1 Just a normal day

I just came home from school and my days been pretty good so far, my mom said I could have a sleepover with my friends. I'm so excited! Anyways, I call my friends, Lily and Kate to see if they can come. They said that they will arrive in about 5 minutes. After I set the phone down I wait....and wait...Finally there's a knock on the door. I open the door to find a tall man, dressed in black. He shoves me out of the way and steps into my house! "What the heck?!" He glances over at me and in his dark voice he asks me "Where's your mother?.."I back up slowly, holding onto my necklace. My parents gave this to me, they said it will protect me. I hope it does...He grabs my wrist, yanking me towards him. I shut my eyes closed than I hear him scream in pain. I hesitate than I open my eyes to see that his hand is burned! He glares at me than runs out.
