30 Chapter-30(part-1)

*Ugh*

A small grown escaped Chu Yuechan's mouth as she felt intense pain coming from every part of her body.

'My profound strength....', A lost look appeared in her eyes as the power which she had accumulated after years of efforts was all gone.

Lying with her back against the snow, Chu Yuechan looked up at the moon hanging in the night sky.

A drop of tear fell down her cheek, but her expression was still the same as always.

'There's no point in living anymore...', With her profound strength gone and her meridians damaged beyond repair, while being stranded in the snow, miles away from the nearby civilisation.

In a world where the strong feed over the weak, a maiden like her who has lost her profound strength is but a prey for those with malicious intent.

It was better for her to just die right here.

Thinking upto this point, Chu Yuechan slowly closed her eyes.

[So you are going to give up then?]

Without any warning an ethereal voice whispered beside Chu Yuechan's ear but instead of doubting it's ambiguous origin, she just said plainly in her mind.

'They are too strong for me....'

Layers of ice started forming on her body, what an irony it was to die from the cold energy she had practised her whole life.

But then the voice continued.

[Indeed they are too strong]

'Yes...'

[It's not that you don't want to do something but you can't]

'Indeed.....'

[It is not your fault, the world is at fault]

'right...the world has never been fair.....'

Finally Chu Yuechan's thought process came to a stop as the cold reached her brain.

Just as she was going to fall in a deep sleep.

[So that is that your excuse for giving up]

The voice kept going but no reply came from Chu Yuechan's side.

[Indeed how could someone as weak as you could have possibly made any difference]

Chu Yuechan's eyelid twitched a little.

[You should have just married some powerful man and be done with it. I'm pretty sure it would have been easier for you to achieve that with your pretty face.]

The voice turned sarcastic.

Her index finger moved a little.

Suddenly Chu Yuecha stood up and shouted at the night sky.

"You know...nothing....about me....", Dropping down on her knees, tears started coming out of Chu Yuechan's eyes as her eyes turned red and face contracted.

With her profound strength gone, the restrain on her emotions was also released as they started coming back to her.

The voice turned silent as it let Chu Yuechan cry her heart out.

After a while.

[Indeed I know nothing about you]

This time the voice was no longer sarcastic.

[But you know what I do know?]

[The fact that you didn't worked hard for all these years just to give up.]

Chu Yuechan bite down on her lip as a trail of blood came out.

[The fact that you didn't spent days,months,years even decades cultivating just to be married off to someone else.]

[....Or did u?]

Chu Yuechan slammed her hand against the snow in denial.

[The world has never been fair 'Chu Yuechan' and you know it all too well.]

[But does that mean that you will give up and let the world win?]

"No....", A hoarse but strong voice escaped her mouth

[Then why do you still sit here waiting to be killed by the snow?]

[Stand back up on your feet and fight!]

The tone of the voice became heavier.

[Make them pay for what they have done! make them understand that you are not someone who will take a beating lying down! Do not expect some random stranger to come and help you, and even if he does then what? would it change anything?.]

"But I am still too wea------."

Without letting her finish her sentence, a voice roared in her mind.

A golden light surrounded Chu Yuechan's vision.

A pair of burning red eyes stared down at her.

[The power to stand against the world!]

Chu Yuechan's clothes and the snow around her melted down exposing her perfect body.

A small hand extended from the golden flame patting her head.

"Take it...."

A golden light enveloped her.

"....And be reborn"
