What’s an Omegaverse?

*Omegaverse: An universe where exists a secondary sex and there is a further category division from the genders male and female. In short, because people have two sexes, males can also get pregnant and females can also impregnate.

**An omegaverse differs according to the author so after having read plenty of omegaverse mangas, I'm going to use what better fits to the story I want to write.

*Aside from male and female there's a further distinction: Alphas, Betas and Omegas.

**In this omegaverse all kinds can get pregnant. (I have read some omegaverses where only male omegas can also get pregnant T_T, they leave my poor baby male Betas aside.)

ALPHAS (A):

-Pretty good looks and smart. Born to be leaders.

-Occupy 20% of the population.

-High sperm count and a knot in their little brother.

-Have random heats (estrus).

-Produce alpha pheromones that can be perceived and affect omegas; can perceive and be affected by omega pheromones.

-They are at the top of the Hierarchy because of the said above.

BETAS (B):

-Average looks and brains; Aka the normal hardworking people. There are always exceptions as many Betas had been able to climb to the top, though.

-Occupy the 70% of the population.

-Don't have heats but they can get turned on; however they can keep control. Keeping control is harder when an Omega has its heat period.

-Don't produce any distinctive pheromone.

-In the middle of the Hierarchy.

OMEGAS (O):

-Pretty looks and not many brains* (It is said so but there are many pretty intelligent)

-Occupy the 10% of the population.

-Have a seven days period of heat per month (they can't control it and need to take medication; however, medication sometimes doesn't work).

-Produce omega pheromones which are stronger and can drive crazy alphas and betas when they are in heat, causing cases where Omegas get raped (Betas have better control so they usually don't go that crazy).

-They are at the lowest in hierarchy because their uncontrollable heats that makes them unable to do anything in that period which is why they can't get proper jobs. That's also because they can affect the surrounding alphas and betas and create a commotion.

-Their sperm count is low which makes them practically unable to impregnate someone; however, they are highly reproductive when they are in their heat period which is why there are also birth control pills.

*Alphas and Omegas can share a "special bond". When an Omega is in heat, if they are bitten in the nape by an Alpha they will get marked and became the pair of that Alpha. Even so, more than a pair, they will be practically owned by that Alpha as the marked Omega will only be able of doing it with the said Alpha but the Alpha will be able of doing it with others. (In some omegaverses both [A&O] are affected by the bond but in this one only Omegas; my poor Omegas T_T)

*The Bite Mark: Thought it will practically made an Omega the property of an Alpha, Omegas yearn for it as their increased omega pheromones in their uncontrollable period of heat will only affect the Alpha who bite them, making them have an easier life; and usually that Alpha tends to take "care" of them.
