Chapter 9

**Nurse's Office 1 p.m.

"Is he gonna be okay?" I asked as Nurse Olola placed Elyk in a bed.

"Once I give him the potion." She remarked as she pulled out a small glass bottle filled with murky green liquid.

"That looks dangerous." I gulped and gently squeezed Elyk's hand.

"Trust me honey, it's perfectly safe. Now be a dear and place him in a sitting position and gently tilt his head back." I got onto the bed and did what Nurse Olola instructed. "Good." Nurse Olola uncapped the bottle and a sweet smell escaped. "Now open his mouth." I placed my fingers in Elyk's mouth and pried it open. "Perfect." Nurse Olola poured the entire bottle down Elyk's throat, then recapped the top. "The potion will take effect immediately, but he won't be completely healed for another eight hours."

I silently laid Elyk back down then turned to face Nurse Olola. "I want to stay here with him." I laced my fingers with Elyk's limp ones.

Nurse Olola opened her mouth in protest, but she just as quickly closed it and smiled. "I understand sweetie, I'll call your mother and let her know." She winked before pulling the curtains around Elyk's bed closed.

I sighed deeply before laying next to Elyk. "I'm so sorry Elyk. This is all my fault." I sniffed as tears began streaming down my cheeks. "If-if I h-had only been strong enough to stop you and Zev, you wouldn't be hurt." The tears fell harder as I curled against Elyk's motionless body. "I-I c-couldn't pr-protect you. I'm so sorry." I grasped Elyk's shirt in my hands. "I-if only I wa-was str-stronger." A strangled scream escaped my mouth as I cried harder. "I love you so much. I'm sorry." I mumbled I'm sorry over and over as I cried. My began having chest pains from how hard I as crying, but the tears wouldn't stop falling. It was all my fault that Elyk was hurt.

An hour had gone by before I finally calmed down. I placed Elyk's arm around my shoulders and curled against his body. "I swear, I will never let you get hurt again." I mumbled as my eyes began closing and opening. "I swear it." My eyes fell shut and I slipped into blissful darkness.

An passed by before I started waking up. I was still curled against Elyk, but his arm was holding onto me tightly and a small smile was on his lips. I smiled gently. 'He must've woken up while I was sleeping.' I kissed Elyk's cheek before gently taking his arm off of me. "Be right back." I whispered as I got off the bed and made my way to the bathroom. I silently shut the door behind me and flicked the light on. I took deep, calming breaths before walking over to the sink. I plugged the drain hole, turned the cold water on, then waited for the sink to fill up before washing my face. I turned the faucet off, drained the sink, then dried my face. Once my face was dried I stared at my reflection, the face that started back at me began shaking and shimmering until I was looking at Nulil.

"What the hell." I gasped as I rubbed my eyes.

"Yes Lilun, you're really looking at me." Nulil sighed.

"What the hell is going on?" I snapped quietly in fear that Nurse Olola would hear me.

"I thought I'd have some fun." Nulil grinned wickedly.

"Go away Nulil." I hissed.

"Aww, does someone have their big girl panties in a bunch?" She mockingly cooed before laughing evilly.

"Shut up and go away!" My voice rose slightly and my hands grasped the edge of the sink. My body began trembling. I hated Nulil, so much that my own inner darkness was coming out.

"Aww. Is wittle Lilun angry?" Nulil cooed with a smirk.

I grinned me teeth together in anger and gripped the sink tighter. "Just go away Nulil or I…"

"You'll what? Go cry to Elyk?" She raised her eyebrows and laughed.

"I'll transfer my pain to you." I snapped and glared at Nulil.

"You wouldn't dare." Nulil growled while fear appeared in her eyes.

I simply smirked before taking my left hand middle finger and snapping it out of place. I winced at the slight pain I was feeling but Nulil began screaming. "How the fuck did you learn how to transfer pain!" She screamed and held the broken finger on her hand.

"I realized that you feel any pain I feel, so long as I imagined the pain going to you."

"You bitch! I'm going to kill you in your sleep." She growled deeply, baring her sharp teeth.

"I want you to give me complete control of the black magic." I demanded.

"You so fucking wish." She hissed. I glared at her before snapping my middle finger back into place. Nulil screamed again, louder then before, and grasped her hand tightly.

"Will you do what I demand?"

Nulil growled again and spit at the mirror. "Fuck off you bitch."

"Have it your way." I chuckled darkly before snapping my pointer finger and middle finger out and into place repeatedly. Nulil let out a blood curdling scream as tears began streaming down her face.

"Okay okay, I'll give you complete control of the dark magic, just fucking stop." She panted.

"Good." I dropped my left hand and shook it. "Now I'll lock you up."

Nulil gasped and began punching the mirror. "Don't you dare lock me up!"

"Invoco vires decorum (I call upon the power of the Gods)…" I held my arms out and raised my head to the heavens.

"No! Stop!" Nulil began banging on the glass harder.

"Petitionem meam audi! Relegant hoc malum! Relegant eius angulos ad ipsum mentis meae(Hear my plea! Banish this evil being! Banish her to the very corners of my mind).."

"NO!" Nulil began shaking violently as a bright light slowly started engulfing her. "Don't do this Lilun! I beg of you!"

I ignored Nulil and continued the prayer. "Obfirmo ejus in speculo. Et custodiant eam in secula seculorum. (Lock her in a mirror. And keep her there for all eternity)."

Nulil let out a blood curdling scream as the bright light completely engulfed her. "I will get you back for this!" Nulil yelled out as the bright light exploded. My knees began shaking violently afterwards, I collapsed to the floor. My left hand throbbed painfully, and I had a headache . "Fuck. I used a lot of energy." I groaned as I slowly rose to my feet, clutching my still throbbing hand. My headache was beginning to recede and I could sense the unison of the black and white magic. "Now, it might be easier to beat Lucifer." I grimaced as my hand throbbed again. "I hope Nurse Olola can do something about my hand." I grimaced before leaving the bathroom.

"Need something for that hand dear?"

I jumped and spun around to face Nurse Olola, who as standing next to the bathroom door, a small light blue potion in hand. "How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough to know that you conquered the ''dark side'' so to speak. Now come over here and let me see that hand of yours."

"Oh, thank you." I smiled as I walked over to Nurse Olola , presenting her my bruised hand.

"Oh my, taking over the dark side is painful." She tsked and uncorked the bottle, the sweet smell of flowers wafted out. She grabbed a cloth and poured some of the liquid onto it. "This may sting just a bit." She gently took my hand and drabbed the cloth all over it.

"Crap." I winced as the liquid soaked into my skin. "That hurts like hell." I grasped my hand tightly. "But the pain is starting to go away," I let go of my hand and studied it, " and the bruises are gone."

"Now go lay down with your man. I'm sure he misses you." Nurse Olola smiled before walking to her office.

I smiled from ear to ear before walking back to Elyk's bed. Elyk mumbled gently as I laid down next to him, as well as putting his arm around me "Hey I'm back." I whispered/smiled and kissed his cheek. A small smile appeared on Elyk's lips and his arm tightened around me. "When all this is over, I'm going to make you some bacon." I nuzzled his neck. "Just a few more hours and you'll be all better." I sighed gently before drifting off to sleep.

"Is Elyk okay…"

"How's Lilun doing…"

"Both are fine…"

I groaned quietly as Blaise's, Damien's, and Nurse Olola's hushed voices pulled me out of dream world. I gently took Elyk's arm off my shoulders and slowly got out of the bed.

"Will they be okay?" Blaise asked hastily while I yawned gently and stretched before pulling the curtains aside.

"I feel pretty okay." I smiled, my arms wide open.

"Lilun." Blaise and Damien hugged me tightly, practically smothering me with their love.

"Don't squish me to death." I chuckled. Blaise and Damien slightly loosened the hug.

"When we heard about the fight between Zev and Elyk, we blamed ourselves." Blaise sniffed as she pulled away.

"Why?" I blinked in surprise as I looked at them both.

"Because we didn't try hard enough to protect you." Damien smiled sadly.

"Who told you guys about the fight anyway?"

"Nurse Olola." They said in unison and pointed at the guilty Nurse, who was halfway across the room.

"Did she tell you anything else?" I grew extremely nervous. No one but Funo knew about Nulil, and I planned on keeping it that way.

"Only that you hurt hand trying to stop the fight." Blaise gently grabbed my left hand. "Our poor Lilun and Elyk." Blaise sniffed again, tears began slowly streaming down her face.

"Oh, please don't cry." I pulled Blaise into a hug. "We're okay, Nurse Olola took great care of us."

Blaise sniffed again. "I know, I just wish I could've protected you guys." She whipped her eyes and broke the hug.

"But at least you safe." Damien chipped in as he wrapped his arm around Blaise's shoulder.

"Right." Blaise rested her head on Damien's shoulder. "How much longer is Elyk going to be asleep?"

"I'm up." Elyk groaned and rose into a sitting position.

"Elyk!" We all rushed to his side and I pulled him into a hug.

"I'm so sorry." I cried as I hugged him tighter.

"It's okay you dork. I'm fine." Elyk pulled me off of him. "I wanted to protect you." He kissed me and pulled me into a hug.

"Aww, how sweet." Blaise sighed and patted my back. "Seeing as you guys are okay we're going to go get some food."

"Food?" Mine and Elyk's eyes lit up and we broke out hug to stare at Blaise and Damien.

"Yup. What do you guys want?" Damien chuckled.

"Bacon and soda!" Elyk started bouncing up and down.

"I want fries and a sirloin steak burger with cheese and a vanilla milk shake!" I smiled from ear to ear.

"Okay. Be right back." Blaise ruffled our hair before leaving, her fingers laced with Damien's.

"Come here you." Elyk pulled me against his chest and started kissing my cheek.

"You dork." I laughed and turned around, kissing Elyk as I did. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Elyk nodded his head on kissed me again. "Positive."

I cuddled against him, sighing in happiness. "Good."

Elyk and I stayed in the position until Blaise and Damien came back thirty minutes later.

"We bring nourishment!" Blaise cheered and present me and Elyk with our individual take-out boxes from Lucky Restaurant. Damien handed us our drinks, a smile on his lips.

"Enjoy you guys." He also had a plastic bag in his hand, which he handed to Blaise. "This is ours."

Blaise smiled and kissed Damien's cheek before pulling the bedside table closer to the two of them. "Let's dig in!" The entire grouped whooped, thanked the great gods of food for the meal, then dug in.

**8 p.m., Nurse's Office.

"Bye Elyk. Bye Lilun." Damien and Blaise called out as they left.

"Bye." Elyk and I called out before the door shut behind them. I laid next to Elyk, snuggling his side.

"Thank you." I mumbled and kisses his cheek. Elyk just smiled and kissed me back.

"Get some sleep." He kissed my forehead and closed his eyes. Elyk soon fell asleep, and I soon fell asleep as well.
