Chapter 2

The world around her cleared, and she soon found herself in a small house. It seemed like this world was pretty similar to Earth if not for the saturated colours.

Soon enough, the chat screen reappeared.

EternalNight; Do you see it? I chose your temporary residence.

MangoMilkTea: Dumb idiot, I'm the one that found it. Stop trying to take my credit.

RefinedQuartz: How's the house? Is it to your liking m? You may be staying there for a while.

Melody looked around at her new home. It was pretty homely, with a slightly modern look to it.

RefinedQuartz: If you look on the table, you'll see your ID card and phone. Sometimes it's not convenient to type in the air, so we've prepared a phone for you.

MangoMilkTea; Hey, do you like the case?? It's of mangoes.

Melody turned her phone and looked at the back. It was true, in the middle of her case there was a fat mango.

MangoMilkTea: In case you can't guess, I really love mangoes!!!!!

EternalNight: everyone can tell

MangoMilkTea: Hey, she hasn't met me in person yet. How could she tell???

EternalNight: hmm. maybe from your name, or your profile pic, or your bio, which is mangoes for breakfast. mangoes for lunch. na just eat mangoes every time you can.

MangoMilkTea: ehhh, your just insulting my tastes now 😖😖😖

TheOneTrueGod: Wait why did nobody tell me that she was hereee

MangoMilkTea: @TheOneTrueGod that's your fault isn't it.

TheOneTrueGod: aiya, welcome Melody to our chat

RefinedQuartz: For now you are free to wander your house and it's surroundings if you want.

The chat room quickly closed in front of her as she reached for her phone. It seemed like as long as she had her phone with her that chat room would close.

Melody looked around her house. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was a pretty ordinary house, at least on Earth.

Melody walked into what she assumed would be her room. She sat on the bed... oh what's this???

Melody was staring at herself in the reflection. Her ordinary black hair and brown eyes had turned into dark brown hair with purple highlights and purple eyes. Her face had also configured itself to become much prettier. She checked out her figure.

Aiya, nothing had changed. She still had the same airport runway chest.

She sighed in exasperation. They had to change her appearance but they still kept her figure the same.

Melody didn't notice that her skin was much whiter than it had been before.

At that moment, her tummy rumbled. She looked around out of habit to see if anyone listened. Of course nobody would be watching. She was in her own house.

Melody checked the fridge and realised it was empty. It seemed like she had to walk around to find some food or she'd starve.
