1 Prologue- W can only drag his soul back into his body

Tired. Dead tired.

W heard the ring on his company phone and couldn't help but want to grab it and chuck it into the hundreds of million universes. Breathing in deeply, he pasted on a smile and took the call.

"Transmigration bureau, this is W how may I help you?"

"Hello? Is this the transmigration bureau?"

"Yes, this is the transmigration bureau. How may I help you?"

"This is the transmigration bureau?"

W felt a twitch in his right eye. Clenching his teeth into a smile, he could only reply with a yes.

Do not-I repeat-do not lose your temper!

"Yes, this is the transmigration bureau. Are you here to summon a person into your world as a saintess or bring someone to level up your world's infrastructure? The transmigration bureau is at your service."

"Ah! I'm sorry. This is the first time the spell worked in over a thousand years. This is the world of Avaria."

"I'm sorry, but do you have your world's ID? Or has it been lost through time?"

W heard a shuffling of some sorts and a person shushing another. W rubbed his temples.

"It's here! ID R-087."

"Alright, please wait a moment." W scanned the ID and surmised this was a D-Grade world. It had some magical elements but was overt in nature. They believed in the God of Nature Elvia, who was probably the person on the line.

"I've received the updated information regarding your world. What would you like to have transmigrated and please send the formal paperwork via this line."

"The world of Avaria is in danger!"

They all are.

"The magic is dying in Avaria and we need someone who can supply or find a new way to supplement magic. My powers have waned for a while and need a successor. Please send over someone who has high potential to have magic!"

W rolled his eyes. Gods these days think they can just do what they want nowadays.

"Let me see what I can do." W happily put down the phone and pinched the slope of his nose. Goddamn world builders and their horrible ethics.

W tapped a few keys on the large screen and a giant 3 dimensional image surfaced of the lower planes. The lower planes were exactly as described. These lower planes were the largest consolidated group of worlds that had 'potential' protagonists. These little nuggets grew up in these lower planes in order to get life experience before being shipped off to a higher graded world.

Those magnificent stories of being isekai'd to a fantasy world as a hero in those Japanese light novels do happen thanks to W's help. That romance where a system is bonded to an unsuspecting beauty with the IQ of a cabbage is also not faked. Even being reborn in your own world in order to change the fate of your life is also dealt with by W.

W was the defacto 'underpaid' worker slave for the giant expanse of transmigration itself. Him and a slurry of other underpaid worker ants were all in this big gigantic corporation known as the Transmigration Bureau of Worldly Bonds. And W was the best at his job.

No one knows how long he had been here, working his butt off, to the point where every aspect of a transmigration from the infancy of the protagonist to the world it's going to, even the system it will bind with, is all the responsibility of good ole W here. Before his promotion, he was just a slacker dealing with low level complaints and kicking out rogue transmigrator's every now and then.

Back then it was more fun. Now he was a desk jockey, computing the 'fate' of these poor transmigrators so that these higher worlds could 'be saved'. W couldn't care less about the ending of a world, but Mr. Lord God who ruled the entire expanse of time and space cared a lot.

W scanned the lower level plane, his tingling senses automatically going to the most popular lower plane: Earth.

"Tsk. I don't know how and I don't know why, but these are always the most suitable." W zoomed in on a tiny home in the countryside of Japan. Seeing the quiet yet pretty little house, it reminded W of that other home a few millennium ago.

He moved his gaze to the living room where a couple and a baby were cuddling in each other's arms, cooing at the baby. W looked at the baby's stats and sighed.

It had a magical affinity of 100% As long as the baby breathed in the magic in the air, it would gain experience. Looking at the timeline, he had to ponder what timeframe would be best. Estimating the next 50 years of industry, economics and politics, the best time to send the child would be in 16 years.

W clicked a golden button and a small golden thread weaved into the lower plane and wrapped itself around the child's wrist.

Once W finished, he got back on the phone.

"I have a scheduled transmigration via truck that can be ready to send it over in the next 16 years. The person is still a child and needs to grow a little more. We will send a message to the oracle in your world that this person will come on a specific day. Have the oracle spread the edict that black hair and black eyes are considered to be a heavenly sign."

"Yessir! Thank you! Um…I'm sorry to ask for more but…can you also send another person to come with her? We need them in case the REAL one dies."

W smiled darkly, but his voice dripped with honey as he replied.

"I can send another person, but I will only send one that has the same amount of magical efficiency as the first one. It will be YOU who decides which one will become the next goddess. However, the price of this is much higher. Would you like to do this?"

The line went silent for a moment as the goddess talked to someone else. W could hear brief complaints and a few curse words before the goddess on the other line spoke.

"N-no. No problem! Just the one is fine! The price is still the same as a thousand years ago right?"

W laughed sarcastically.

"Get with the times, Goddess Elvia. Twenty million suns a thousand years ago is now 400 million today. I expect to see the FULL. PAID. AMOUNT. in the account by this time next year. If not, you will be excommunicated from the Lord God and the transmigration bureau. Have a good day."

W slammed the phone down and breathed heavily. He sagged back into his massaging chair and fanned his face.

Stupid worlds and their stupid lack of ethics.

W pinched the large screen and looked at the cute adorable baby. The Goddess Elvia had thought the person with the most magical affinity would be a woman. Staring into the bright black eyes, W laughed sardonically.

The child they desperately needed was a cute button of a boy who would walk the path of a 'goddess'. W could smell the irony.

W clicked on a smaller mainframe and set up a few things. The golden finger booster, the lucky necklace, the harem builder, adding them to the carts of attributes to send with the boy. And finally, he rewrote a game system style screen that bonded with W's that could show off his stats and abilities. The young 'goddess' would use it to power up and change.

Once everything was set up, W had nothing else to do. He stretched his arms outwards, inhaling deeply. His small office was in the middle of time and space, going outside that door would lead to an unending staircase of other doors filled to the brim with people like himself.

He had around 6 clients at the moment, this one being the sixth. The other five were pending since the fates of the higher worlds did not need them as of yet.

Looking at the times of each world, he had to be sure they would align perfectly. A year in one world might not be the same in another. W turned on a lone screen, his gaze on a man in his early 20's. He was of Asian descent with light brown irises and a sunny smile.

This little nugget would go to transmigrate into an interstellar world and be transformed into a cat because cats died out or something. Out of all of the things the interstellar age wanted: they wanted cats.

This person was scheduled to die by accidentally being pushed onto an oncoming train. He would be dead in less than a second, painless. W made sure that every person in his custody would end their lives in the lower planes as painlessly as possible.

To those that transmigrated if they had an incurable disease, then he simply downgraded their pain level to the max. After all, going to the worlds was not up to him, but he always checked up on the thousands upon thousands of people he sent out.

W filed the boy to be taken in 30 minutes (3 days in his world) and moved on to his gigantic file of pending and official projects.

That silly young girl from China became the Queen Dowager, the cute German loli successfully created a cure to the zombie apocalypse, the skinny Indian boy from the slums was now the Maharajah of his previous generations empire. Those faces that looked regal, robust or healthy was all that made his job worth it.

W couldn't help but smile happily as each of his projects lived happy lives. Since his promotion to transmigration assembler, he has been waiting to reach the quota in order to access retirement. If he was employee of the year for 1,000 years with a 100% success rate, he could wave goodbye to this shitty hellhole.

W counted the overall satisfaction points and smiled brightly at the giant golden 99.98%

He was about to close the screen when he spotted another file.

It was dated over a few millenniums now, and hadn't been updated. Surprised, W clicked on it.

In an instant, a large batch of codes swirled out, shoving everything into W's face. His skin paled as his eyes roved the many many MANY transmigrations being done without his supervision.

This person…his soul had reached almost GOD LEVEL!!

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

How?? W scanned everything. He was one of W's first transmigrator's from earth named Wu Xin.

He was sent into a fantasy interstellar world filled with dragons. He was supposed to go there and be the dragon king. W especially gave him a golden finger to open up space portals.

It had passed assessment and wasn't seen as a threat. Not only did this mother f***ker use this gold finger, but he has been using space portals as a transmigration tool! The dragons of that world were parasitic in nature and could jump from host to host, integrating their bodies into dead beings and taking over their lives.

Over 2,000 years of jumping from a C-grade world, to lower planes, to upper planes, and even to the Boundary.

If he jumped to any more, he would be able to enter the Time dimension realm where the Lord God lived!

How could this have gone on for so long???

W looked at the sparkly 99.98% drop dramatically!

Screeeecccchhhhhh!!!!

W panicked as he clicked button after button, but he could not disengage the gold finger. Wu Xin had become too strong! Hot damn!

W tried to cancel the bond between him and Wu Xin, but like sticky glue, it clung to him, wrapping its disgusting code around him!

The dwindling satisfaction rate kept plummeting. Kept. Going. Down.

Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!

W trembled as the percentage stopped at a measly...4% Clutching his face, he could only curse himself. That bastard Wu Xin had transmigrated to so many worlds and messed them all up! Fuck!!

W had no choice but to contact the higher ups. Head hanging low, he wanted to cry!

This was a rookie mistake that bit him in the ass! The highest punishment he would have was soul extermination, or even be sent to the worst place imaginable.

Pet duty.
