29 Chapter 27. Status Screen

"Robin, did you get it?" Alex asked with a small smile, sitting on the figurehead of the ship. In front of him was another ship from which some members had gone into the sea to look for that devastated ship.

"Mmm." Robin nodded with her usual calm expression. "I have given that Eternal Pose to Nami. Though why are we even going to that town anyway? Isn't it better to just go to Sky island?"

"I need to meet someone there…." Alex replied with a serious expression. "He is someone very important to my plans." He mumbled under his breath with a strange look in his eyes.

"I see…." She nodded her head and began to walk inside the ship, wishing to read her book once again.

He kept looking at the ship in front of him for some time before he jumped down and walked toward the sofa. It will take some time for them to reach Jaya island so he decided to take a small nap.

He then woke up after half an hour, feeling very refreshed. Standing up, he walked toward the figurehead to see the island that was now getting very close.

The girls who were inside the living room began to come out one by one and then stood beside him, looking at the island with curious expressions.

"Who are we looking for today?" Nami asked curiously as the last time he went to find someone, it turned out to be a Princess. She wondered who he would find this time.

"Not us, only I'm looking for them. You all have different things to do." Alex chuckled slightly and spoke in a calm tone. He turned to look at them and then spoke in an amused tone. "You all need to get rid of the pirates that are inside the town. I want this town to be mine."

"I can do this alone, Alex. I don't even need anyone's help." Kaya spoke with a serious expression, glancing at the other girls with a smirk on her face.

"I know that you can do that alone, however, we don't have a week to wait for you to conquer this small town." Nojiko instantly replied with a mocking smile causing the other girls to giggle in amusement.

"I should be the one to test those guys' skills, everyone," Tashigi said with a calm look, rubbing the sheath of her sword. "I need to test my sword skills against someone. They would be the perfect training dummies."

"Maybe I should head alone? I can snap off everyone's heads at the same time…." Saying that Robin began to giggle while covering her mouth with her palm.

"You all can go since I have something else to do in the town," Nami said with a smile, her eyes turned into a belly sign, much to everyone's amusement.

While they were talking among themselves, the ship finally reached the shore of the island. Nami hurriedly docked the ship before jumping on the ground and running straight to the town that was in front of her.

The girls jumped down from the ship one by one and began to walk toward the town, ready to test their new abilities against them.

Alex looked at them for some time before he used his Observation Haki to scan the entire island and found the location of those 5 people that he wanted to meet today.

"Just wait for me….." He mumbled under his breath and then began to fly toward the group who were on the other side of the island.

On the other side of the island, 5 people could be seen walking forward to the Mock town.

"Wiiihahaha, Captain, who are you going to capture now that he has become one of the Warlords?" Jesus Burgess, a broad-chested man asked with a smile on his face.

"Zehaha, how about going after that Straw hat guy? I'm sure that Red-Haired will get mad at me once again….." Saying that Teach or better known as Blackbeard laughed out loud.

The other three people didn't care about the target, all they cared about was how they were going to hunt their prey.

"Hmmm?" One of them was wearing a rectangular black glass on his left eye. He suddenly turned to look at the sky with narrowed eyes, detecting a lot of small things that were heading their way.

"Someone is attacking us!" He simply said those words and began to shoot at the incoming projectiles without missing any one of them.

The others instantly began to look around themselves, ready for a surprise attack however they couldn't find anyone near them.

While they were searching for the enemy, Van Augur who was shooting those projectiles noticed something strange. No matter how many times he shot them, they kept incoming and were always in more numbers than before which was why he couldn't pay much attention to it as he needed to keep shooting while the other crew members would be searching for the enemy.

Blackbeard, who was looking for the enemy with his crew members, felt something was wrong. He couldn't tell why he was feeling like this all of a sudden however, he knew that if he didn't get out of this island today, he might die here which was something he didn't want to happen yet.

His intuition proved true when he suddenly felt someone appearing behind him. He instinctively turned to look behind him which turned out to be his biggest mistake.

The moment he turned back, he was able to recognize the person who was attacking him; however, before he could even say anything, he was beheaded by the sea-stone sword that appeared behind him at a very fast speed, not giving him any time to even react.

"Plunder." Even though he gave the command, he didn't have the time to check it out since he now has attracted the attention of the other members. Though he wasn't worried much about it since he got rid of the most troublesome guy from this crew. It proved to be a very good idea to keep that sniper busy as he might have noticed him appearing behind Blackbeard all of a sudden.

He quickly took out one of the bottles from the system storage that he had prepared in the Drum Kingdom and crushed it in his hand and then took out another bottle. From the destroyed bottle, gas began to spread around which was eventually breathed in by everyone though Alex opened the other bottle and ate one of the pills that were inside it.

In less than 5 seconds, they all felt something wrong with their bodies. They couldn't move any part of their body, no matter how much they tried and they also felt their brain getting sluggish gradually for some reason.

Alex stopped the projectiles and walked in front of them. "How does it feel after breathing in my special creation? The gas disconnects the mind from the other body parts and then slowly affects the mind until it stops working."He explained with a smile on his face, looking at everyone's frightened expression. "I have prepared this gas for the people who stand at the top of this world. Though I will make sure to keep upgrading their versions." Saying that he walked toward a guy who was wearing a classic black top hat and had a red wooden cane in his hands.

He called back the sea-stone sword before beheading the guy in a single attack with an emotionless face.

"Plunder." He mumbled under his breath and then began to use his Hypnosis skill on the other members of Blackbeard and then gave them the antidote pill for that gas. He wasn't willing to kill them as they were quite important to his plans compared to Blackbeard and Laffitte.

After he was done with it, he began to explain certain things to Jesus Burgess who was now going to use the name of Blackbeard and act like the captain of this crew.

When he was done with it, he handed him the devil fruit that he just obtained and told him to use it wisely as he was still very weak compared to the standard of the New World. He handed him the Haki training manual and then told him to find the island called Banaro near Water 7.

Though before they could leave the island, Alex changed his mind and sent them to train on the training island so they could all grow stronger quickly while Jesus Burgess could learn to use his devil fruit power proficiently.

Now that he was alone on this part of the island, he decided to check the system notifications which kept rising many times.

He even obtained two very good devil fruits though he already gave away one to Jesus Burgess. The other devil fruit was something that he could give to one of his future crew members.

After reading those notifications once again, he decided to check his status as it's been a long time since he last checked it out. "Status." He mumbled calmly and then looked at the holographic display that appeared in front of him.

He attentively looked at his status and then nodded with a satisfied expression. His eyes fell on the special body level, he clicked it with a curious look even though he already guessed what he might discover.

Though after thinking about it for some time, he felt that it was a terrible idea. Burgess still needed some capable people under him to take that position after all.

Shaking his head, he picked up Blackbeard's head and put it inside the system storage. As for the other bodies, he used his power to make the ground consume them inside of it.

Since his purpose of coming here was done, he decided to visit the castle of Mont Blanc Cricket. He was going to offer them a chance to see the city of gold and if they accept it, he will take them under him, however, if they deny then he'll just throw them out of the island.

He wasn't willing to use his Hypnosis on people like these who were quite useless to him. The only reason, he was even giving them a chance was cause he needed some more labourers who could help him to establish his Empire in the least time.
