10 I will protect you

Few months had passed, we are in a secret, forbidden relationship. No one else knew except for us.

As we went to work as usual, we were greeted many people. I bowed too out of respect.

When we went to the CEO's office. Cheng asked me to stay with him while he talked to another important person. I alway can't seem to remember their names too well.

After we were finished, Cheng took me out for lunch. We held each other's hand and everyone was mesmerized by my boyfriend. Of course they should, he's the most handsome CEO in the world.

There were many people taking photographs of us and we just smiled.

After we finished, we happily went out when suddenly a car crashed into us. Cheng passed out while he protected me.

"Cheng! Cheng! Someone call the ambulance!! He needs help!" As I leaned my ear against his mouth, I hear no breathing so I started cpr on him until medics arrived.

As we rushed to the hospital, I called Cheng's assistant that Cheng got into an accident because he protected me. I was suppose to protect him. I held his hand in hopes he will wake soon.

As we arrived, he immediately went to emergency room. While I waited worriedĺy, Cheng's assistant and my parents came.

"Mom! Dad! I've disappointed you. I didn't protect him well enough. I deserve to be punished." I said in a rush.

"Why should we punish you? Cheng was the one who wanted to protect you. You are special to him. Just wait until he wakes up. He will be glad to have you by his side when we wakes up." My mom said.

"I'm sorry.." I said tearfully.

After the surgery was done, the surgeons told us there was brain damage and he could experience paralysis. They weren't sure how long the paralysis will last. We have to wait until he wakes up since he is in a coma which was medically induced.

I stayed in the private room watching over Cheng, the nurse was kind enough to provide me a bed. I said thank you to them.

When Cheng and I are alone im the room, I started to talk to Cheng in hopes he can at least hear.

"Cheng, I am sorry. I didn't protect you properly. I promise after you wake up, I will protect you with my life."

Suddenly I felt like vomitting, I ran to the bathroom but nothing came out. I went out of the room quietly and my mom was sitting outside.

"Mom, I'm feeling nauseous all of a sudden." I said.

"Are you sick? You have no fever. When was your last period?" She asked.

"It skipped a month." I said.

My mom hugged me and we both went to the OB/GYN section of the hospital for a test.

After waiting, I was notified i am 1 month pregnant with Cheng's child. The doctor told me the baby is forming nicely. I should be back for check up in 2 weeks. I said thanks to the doctor as we left. My mom was proud of me and said we should get married after Cheng wakes up. I cannot wait to tell him the good news.
