"Uh... do you guys need anything?" Changkyun awkwardly stood by the door, staring at the wall behind them, mimicking eye contact.
"Hyungwon has been on edge for a few days and wanted to know if you knew anything about Jooheons disappearance at school?" Hoseok asked, grabbing Hyungwons hand.
"No, but that sucks no one told me he dissapeared." Changkyun faked a frown, he heard Hyungwon sigh.
"Can I at least use the bathroom?" He asked.
"Uh sure, down the hall and to the right.." Changkyun let them in.
Shortly after Hyungwon left, they heard a thump up stairs and a muffled whine.
"What was that, kyun?"
"oH that was...a dog..."
"Wait what the fuck you have a doG NOW AND DIDN'T TELL ME?" Hoseok placed his hand on his chest, very clearly shocked and hurt from his best friends betrayal.
Changkyun was about to explain himself, (continue to lie) until Hyungwon walked back into the living room.
"Kyun, what was that thump?"
"I-"
"CHANGKYUN ADOPTED A DOG AND DIDN'T TELL US!"
"WHAT?!? CHANGKYUN HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT YOUR PARENTS LIKE THAT?"
"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET ME SPEAK!"
The room went silent and Changkyun took a deep breath.
"I found a dog outside the building and brought it in. I already contacted the number on the tag and his person will be here any minute." He lied through his teeth, but it was extremely believable.
He almost believed it.
"Well, can we play with him until they get here?"
"No get out of my house." Changkyun shoved Hyungwonho out of his house and locked the door, hearing a small whine from the other side of the door.
He sighed and walked back upstairs to Jooheons room.
"Jooheon, baby, what happened?" Changkyun was going to scold Jooheon for almost getting caught, until he saw the boy's body on the ground, shaking.
What spiked Changlyuns anxiety even more was the shelf that fell out of the wall and onto the bed, right at head level.
He gasped, ran over to the elder, cradling him in his arms and shushing his cries.
"What happened?" Changkyun asked with a soft tone, placing his finger under Jooheons chin and pecking his forehead.
"T-the bookshelf fell on my h-head and almost k-knocked me out" Jooheon sniffled, clasping his hands onto Changkyun shirt.
Changkyuns heart shattered.
Yes he was coming up here to scold Jooheon for making noise, but now he feels bad about it.
His baby got hurt by something other than himself, and that's not good.
In a way...it made Changkyun feel even worse for what he'll be doing to Jooheon in the end.
But that's not for now, is it?
Changkyun continued to hold Jooheon as he cried, softly stroking his hair.

"I can't believe it Seok! How could Changkyun not know that Jooheon, the boy he's been crushing on since middle school, had gone missing??" Hyungwon ranted on the way to their car.
Hoseok sighed as Hyungwon got into the passenger side and crossed his arms.
"Seatbelt, babe." Hoseok reminded as he put the mini car into drive and started moving.
Hyungwon quickly buckled himself up and sighed for the nth time, this time sadder.
"I fucked up, Hoseok...if I didn't pay attention to him and made sure I knew he was ok he wouldn't have gone missing! Maybe he wasn't even kidnapped maybe he ran away! Maybe he-" Hyungwon was cut off from his mini tangent by Hoseoks lips.
Of course at a red light, they're not that unsafe...
Sometimes.
"If you would just shut up maybe we would find him. Have you reported this to the police?" Hoseok pulled away and started driving to their flat once the light turned green again.
"I left kihyun to do it."
"Knowing him he's probably yelling Hyunwoo hyungs ear off about it."
They both chuckled at the thought of their hamster-mom-friend thing yelling at their bear-dad-friend thing about Jooheon instead if being reasonable and reporting to the police.
Hyungwons phone rang, causing their chuckles to cease as he picked up.
"Oh, it's Jeongyeon Noona.."
"Pick it up before she eats your kneecaps!"
"All right!" Hyungwon slid his thumb across the bottom of his phone.
"Hey noo-"
"HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME THE FAVORITE ONE WENT MISSING AND I HAD TO FIND OUT FROM MY WIFE AND OUR CHILD?!?!?!?"
"nOT this aGAIN FOR THE LAST TIME I'M YOUR NEPHEW HOW COULD SPMEONE ON YOU MET 4 YEARS AGO BE YOUR FAVORITE???"
"DON'T ASK QUESTIONS BEFOR EYOU ANSWER MINE!"
"ALL RIGHT!! we thought you would over react and we were right."
"yoU MOTHER-"
"OOPS GOTTA GO BYEEE!" Hyungwon hung up and turned it off.
Hoseok let out the laughter he was struggling to hold in at the interaction over the phone.
"What's so funny!"
"I'll never get used to your bickering..." Hoseok laughed for a little longer then stopped.
He parked the car and got out, Hyungwon followed suit.
They walked up the stairs to their apartment and unlocked the door to three angry cats and their turtle, suitingly named Hyungwon jr.
Hyungwon smiled at their semi-domestic home and latched his arms around Hoseoks arm, dragging him inside to eat.
Cus god dammit if he's finding his friend he's not doing it on an empty stomach.

"Mom why were you yelling on the phone?" Jeongyeon and Nayeon'a teen daughter asked from the living room.
"Hyungwon is being a dumbass again."
"Mom no cursing"
"Sorry Chae."
Chaeyoung hummed and continued coloring in her book.
Nayeon had just left to drop Dahyun off with Tzuyu's best friend.
Y'know since both of them were kidnapped.
Jeongyeons phone rang.
My Love 💞💞💞💞💍 is calling.
Jeongyeon smiled and slid the answer button, her wife's face coming into view.
"Hi my lovely!"
Chaeyoung fake gagged from the dining room table.
Both women smiled and continued making more embarrassing names for eachother in front of their child.
"I just dropped Dahyun at Chris and Woojins house and I'm on my way back, do you need anything?"
"ARBYS!" Chaeyoung shouted from the other side of the kitchen, causing Nayeon to snort and mumble out an 'okay see you soon' and hung up.
Jeongyeon joined her child at the table and started coloring with her, awaiting her wife to return home with some good ass fast food
