85 Chapter 80: Disgusting Couple

Being questioned by the beauty Tatsuya remained silent. The remaining students in the class sported confused looks.

Ichinose glaring at someone.

That was certainly new.

Kanzaki was also frowning hard, Tatsuya guessed that if he tried frowning more he might get permanent wrinkles.

Tatsuya stood up from his seat and towered over Ichinose. Kanzaki felt a pang of danger and came in front of her.

Ichinose's expression didn't change, "Please tell me it's a misunderstanding."

Maybe Ichinose felt it was wrong to accuse someone so suddenly so she changed her question.

"..."

But all she received was prolonged silence and an expressionless face. She couldn't perceive anything from him.

Lies or truth?

"What happened Ichinose-san?" Kushida came and acted as a saving grace for Ichinose, it was becoming awkward.

She didn't have definite proof of his actions so she couldn't continue to accuse him and Tatsuya himself was not saying anything.

"Shibata-kun didn't come to class today," Ichinose spoke after taking a deep breath. "Our teacher ended class early for us so Kanzaki-kun and I thought we'd check up on him. After all, Shibata-kun has never missed class till now."

"I see..." Kushida nodded, "But what does that have to do with Yamamoto-kun?" 

"I don't know," Ichinose answered, much to everyone's surprise.

"When Shibata-kun opened the door his complexion was deathly pale. His eyes were blood red and tears were staining his face."

"What!?"

"What happened Ichinose-san?"

"Is he alright?"

A few individuals in the class echoed.

Shibata was a kind and energetic individual, he got along with many people especially Hirata's group since they were both in the football club, they often hung out.

Hirata wasn't in class right now otherwise he might've also had a change of expression from Ichinose's expression.

"What— why would..." Kushida muttered in confusion. "Is he okay?!" She asked in concern.

Ichinose's expression turned dark and she shook her head, "I can't understand what happened. We tried talking to him but after a while, he burst into tears and kept repeating a single thing..."

Ichinose paused and turned to Tatsuya, Kanzaki's fists were clenched.

"I'm sorry Yamamoto-kun I'll drop out, I'm sorry Yamamoto-kun I'll drop out, I'm sorry Yamamoto-kun, I'll drop out."

A wave of confusion and horror passed through the class.

"So, please," Ichinose's eyes softened, while she was angry she was more concerned for her classmate, "Please tell me what you did."

"You're mistaken if you think I've done something." The ever-quiet Tatsuya suddenly spoke and shoved Ichinose aside before walking to the door, "Sometimes people mix up reality and dreams. Try talking to him again."

This was the only answer Ichinose feared.

Her fair hands turned into balls and Kushida patted her shoulder in comfort.

"What should I do... Kushida-san... What should I do now?" Ichinose felt stressed. She couldn't bear seeing her classmate like this.

"Could you tell me all the details, I might be able to help." Suddenly, Horikita who was standing by Tatsuya's side earlier murmured and Ichinose turned to her with confusion.

"No, it's fine, Horikita-san. I'll deal with it on my own." Ichinose's emotionless tone while talking to her made Horikita bewildered.

Ichinose turned around and started leaving. She was intending to ask for help but Horikita's initiative made her mood turn sour.

Kanzaki sighed and turned to the bewildered Horikita, "Both of you are disgusting."

Horikita: "???"

"Not only did you force the class to poverty you're also playing with people from other classes. Is this fun for you two? To mess with other people like this? Both of you were probably laughing together behind everyone's back." His face was full of contempt and he also turned around, leaving.

"A truly disgusting couple." His voice faded away and Horikita instantly connected all the dots.

Her expression twisted into one of fury but the class misunderstood her anger.

Kanzaki is probably going to suffer for insulting them like this.

For the class Horikita and Tatsuya were lovers and Horikita was probably going to complain about Kanzaki to Tatsuya.

Horikita's action of making them lose 300,000 points forcefully was a despicable act. Initially, they thought she was trying to save the class but it must've been an act.

Ayanokouji who was watching the class keenly noticed these details and was speechless.

Poor Horikita.

How could someone be this unlucky?

Horikita rushed out of the class knowing it was futile to say anything. They won't be convinced.

Being seen as someone's lover and being seen as a disgusting evil individual were two completey different things. If there were rumors of such things floating around then it wouldn't take long for it to reach her brother.

That was unacceptable!

Seeing Horikita leave the class was stunned. They didn't think she would be so decisive.

"Uhm ano- is Kanzaki-kun going to be okay?"

Kushida herself was stunned, "I... I don't know?"

She wasn't sure what was going to happen. She knew they weren't lovers and the class was misunderstanding but if Tatsuya found out what the class was thinking then he might actually go and harm Kanzaki!

She knew how much of a madman he was.

And if, after bad-mouthing Horikita, Kanzaki was somehow harmed...

Horikita would never be able to recover from this.

"Poor Horikita-san." 

But throughout the class the only one with a sour expression was Hasabe. She didn't like this but without Tatsuya's confirmation, she wouldn't go and be a loudmouth.

"Stop!" Horikita yelled and found herself on the rooftop of the building once again.

Why did this guy come to the rooftop every time we had to talk? What the hell is wrong with him?

"What is it now?" Tatsuya sounded annoyed but Horikita didn't care.

"Explain to the class right now. Tell them nothing is going on between us."

"What? Hahaha," Tatsuya chuckled and laughed at Horikita much to her annoyance.

"I hate you!" She hissed in anger and Tatsuya continued to laugh.

"I see I see..." He slowly wiped the tears from the rim of his eyes and sat down leaning against the wall, "I thought you wouldn't care about such rumours but I forgot about your brother."

"But that wouldn't make you come here so agitated and angry."

"What happened?"

Tatsuya spoke his concerns and looked at Horikita curiously.

"Why did you post that photo in the Group Chat? Did you not understand that I don't want to be in a relationship with you? Is it so hard to accept a denial? Did it hurt your pride?" Horikita sneered and burst into verbal insults.

"Not only does the class think I'm your girlfriend they're also thinking I've colluded with you to rob the class of their points. Not to mention they think I also know whatever you did to Shibata-kun. I can't accept this!"

Tatsuya's expression changed for a split second before returning to his usual calm facade.

"So you want me to clarify that nothing is going between us and that we were only talking on the bench that night?"

Horikita's eyes lit up and she nodded, "Yes!"

"No."

"Huh? Why!?" She demanded like a child and Tatsuya chuckled.

"Why should I? You're the one who cares about the rumours, not me. Also what proof do you have that I was the one who sent that image?"

"But it's obviously you!"

"Again, do you have any proof?"

"..."

Horikita trembled with anger and just as she was about to leave—

"Alright. I'll tell the class that we aren't a couple and that we were just talking that night. Ah also that you don't have anything to do with my plans."

"... Really?" Horikita paused and asked warily, not trusting him.

"On one condition."

Suddenly Tatsuya smiled softly and patted his leg.

"Sit on my lap for the entire lunch break."
