Innate Skill: Auspicious Clouds!

"Fight you?"

Zui Gao's indifferent voice resounded within the air.

"Originally, this eminence was disinclined to waste time on you. But after less than five minutes within the Heavenly World, you have already committed three great offenses."

"Bullying the younger generation of my Heavenly World."

"Inciting Unrest."

"Calling yourself emperor."

Within the Demonic Realm, the flame demon clan had a distinguished status. They were the descendants of Tian Mo's siblings and thus, they had been for generations granted the unique privilege of the imperial style and did not fall under the jurisdiction of the Demonic Sovereigns.

However, calling themselves emperors within the Demonic Realm was one thing. Doing so within the Heavenly World was a different matter.

"What is wrong with an emperor referring to himself as such? If you're dissatisfied, then fight! Twin Corpse Incantation!"

Vast red light burst from Hao Yan's body and in a twister of crimson flames turned into an exact replica of him.

Worse, that replica's strength didn't seem any lower than his. The Twin Corpse Incantation was derived from Tian Mo's Three Corpse Incantation and allowed its users to extract either their positive or negative energies and form a new body out of them. That body could then quickly cultivate back to the original body's level and double their battle power.

The two Hao Yan turned into terrifying balls of crimson flames that discolored the sky and caused the temperature within a thousand miles to increase at breakneck speed then shot toward Zui Gao!

In the distance, the Celestial Realm's deities observed the scene with great interest.

"Hao Yan is really brave. Does he really think that his Twin Corpse Incantation is enough to battle Zui Gao?"

"Flame demons do not listen to reason. They only listen to their heart. As long as the image of his father's death rests within him, he must fight!"

Seeing the two flame meteors shooting toward him, Zui Gao remained undisturbed.

*Boom*

Without any magical power, without any divine force, he stretched out his palms and stopped them dead in their tracks. The barbaric energy released by the collision was nullified within his hands and didn't spread toward the surrounding immortals.

And in the blink of an eye, the crimson flames dispersed, revealing the two Hao Yan's who stared at him with incredulous eyes while their heads remained clenched within his palms.

"How is this poss…"

*Bang*

Before they could say any more, Zui Gao used their skulls as battering rams and slammed them into each other, causing the dreadful sound of snapping bones to echo within the air.

Their skulls shattered and blood erupted from their forehead, drenching them both in their own blood.

"Harming the peace of the Heavenly World, the sentence is…death!"

Zui Gao showed no mercy, his large grip tightened around the left Hao Yan's skull and in gruesome compression, ground his head into a mixture of blood and bones.

What remained of the body plummeted toward the ground, but before it could reach it, a Taiji diagram appeared underneath and swallowed it within.

"AAAAAAARGH!"

The remaining Hao Yan agonized. Although the two were separate entities, they stemmed from the same origin. Destroying one would have irreparable damage on the other.

"But considering that you are here on the invitation of the Heavenly Emperor, I can absolve you of the death penalty. Although the world has never seen such a rude guest, let no one say that the imperial dragon clan is not a tolerant host!"

Zui Gao released Hao Yan from his grasp and with a deafening punch, sent him crashing into the mountain range!

And instantaneously, the world turned silent.

Although they were perfectly aware of his short temper, the demon saints under Hao Yan's supervision had not expected things to escalate so quickly.

As for the gods in the distance, they were horrified.

"Hao Yan, a powerhouse among God-Kings, was in Zui Gao's hands no different than a toy."

"That is to be expected. A hundred thousand years ago, he was already a God-Emperor. A hundred thousand years later his cultivation must have reached unfathomable heights."

"With such strength, crossing his upcoming cosmic tribulation should be simple. The dragon clan will soon have another Supreme God..."

That was a scenario no one wished to see. The power vacuum was daunting enough as it stood. If the two brothers simultaneously reached higher cultivation realms, the future of all those that opposed the dragon clan's absolute rule was worrying.

"Hum, hum."

"Thank you all for joining the thirtieth hunt of the Heaven Shrouding Coffins. The rules are simple…"

Zui Gao proclaimed while pulling out a jade box which he hurled at the invisible barrier.

"…there are no rules. Use whatever method you see fit. Fight without consideration for your opponent's status. Battle as if your lives were on the line as they might really well be. The contest ends when every coffin possesses an owner. How long that lasts depends solely on your skills!"

The jade box slammed into the barrier in an explosion of multicolor light which blinded the unprepared immortals.

The barrier collapsed, and the box flew back into Zui Gao's hands.

The six coffins that had been hovering above the highest peak until now turned into six beams of light and flew toward opposing directions.

Zui Gao and the Nature Realm God vanished from the scene, leaving only the juniors to fight for the coffins.

The dragon immortal group was the first to move. It split into six groups that each shot toward a different coffin with Long Wei serving as a group by himself.

The other groups followed suit, and in a flash, the previously lively spot had been deserted.

...

Leading a group of twelve silver dragon immortals, Long Ming pursued his chosen coffin. The golden and silver dragons were the two main branches of the imperial dragon clan. Each of them could trace their lineage back to a Heavenly Emperor. Yue Li was a silver dragon, and so was Long Ming. Therefore, his voice carried more weight among them.

As if taunting them, the coffin flew at moderate speed. Too fast to be caught, but too slow to get out of their sight. The chase went on until it dived into one of the many caves within the mountain range.

Long Ming was about to dive in when suddenly, a beam of cyan light tore through the air and blocked his path.

"Why the haste? Long Ming, as fellow sons of heavens, shouldn't we spend some time to exchange pointers?

A haughty voice echoed from where the beam originated.

Long Ming turned his furious gaze toward it and wasn't surprised to see Kong Ren alongside more than thirty immortals of the bird alliance.

"Kong Ren, this prince is in no mood to play with you. If you don't want to get pummeled, get lost!"

Long Ming spat and turned back to the cave's entrance.

"I'm afraid the choice is not yours to make. Encircle them!"

Heading Kong Ren's words the dozens of bird immortals surrounded the much smaller dragon group.

"Your dragon clan is really audacious. Only bringing such small troops to contend with us. Are you looking down on all the divine clans?"

Despite having the largest immortal force in the Celestial Realm, the dragon clan had only sent about one hundred immortals to seize the coffins. Unless they were also hiding forces, this was naked contempt.

"The people of the Heavenly World claim you to be better than me, but I don't believe it. Today if you want to pass, you will have to first defeat me!"

Kong Ren proclaimed, and a pair of large iridescent peacock feathered wings sprang from his back.

"Defeat you? Bwahahaha!"

Alongside his fellow silver dragons, Long Ming burst into laughter.

"Was that peacock's head kicked by a donkey?"

"Hey, what do you know? Those useless birds have been hiding within their caves for so long that their brains have been asphyxiated by the lack of fresh air. It is natural for them to spout such nonsense."

"Hahahahaha!"

Seeing the blatant scorn within the dragon group's demeanor and hearing their less than flattering remarks, the dozens of bird immortals were incensed. Kong Ren was particularly infuriated. Never had he been taken so lightly since he embarked on the road of cultivation.

"Kong Ren, sharing the same title doesn't mean that we stand in the same league."

"Today, allow this prince to remind you why the dragon race is hailed as "the beloved offspring of the Celestial Realm."

"Innate Skill: Auspicious Clouds!"

Rainbow colored clouds were summoned and swirled around Long Ming's form while his body glittered with silver light.

"Innate Skill: Auspicious Clouds!"

Following his lead, the twelve silver dragon immortals also used their innate skill and summoned their own auspicious clouds.

Instantly, the bird immortals could feel a change in the laws of heaven and earth and the loss of their ability to channel both the laws and the abundant immortal qi within the air.

...

Long Wei had reached the cave within which his chosen coffin dwelled when he was ambushed by a group of six ten thousand years old Great Dao Immortals of the lion and tiger clans.

"Crown Prince, I'm afraid we cannot allow you to obtain the coffin."

Said the leader with confidence.

"Allow this prince? Why does this prince need your permission?"

"Although you are the most outstanding immortal in the last hundred thousand years and have already broken through the Great Dao Immortal Realm, you are after all too young. Do you think that you can singlehandedly battle us?"

"You are mistaken. This is not a fight. This is unilateral slaughter. Innate Skill: Auspicious Clouds!"

Rainbow colored clouds were summoned and swirled around Long Wei while golden light burst from his body.

And just like the bird immortals, the tiger and lion immortals lost their ability to control the laws and immortal qi in the vicinity.

...

Following Feng Wu Chen's lead, Feng Wu Shuang had brought Cat Hou Hui toward another coffin's location. But as soon as their team arrived, they were intercepted by a dragon immortal group which seemed to have been waiting for them.

At their helm was a young silver-haired, handsome youth whose eyes sparkled with playfulness.

He was Long Xie, the third son of heaven and the Northern Dragon King's most outstanding grandson.

Seeing Feng Wu Chen, he beamed.

"Feng Wu Chen, you sure know how to make a man wait. I was about to go look for you."

Well aware of the reason why Long Xie was targeting him, Feng Wu Chen greeted him with a scowl.

"How about becoming my male concubine? I will make sure to treat you well."

Long Xie was the most promiscuous junior of the dragon clan. Worse, he had no preference between men and women and welcomed both into his bed while rumors of massive orgies always followed his trails.

And for some time, he had shown great interest in Feng Wu Chen.

"Long Xie, are you trying to humiliate me?"

"How is that humiliating you? Becoming my male concubine only has advantages and no disadvantages. I will pamper you more than your mother ever could."

Feng Wu Chen's eyes shone with killing intent, and bright golden flames erupted from his form as he shot toward Long Xie.

"Tss, tss, tss. And here I wanted to avoid harming your mesmerizing body. Oh well, I suppose it is time…to rectify the ranking of the seven sons."

"Innate Skill: Auspicious Clouds!"

Just like with the others, rainbow-colored clouds were summoned and swirled around Long Xie while his body glittered with light matching his draconic lineage. Silver light in his case.

And as soon as those clouds appeared, Feng Wu Chen lost control of the yang laws he had summoned and could no longer draw immortal qi from the atmosphere.

Long Xie casually threw a palm, and Feng Wu Chen was sent flying backward while spurting a large mouthful of blood.

"How is this possible?"

But no amount of disbelief could prevent his golden yang flames from fading into oblivion.

A) While reviewing one of the previous chapters (as I do from time to time) I saw one horrifying mistake that no one pointed out O_O. If you see one of those, please point them out.

B) No chapter tomorrow. I will try to do one double release on Saturday or Sunday to make up for that but for now...I've reached my limits. See you on Friday...hopefully.
