CHAPTER 6

[A/N: The main character is currently 15 years old, Akeno, Rias, and most of their friends with the exception of Koneko and Asia are all two years older, I won't say every character's age, but hopefully you understood what I meant. Issei and his friends will arrive at the school next year]

Soon two months passed in the blink of an eye, at this point both he and Yūto were being pestered by lovestruck girls every day, their daily martial arts training had become some sort of show for the girls, a few even kept bothering them to practice without shirts so that they could take a closer look at them.

Quite bold he had to admit, but he just ignored those girls, they were after all, only interested in their appearance and good grades. And this fact was further proved after their grades were published online for anyone to see, with Yūto and Tetsuya scoring perfect grades, their number of admirers practically doubled.

Tetsuya himself was quite surprised by this, he couldn't be called the most handsome of the guys out there, in the end, he could only attribute this development to his well-trained body, most of the girls that admired him must have taken a liking to his physical condition instead of his overall appearance.

"Hey Yūto, do you want to have a friendly match tomorrow?"

Yūto turned to him and apologetically smiled. "Sorry Tetsuya, I'll work full time during the holiday."

"Eh, is that right? Sorry, I didn't know."

"That's fine, but what about you? You invited me because you will have nothing to do during the holiday?"

"Sigh... straight to the point as always..." Tetsuya nodded. "My parents will be visiting my grandma at Akihabara and I will spend the week alone at home. Since the Dojo won't be open during the holiday I was hoping to have some company, guess I'll have to spend whatever free time I have with movies and manga..."

Tetsuya leaned his back on the chair and supported his head with both hands, his eyes looking at the ceiling as he thought about how to spend his time during the holiday.

"If you want company so much, why don't you invite Rias to a date?"

"What!?" Almost falling from the chair he covered Yūto's mouth with his hand and turned to look if someone heard what he said. Seeing that no one noticed he took off his hand and said. "Are you crazy Yūto! I told you once that she was beautiful and you keep putting me in such embarrassing situations all the time! I shouldn't have let that escape from my mouth..."

Tetsuya lowered his head, using the table to support it as tears fell from his eyes.

"Hahaha, c'mon, don't be like that, you're too shy, you know? I'm sure Rias would like to go out with you, besides, the worst you can get is a no, it isn't the end of the world."

"But... what if she doesn't like me?" Tetsuya couldn't help but cover his face with both hands, just the thought of going out on a date with her made his heart threatened to stop, he didn't know if he was prepared for this, not even in his previous life he could gather the courage to confess to the girl he loved.

"Well, there is only one way to find out..." Yūto scratched his cheek, as he thought of something. "If you want I can tell her that you want to speak with her, then you can ask her to a date in private, avoiding embarrassing yourself if that's what you're afraid of."

"I'm not really worried about being embarrassed, I just don't know what I'll do if she rejects me..."

As he spoke, the alarm of the school went off, signaling the end of the class.

"Alright, everyone, remember your homework for the next class, I want a thousand words essay about what you did during the holiday, and remember you have to use both Kanji, Katakana, and hiragana and also write a version of it in English."

"Ugh..." Everyone groaned as they heard their teacher's words, it felt like their holiday was ruined before it even started.

As Tetsuya and Yūto went down the stairs leading to the ground floor, they happened to see Rias Gremory sitting alone on a bench, humming a song with her eyes closed.

Tetsuya gulped as Yūto patted his shoulder. "It's now or never, I'll see you next week, good luck champion, I believe in you." patting his shoulder once more, Yūto left.

"...Eh!?" Tetsuya extended his hand to stop Yūto but when he reacted the guy had already left, now there was only him and Rias... if you pretended that the other students did not exist of course.

Sighing, Tetsuya looked at Rias for a moment, determination flashed in his eyes and he decided to try.

Approaching Rias, he sat down next to her on the bench.

Feeling his presence, Rias opened her eyes and looked at Tetsuya with a small smile on her face. Seeing her pink lips and the blue eyes, Tetsuya was charmed for a moment, no words could leave his mouth.

Fortunately for him, Rias took the initiative. "Tao Tetsuya-Kun, I heard a lot about you from Yūto-Kun."

"Ah, did you? Cough... I mean, of course... huh... what did he say about me?"

Rias laughed at his actions and her beautiful smile became bigger. "Don't worry he only said good things about you." Her eyes swept him and she approached his face.

Seeing her getting closer and closer, Tetsuya gulped and completely froze. 'This... could it be that she... she wants to kiss me!?'

As his thoughts ran wild, she sniffed him once and squeezed his biceps. Seeing his shock she laughed again. "Pfft... You know, you smell really well for a boy that practices exercises every day during the break. Your smell reminds me of lavender, is it a perfume?"

"Ah... oh! Hahaha, yes I always use it after taking a quick bath in the gym's shower." Seeing her looking at him, Tetsuya noticed that he was only buying some time, he would have to ask sooner or later. "Listen... Rias... I..."

"What is it?" she tilted her head slightly to the side as she asked.

"I was thinking if... if you would like to have a date with me tomorrow..."

[A/N: I know, I know, I said they wouldn't be dating that soon, but hear me out, they will go out, they will become closer, but they won't be a couple yet. They will just have some innocent fun, know each other better, and stuff like that. No R-18 things yet.]
