1 Chapter 1

A small girl attempted to walk across the street carrying two bags of shopping that were almost half her size. The light had turned green when she started to walk, but the heavy weight of the groceries held her down, and she began to slow.

Eventually she dropped her bags, and as she reached out to pick them up again, a bus rammed straight in to her fragile body.

It flew straight across to a traffic light before falling, her green dress being stained red.

Her sight became full, and eventually the world around her faded into pitch black.

Her consciousness drifted around, wondering if she'd stay like this for all eternity. Soon, her death felt irrelevant, and she began into get tired of seeing nothing but the darkness.

After a while, she heard a small voice and attempted to find it, glad to have found something that was not just darkness.

She drifted towards it, and she soon found that it was a menu, with notifications continuously popping out.

"Hey, is our new errand runner here yet, I'm so excited to meet her"

"Please stop"

"Does anyone know where she'll be situated?"

She clicked on the notification immediately leading her to a chat room, in which several members were talking.

MangoMilkTea: Ehh, she's online. Heyyyyy

A few seconds later:

EternalNight: Wait really?

RefinedQuartz: Ah, so she is

MangoMilkTea: why is she not saying anything???

EternalNight: she should still be in the zone, right?

RefinedQuartz: Yes, I checked her location. She's still in the Zone

MangoMilkTea: she must be so confused.

Melody followed the conversation unsure. Were they talking about her?

RefinedQuartz: Hello Melody?

So they were. She hesitatingly wrote

[hello?]

She wasn't sure what was going on.

RefinedQuartz: You have entered Death.

MangoMilkTea: But guess what!!!!! Us kind gods have given you a chance to relive your life in a new world.

EternalNight: Yep, all we need in return is for you to do some tasks for us from time to time. It's not big deal.

Melody had a thousand thoughts running through her mind. She quickly recovered and attempted to process it systematically.

Since Melody had been going through her middle school syndrome when she died, she accepted it pretty quickly.

Aiya, was there magic in this world??

RefinedQuartz: We'll be sending you to your new post soon. Get ready.

Eh? Get ready? For what? As she tried to figure out what this meant bright colours were filling her vision...
