282 Boring Summer [#11]: Don't Ask

Turns out, the person Derek was talking to on the phone with was an old family friend- Satomi Ito, she had reached out to him because apparently one of her Betas had gone to Beacon Hills and she felt them die! Derek explained to her what happened and what they dealt with, and since she was in Hale land due to her agreement with the Hale Alpha she decided to check up on his words- Derek took a photo of the giant spider corpse and sent it to her, she requested to visit his inner territory and he agreed to the meeting, she would bring her Right Hand, her Emissary, and her Emissary's apprentice, the four of them would be there. "So they're arriving today?" Derek nodded nervously as Stiles sighed- He pulled himself out of the bed, careful to not wake up the two most adorable children in the world that were sleeping in their father's chest, he changed the shirt he was wearing quickly before he flickered his finger upwards, casting [Levitate] on both children- Their little bodies hovered safely a few feet from the bed as Derek got out, he slowly lowered them back to the bed before he gave the shirt he was wearing to Derek, who did not hesitate before wearing it.

"Okay, let's do this-" Stiles opened the door and left the room, the Stilinski house was lively early in the day! John was out working right now but due to the fusion between Stiles' and Derek's pack, their spaces are now being shared all the time. Isaac sat by the sofa, his hands resting on Keaton's lap, the queen was doing something to his nails as Adrian played around with his hair: "I think yellow or purple would fit nicely with him." Stiles commented as he passed by because Isaac seemed a little undecided, so he suggested two colors he thought would look nice to try first! Isaac liked pretty things, so did Stiles, no one here is judging. "Good mornin' Erica." Just as he stepped into the kitchen, Erica gave him a cup of coffee that he gladly took, he passed it to Derek who hummed thankful, Stiles focused more on the fact that a neighbor pack was coming to visit and he had to make shit good enough to go! With a grounding little session of breathing in and out, Stiles entered what many (His dad, Melissa, Scott used to call it) call his 'Mortal Mother Mode', or Triple M. "Okay, Erica go do something else, Boyd and Derek will help me here and I don't need your distracting presence here right now." She was going to make an offended sound when Stiles pointed upwards: "Go sleep with Eli and Ammy." She practically flew up those stairs, Boyd looked honestly jealous that she would sleep with the puppies and he wouldn't. 

"Derek, check the fridge and crack me six eggs, Boyd get me some flour, peppermint, cinnamon, and milk while i prepare some apples for an apple pie and a bunch of appetizers to be a good host for a neighbor pack who is coming to visit today and i was not fucking warned about-" He did not even use a knife, he simply slashed his finger furiously as he used several precisely controlled [Air Blades] to cut the apples into nice pieces, he used [Summon Steak] and threw it at Skoll's face when he was about to snap at his brother Hati because he was hangry! "Behave Skoll, or I'll get you running from Nalunod for a whole hour and have him drag your ass down the river!" Skoll whined before snatching the steak and eating, Stiles summoned and threw another to Hati after Skoll ate his. "Now, let's do this shit."

"So this is the place?" Hadrian scented the air, the roof was slightly damaged as well as the dirt and driveway to the garage, Satomi could smell the faint rotting scent of death and the sharp acidic scent of something dangerous- Poison? In the roof, which was damaged but clearly repaired! "I believe so." Her Emissary, Angeline frowned, her eyebrows raising up to her hairline as she let out a "Huh" of surprise, smelling confused but interested in something: "Angel?" Hadrian was not only her Right Hand, but also Angeline's Mate! He noticed his Mate's odd behavior as did their daughter, Angeline's apprentice, Vivien- "Oh, nothing, just… there's wards in this house? Yeah, they also look kinda recent, but are too powerful to be recent! Like, they should be at least a few years old to be this powerful, since wards grow with time since the wards' connection to the land grows and therefore the wards will draw more magic and stuff." Satomi nodded in understanding, she knows a bunch about magic thanks to her Emissary's curiosity and desire to learn as much about it as she could, and distribute it around too! "So, how can it be so powerful then…?" Vivien asked, her scent betraying hee confusion even though her face did not.

"Well, we are about to find out." Hadrian said, a little tense- Satomi knew he still had his suspicions about the Hale Pack, he loved Kevin like a brother and the moment he comes to Beacon Hills he dies!? Of course he would be suspicious! They knocked on the door, a moment later the door was opened and greeting them was a tall man with a cocky grin- Peter Hale, Satomi recognized quickly, Left Hand of the Hale Pack: "Ah, Satomi!" He smiled brightly at her, she smiled politely back at him and took the offered hand in a handshake: "Greetings Left Hand Hale." Peter looked at her pack with a mischievous grin, he was about to say something when a voice called out: "Peter, are our guests here?" It was a Young voice, soft spoken but it had a certain danger to it somehow? It was an instinctual reaction to his voice, her wolf telling her to be careful around him: "Yes Alpha Mate-" That made them pause. They didn't know that Alpha Hale had a Mate? "-We are on our way." He opened the door for them and gave them the go ahead. As they entered the house the scent of Pack was strong, as well as the scent of animals, food, and affection in the air. As they passed the threshold and entered the living room they saw the dining room and there stood Alpha Hale, helping his Mate set the table. "Alpha Sakaguchi." Satomi nodded in greeting and repeated with an "Alpha Hale" just as a young man, pale white skin, short dark brown hair, amber eyes and power in his veins walked into the dining room from the kitchen carrying a tray of food. 

"Ah, hello Alpha Sakaguchi." He greeted before looking back at the kitchen- It was then that the sound of two sets of small footsteps echoed, running from the kitchen came two children and the scent of pups was immediate. She recognized how well their scent mixed, which meant they were family, they were a really beautiful family. "Greetings Alpha Mate Hale…" She could smell and sense the shock from the three behind her, Peter walked forward and took the little girl into his arms just as Alpha Hale took the little boy into his, together and adjusted the two in their own chairs beside the Alpha Pair of the house: "Let's skip the pleasantries for a while- come, you all must be hungry, do not waste the feast i specially prepared for you in a hurry, seeing as i was not warned about your arrival until a few hours ago." The annoyed look Alpha Hale gave to his Mate explained everything, but the affection behind those eyes and on their scent was almost sickeningly sweet: "Ah, thank you very much." Soon they were all seated at the table enjoying a hearty meal, they did not expect the bombshell that dropped on them at that moment! "So, you came here to check on us to see if we killed your Beta or something?" It was so unexpected that even Alpha Hale choked on his food while Peter just sighed with amusement in his scent. 

Awkwardly, her Right Hand lifted his hand and made a 'more or less' gesture while saying: "Something like that, but also other things." Derek finished coughing a bit, he was about to say something when everyone at the table raised their heads- There was this shrill cry echoing from the backyard, loud enough that even humans could hear it: "Ugrh, I'll go deal with it, stay here and protect the kids…" Stiles was about to get up when bawling into the house came Hati holding a baby of the spider that had escaped, he wagged his tail furiously as he looked smug and proud, talking to Stiles through their telepathic bond: "So this is the fifth one today?" Hati nodded and dropped the spider, the spiderling tried to crawl away but Stiles simply waved his hand over the thing before dropping a clear liquid from a flask- The moment the liquid touched the spiderling, it screeched loudly like it was boiling alive! In fact, the spider started to slowly turn to ash: "Keep an eye out for others, okay?" Hati woofed before leaving, Stiles dragged the ashes of the spider corpse with the force of the wind before collecting the ashes in a small pot. "I seriously need to learn more about these little critters…" Stiles ignored the look of the guests, in fact, no one besides the guests even looked surprised at his behavior or what just happened! 

"So, how's the spaghetti?"

Later that day, Stiles was talking privately in his room with both Vivien and her mother while Derek spoke to Satomi and her Right Hand, Peter was taking care of the kids and playing with them. Derek felt a little bit restless because he couldn't hear his love's heartbeat even though he knew he was close, it unsettled his wolf and made him nervous, but he was able to play it cool for a while: "So you've been dealing with these things for long?" Hadrian asked, he and Satomi were on one side of the table, eating the little appetizers Stiles made as well as heavenly apple pie that Derek wanted to keep for himself: "Not for long, Stiles, my Mate and Emissary has had a few encounters with more supernatural animals and monsters recently, since the world is changing." Satomi's interest was peaked by that, she rested her hands on the table as she looked curiously: "Would you care to elaborate on that?" 

"Well, the world is changing, I bet you felt it didn't you?" Derek smiled slightly, his hands clenched tightly because of course he started feeling it- Everyone started to feel it, the very next day after Stiles announced that the world was changing, they felt this weird sense of dread and foreboding, not enough to make them panic, but enough to warn them that something was happening! That was their instincts, their wolf aware of the fact that the world was changing. "That sense of dread, anxiety, your wolf screaming at you that something is happening and you don't know what it is?" By the shocked looks he received, he hit it spot on! "The world is growing in magic, slowly, but surely- And because of that, the connection the world has to other places will grow, and with that, more and more creatures like the ones we saw will come." Stiles explained to him as much as he could, he told him to not worry or panic yet, because he is going to make sure Beacon Hills is a safe place, which is why they are going to expand their territory for about double the size! "Stiles has already created a few contracts for an official alliance for when the beginning of the end starts." That was how Stiles referred to the point in time which the supernatural will simply be known by the masses of the world.

"Contract?" Hadrian said: "May I see it?" Derek simply nodded before giving a copy of the contract Stiles gave him, he pulled it out of a rather small bag that was a miniature version of a [Bag of Holding], the first magical item Stiles made! "Here, you can look through it." The clauses of the contract were simple yet effective for an alliance between packs-

1: Derek was the head alpha, he made the final decisions (Of course Derek was nervous about this, but Stiles assured him he'd be there for him at all times), whenever an Alpha of their region of the territory wants to change something or make something, they need to have an audience with Derek so he can decide. 

2: While in the territory, they'll follow the rules of the territory, which are: 

2a: All must respect one another, no stealing, killing, or unreasonable act of violence must be committed. If there is a dispute between two or more parties, the pack law will see upon it and the rules will be followed.

2b: While under the rule of High Alpha Derek Hale and High Druid Stiles Hale, those within the Hale territory must answer to the laws of the land in relation to owning land within the Hale land. The acting government will not be a democratic one, instead going off based on monarchy or feudal lords instead. 

2c: While on Hale land, you and yours are protected by the Hale Pack and must protect those of your area.

2d: Areas are divided into grids as shown upon the map below, an Alpha has the responsibility of overseeing up to 8 squares on the map surrounding their own, while the High Alpha and High Druid must oversee the entire map. An Alpha has to do monthly reports about their territory to the High Alpha Hale, if no report is given at the end of the month, a search party will be started upon the land and if evidence of crime is found, the Alpha will be punished accordingly by the High Druid.

2e: More to be added- Need to think, ugh, governments suck but they are needed to keep our land safe from the others.

3: Commerce and currency must be established- (This shit is going to be a kingdom oh my gods, I'm going to be a queen!)- early, as well as work and survivability… With the technology being shut down by the magic of the world, millions will die, the human race will suffer a great fall. 

4: Just follow the rules and I won't get your head.

Satomi must say: "This is quite… Peculiar." Stiles came into the room at that moment, his smile bright as he came right to Derek and sat on his lap, silently declaring his claim for everyone to see: "Hm? What's that- Derek! You weren't supposed to give them that, it's a draft!" Derek's smug grin at Stiles' annoyance was too much PDA to Satomi who just awkwardly coughed to get their attention: "Alpha Mate, could you elaborate on some of the things we read here?" Stiles just looked at the paper as she showed number [3] and [2b]- "Oh, that? Well, since magic will get really powerful technology will just break because it won't resist, cars will stop working, planes will fall from the sky, electricity will simply be non functional because electricity will become part of the elements. Nature will take back what was taken from it, but on the bright side of things, global warming will stop existing!" Stiles looked really excited about the last one at least! "So society as we know it will fall back a few hundred years?" The only answer she got was a simple nod from Stiles as he began speaking: "Also, dragons, undead, fairies, fey, and monsters will walk the earth again so… Yeah, a lot of death, mostly coming from the Hunters who are going to go crazy and try to kill everything, probably." 

"Ah, the hunters." Derek frowned: "We still have to deal with them." Stiles turned to give Derek a light kiss on the forehead as he sighed: "Yeah, we have… I know they are coming, we have to cleanse this land so it can't be corrupted again, i need to gather the materials for rituals, i need to get strong, and i need you to take the kids to the park because this meeting is almost over and i promised Eli you'd teach him how to ride a bike." Derek simply sighed fondly, he loved his cub and he'd do anything he wanted him to- Satomi had no children of her own, but now she knew that this was much bigger than she ever thought it'd be! Soon Angeline and Vivien came downstairs holding two books each, apparently those were gifts from Alpha Mate Hale and they gave him a book of their own too as a gift for him. "We thank you for having us, Alpha Hale, Alpha Mate Hale." Derek gave her the proper goodbye and they made the first (Well, technically second) alliance for the Hale Pack-

Now, they have more work to do to guarantee the survival of their people! Yes, their people, since the majority of Beacon Hills is either aware of the supernatural or just respect Derek, he has to go meet the city's mayor so he can get the government on his side too- Technically, he can just become the mayor (Stiles suggested him to just become the mayor for easier control over the city, he even has an evil plan to replace the mayor!) but he doesn't really want to have more responsibilities now… "Eli baby, are you ready?" Derek held the bike from behind, he had taken off his shirt because little Eli had ended up throwing up on him because he had a panic attack due to seeing a dead deer on the road (Trauma, possibly) and now? Now he feels the gaze of a few horny moms and dads as they watch him help his son learn how to ride a bike! Well, it has little wheels to help his balance. 

"Ye." Derek held his hand for a few moments before letting him go, he watched as Eli pedaled the bike with speed- Only to fall. "Oof." He heard his little one cry in surprise, thankfully he wasn't hurt! "Again!" And that day, Derek knew the second most beautiful thing was his children's laughter, Peter helping Ammy learn how to ride a bike alongside Eli had made quite the beautiful scene of them laughing- oh, what's the most beautiful thing he has ever seen? Stiles, obviously.

"So you're graduating early?" Stiles held the book he was reading tightly as Lydia's voice made him pause: "Yeah, in one year it won't mean anything anyway, and besides… Why study about those things when I can try to learn how to convert technology into magical technology so it doesn't break down when the world goes to shit?" Lydia's eyes had a glow to them- Stiles knew he had her attention at that moment: "Mom-" he turned to see Lydia holding her phone: "I'm graduating early to take a gap year, can you help me?" 

Stiles stood there, smirking.

"Now, show me what you know till now." 

And he did! He showed her the three books he bought from the [Shop]- [Enchanting, the basics of Evocation, Abjuration, Conjuration, Transmutation, and Divination - By, Eleonora Evellyl] that taught him how to make minor special magical items that worked wonderfully through the use of his own magic, he was trying now to make an arcane battery to store magic within so he can power up mechanical things! Which is why he also has [How to Make Magical Items, for Dummies - By Hazard Greyhound], and another book by the name [So, you wanna make automatons. - By Gia Gioz]! "Huh, intriguing." Lydia snatched one of the books from his hand and he did not comment on that- Why? Because he wanted a break! He left her there to read those books, he even gave her the bark he was practicing his carving of the runes and symbols on as well as his enchanting tool he bought from the [Shop] too.

"I'll go find my wolf husband." And indeed he went to find him! He found his baby lying on the grass of the park, his babies lying on their father and sleeping beautifully. Calmly, he sat down beside them and watched as Derek smiled before looking up at him, Stiles couldn't resist how hot he looked; He kissed him. "Hi beautiful." Derek blushed and Stiles could practically feel the jealousy in the air from the moms and dads in the park- Everyone could see that Derek was his! His and only his- "Baby, you smell so good right now." Stiles blushed brightly. "So possessive, so adorable my baby." Stiles nodded as Derek pulled him into a crushing hug and made him into a second bed for their kids- They looked like the perfect couple. 

The most beautiful and happy couple. 

"Love, Spring is coming in two months… Are you ready for when I knot you?" Stiles' face was completely red now, he nodded slowly as Derek's eyes burned in a bright red color: "Yeah, I am… I want you, I want you and I'll have you forever." His babies moved, Eli's little nose twitched as he nuzzled closer to his dada while Ammy stretched herself over to her papa, the two fathers were pretty much in heaven right then and there.

"When we Mate, I'll make sure to get pregnant, I don't know how yet but I'll find out, and then after everything's stable enough, we can have another kid." Derek could not stop the growling purr that left his chest, he was beyond happy right now, his Mate wanted to have pups with him! "I'll take that as a yes." It was more like a Hell Yeah to be honest.  

Hours later, they went back to the Stilinski house, went for a run around the preserve, and then had dinner with their family- Stiles managed to convince Derek to make a new Pack House, the Hale House was going to be rebuilt by their own hands, Stiles will pour magic every single day into the house to make it a beautiful and strong house- In fact, he planned on ritually carving each wood and each stone of the house with Abjuration, Transmutation, and Conjuration runes to make it perfect! It'll take about 3 more months for the house to be completed, thanks to magic and supernatural strength. 

What was Stiles carving on the house? Well, after a long time researching the effects of some spells, he decided to try one… [Animate Object] on the whole Hale Pack house to make it magically able to move, then cast [Awaken] to make the house sentient and magically charmed by him! He can't complete the casting of the spell yet, but he can prepare the ritual itself to be ready, since both [Awaken] and [Animate Object] are two level 5 spells, and he can't cast them yet! 

The first month was magical- Quite literally, Stiles spent the entire month preparing for various rituals all across town! He was planning ahead and marking places to, in the future, cover the entire Hale territory with a large magical bubble that will keep enemies out. Crazy right? But it's in the far, far future! Stiles easily leveled up to Level 8 after a month, he got access to level 5 spells and was ready to finish the ritual to bring the Hale House to life! But only after his mating ceremony…

After a whole month of work, Scott stopped avoiding him, and to say he was an idiot is underestimating Scott's stupidity: "So you thought I had run off with the people after the game?" He was at his house to ask him why he wasn't at school now that it started again, ignoring the fact that Stiles had graduated before the new school year even began! "Uhm, yeah?" Stiles refused to hit the idiot, he refused, Scott may be an idiot but he is still a good friend who doesn't  deserve to doe yet- "And like, he threatened my mom and Allison, what was I meant to do Stiles!? Plus, I never asked for this, he only came after me because I'm a werewolf, and I'm a werewolf because Peter bit me! Peter Hale, the one you trust with your kids? The one who killed his own family!?" 

Nevermind! 

*boom!*

Scott's body skipped the concrete like a rock skipping a lake, jumping about seven times before it came to a stop, his legs, arms, and every joint of his body was broken beyond what a normal human could resist. Well, nowadays a normal human started healing faster and becoming stronger every day (In fact, every living being -and sometimes not even- are starting to get stronger as the amount of magic in the world grows), when Stiles calmly walked down the street, the neighbors closed their windows and ignored whatever was happening outside, that was what they were instructed to do after all! Derek managed to become good friends with the Mayor (Stiles might've, you know, magically influenced that) and managed to get a protocol going for when supernatural shit happens.

Nowadays the whole town knows about the supernatural and they know what to do when something shady happens- Report to the Sheriff! It was an unspoken secret between citizens that the supernatural was everywhere and that the Hales have been protecting them for generations, in turn, they and the land protect the Hales back too! How? Well, citizens tend to report about hunters when they come to town, which is very helpful! They managed to get about 25 Hunters out of town the same day they arrived. There were new siren systems to warn the citizens about certain threats, and the town center has a mural with instructions on how to act and what to do as well as different codes that go from Green to Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Purple, and Black according to the threat level. 

It's impressive what magic and influence can achieve over a town in about a month- I mean, a lot of people left, but those who stayed are the ones who made the right decision! Outsiders are generally not really welcome unless they already know about the supernatural and aren't hunters, the town doesn't even care when they see a wolf running through the streets or a large bird with white feathers landing on the roof of houses, instead they found it pretty fascinating to tell the truth. Stiles obviously manipulated the ones who didn't like the supernatural and were bigoted- He kicked them out of town and banned them, registering their face and collecting a vial of their blood just in case they try to come back in 11 months once the world goes to shit! Sadly, the majority of the world is ignoring these changes, as if a veil is blocking their vision, they willingly ignore what is happening to their bodies and think nothing is happening.

That is magic itself adjusting their psyche slowly- They don't have a choice, either they accept the supernatural is real, or they accept it and get mad about it.

Or live in denial, like Scott.

"You do not speak of my family like that, Scott McCall." The large fist of stone that had punched Scott out of Stiles' house through the wall with unimaginable force simply pulled away back into the ground. "Peter Hale is the uncle and godfather of my children, you had months to come and talk to me, to get my forgiveness, and instantly you try to shift the blame on someone else!? When will you take responsibility for your own damn actions Scott!?" Stiles' hands slapped the asphalt, a wave of green roots pulled Scott towards Stiles, each root cracking and putting Scott's bones back in place as he healed: "Come back only when you have your head out of your own ass." Stiles felt something connecting him and Scott thin out before disappearing, their fragile pack bond gone.

Well, he still had a pack so he wouldn't go Feral, he only did not have a pack bond with Stiles anymore. And that? That hurt him, hurt him because he didn't even know that it was there in the first place, Stiles was sure it had disappeared weeks ago, but it seemed a part of him held onto Scott till now.

Stiles hates losing those he loves, specially the ones he spent so much time loving- Years of friendship with Scott thrown away because he refuses to face reality, he was capable of forgiving Allison who tried to kill Erica and Boyd (As well as Derek), and he even managed to get Gerard Argent the Bite even though Derek was unwilling. Stiles refused to forget what he did, his supposed best friend violated his beloved so much that it shattered his heart! Derek tries not to show, but it's obvious how sometimes he'll just ignore you when you spoke about giving the Bite to someone. Stiles knows Derek still has nightmares of that night, and Stiles will never forget that Scott was the reason for this, Scott, Deaton, and Gerard. 

He won't forget about that.

In lighter news- Peter, Chris, and John decided to also Mate in the Spring like their Alphas! Erica and Boyd also decided the same, as did Isaac and Danny? Wait, Jackson too!? When did they even become a thing!? "You were focused on magic and Derek, you didn't notice it and, well, we didn't want to distract you from the work you're doing!" Stiles smiled gently at Danny as he held Isaac's and Jackson's hands- He deserved to be loved! "You know what? I'm gonna get you a Mating gift- Something interesting to be used, maybe jewelry? Hey, that can be interesting! Enchanted jewelry that allows those who wear it to always know where the other is." Stiles got a new habit, well, not exactly a new hobby because he has been doing the same for years!

Speaking to himself is a sign that you're sane, okay? And well, even if he wasn't, no one here judges you if you're insane. 

Stiles managed so much in a single month that the whole town changed- He managed to cast [Banishment] on whatever was in that jar beneath the Nemeton that was corrupting the land, then he healed the Nemeton and in turn healed the land! [Plant Growth] was a really great spell to make the large tree grow- It was now about half of its massive size, and Stiles could stop healing it because now it needs to gather its strength again from the beginning. What he did changed Beacon Hills forever, the Nemeton was now healthy and so was the land, and in turn, so the people that live in said land! He was proud.

"Only if you get me it in silver, I want mine to be a ring." Stiles grinned at Danny's request- Soon the entire pack that was going to Mate (Danny+Jackson+Isaac, Erica+Boyd, John+Chris+Peter, and Derek+Stiles) wanted enchanted jewelry, which meant everyone wanted one. 

And that's how Stiles spent a lot of time enchanting jewelry- Oh, and cuddling with Derek, who was acting more and more spoiled each time. Possessive was his middle name and McHottie was his nickname because Stiles couldn't resist kissing him whenever he purred, it's adorable! (It's  not purring, Stiles.)

He can't wait for the final touches in the house, the Mating ceremonies (Since they'll all mate in the same week, so the party would last longer), and the things he has planned on doing- Magical technology is coming along well, Lydia has a wonderful mind to create things, she has created the first automaton too! A toaster with a low level of intelligence named Toast.

She carried him around everywhere because he was a weapon too.
