CHAPTER ONE

I watched as the woman, in front of me, struggled to get her phone. I walked behind her. The thoughts of her close to my man flashed before me, which made me enraged. 

She crawled slowly to the kitchen. Her hair tangled, her clothes soaked with blood... her blood. 

She tried to reach for her phone, on the kitchen counter, but it was to no use. Without thinking, I hit her one last time with the hammer I was holding.

I know that was brutal, but if you know what she had done to me, you might rethink it.

By the way, let me introduce myself. I am Elizabeth, but most people call me Lizzy. 

I was known to be a quiet, reserved, and gentle girl. I was the good, perfect girl. I was good academically, always in the top 2% of my class. Nobody cared to know how I was doing. They thought by my personality, I was doing well.

On the other hand, my two siblings, unlike me, were outgoing and bubbly. They had a lot of friends, even if most of them were fake. I was loved by a lot of people, except my siblings. I guess they were jealous.

Things were perfectly normal until I got into university. I got admission to study law at the University of Pennsylvania. I had new friends, which helped me to come out of my shell a little.

My roommate, Carrie, was my best friend. She was a bubbly girl. She had fair skin and long brown hair. She was funny. She never failed to make me laugh. She was such a pure-looking girl, but behind the scenes, she was not as innocent as everyone thought. 

Carrie had a boyfriend, Xavier, he was a nice guy. Though he was a little reserved, he was nice to talk to. He had a friend also. He and his friend, along with me and my roommate formed a friendship group.
