cat followed him into the room.

In her bedroom Miastiti laid on her bed looking at the ceiling with a slight smile on her face.

≈Good luck...Tavi...≈ She whispered before falling asleep...But soon her eyes snapped open.≈...I can't take it anymore...I need to see that!≈ She muttered and left her room.
