2 Ryosei Aida and the beginning

I'll skip all the boring stuff for you and give you a quick rundown of all that's happened since I was reborn. I was born one year after Riko as Ryosei Aida, with my memories intact, so yes I did have to go through my life as a baby. Very humiliating, but I powered through knowing what I had to look forward to.

While Riko took after our father with her light brown hair, I took after our mother who had sleek raven black hair that has a faint blue tint in direct sunlight. I got her fair skin and truly beautiful face along with her dark black eyes, sorry Riko, you got stuck with dad's gene pool.

Sadly our mother passed away a year after I was born, I guess to go with her smaller frame also came a frailty that caused her to easily get sick.

(AN: I couldn't find anything on the mother, so if she's not actually dead. Sorry lol)

Being as young as she was it didn't seem to affect Riko very much, not to mention how caring our dad is. Which leads to my main reason for choosing this family, Kagetora Aida. He played for the Japanese National team and now he is a full time sports trainer with access to all the latest equipment and a fully equipped gym. What better place to start my new life when I'm planning on playing basketball against the GoM?

I showed him my interest in basketball from a young age, and with it I got a much earlier start learning the game than I ever did in my last life. I was showing amazing potential and progress for someone so young and I was already looking forward to middle school.

With training guides for my physical growth as well as my development in basketball specifically, I was sure I could take on the Generation of Miracles.

My first year of middle school I was already 5'5, pretty much average height and my exact height from my past life when I was this age. I honestly didn't want to be as tall as Murasakibara, so I set my body to stop growing once I hit 6'4. Which is still a respectable height in my opinion.

I guess I should also mention my abilities a little bit, seeing as they are what's going to help me beat the GoM. My Raven's eye can currently seen half of the court, but my brain is already completely synced to my body. It was a bit weird to get used to, but since I had since a baby to get the hang of it I now just feel normal.

Also I learned an ability while training with my dad, Barrier Jumper, as someone who loves to be elusive and get open for shots this move will go a long way for me. In my past life I mostly shot from outside the arc due to having to score as much as possible, but now with this new body and speed I'll be able to become a more all round player. Able to score from outside the arc as well as inside the arc.

That brings us to my first day of middle school at Katagiri Junior High School.

(AN: I actually stole this name from the high school Horimiya takes place. I wasn't planning on using characters from different shows, but should I?)

Schooling in this life has been agonizingly easy seeing as I made it to my senior year of high school once already, and I guess since it's a basketball based anime world school is a lot easier. The only thing that's made it bearable has been basketball, so I easily passed with great grades.

Not to mention my Raven's eye other ability of basically giving me photographic memory, which made it that much easier. Well I guess let me introduce my basketball team.

With it being a lesser known school in the basketball scene, I've once again ended up on a team that is not very good to say the least. Single digit in the win column, sometimes only single digit points in games as well. Losing seasons for the past 30 years and no championships, just how I like my schools. I mean why go to a school that's used to winning and getting championships when you can make history at an unknown school?

My dad wasn't impressed by my decision, but I think he also respected that I wasn't taking the easy way out as well. Anyways back to my new team.

Their's 3 3rd years

Captain Tao Hiroyuki Point Guard (Tao=Family name, Hiroyuki=Given)

Vice-Captain Kawahara Yoshiaki Center

Arata Haru Small Forward

2nd years

Otani Masahiko Shooting Guard

Otake Michio Power Forward

Teshima Tadashi Bench

1st years

Me

Ikehara Kichirou

And that was our whole basketball team, we didn't even have a real coach, just a teacher to be our club supervisor. We also didn't have a team a manger either, oh well I'll do my best to whip them into semi decent shape. Maybe I'll even get one or 2 of them on the level of my old trio who knows, but I kind of want to see what I can accomplish on my own first.

Make us into an elite passing team where each member is like a knockoff Kuroko with insane passes.

Author's Note

2 chapters in 2 days? Don't expect this kind of consistency, I just happened to have 2 days off work in a row when I got the itch for this.

Also I'm really leaning towards using characters and places from other anime, just to make it easier on myself. However I don't plan on having them play basketball, just using them for a slice of life side to the story. Who knows, maybe I'll go crazy with crossovers, hah not likely, I would definitely try to at least write until where the anime left off if I did though.

Also all the names for his teammates where randomly generated, and I haven't decided how recurring they will be. Because I kind of want MC to be a one man wrecking crew, but I feel like that might be boring to read.

Expect next chapter to actually have some basketball scenes, I just hope I can do it justice in a way that's fun and easy to visualize. Theses first 2 chapters were honestly just introduction and building up to the start of middle school.

I also didn't want to have a whole "training arc" so I used me being Kagetora's son as an excuse for him having great basketball fundamentals and IQ, even though I personally am not that knowledgeable on the ins and outs of basketball.

Thanks for reading
