This information may vary depending on the story, but this is the most common definitions.

What Omegaverse is

Omegaverse is a fictional kink trope where all humans are assigned a secondary gender in addition to their first gender. The three subgenders are Alpha, Beta, and Omega, or their rank, as some may call it. You usually present your secondary gender at the age of 4 up to 16, depending on the story. Omegas go into heat for the first time when they present, or when they turn a certain age for some stories, and Alphas go into rut. The terms originate from animalistic hierarchy, like wolves for example, and will depend their role in society.

Alpha

Alphas are seen as the strongest out of the three subgenders, and are the most dominant. They tend to be aggressive and territorial, along with being incredibly overprotective of their mates. They tend to have thicker and muskier scents, a natural warning for other Alphas to stay away, especially from their Omega. They go into a period of time called a rut, Omegas and Betas don't. Female Alphas can not only get pregnant, but can also impregnate. Alphas make up about twenty five percent of the population. Alphas will also make a gentle sound to calm or attract Omegas, called a croon. They'll also growl, if feeling threatened or to make an Omega submit.

Beta

Betas are basically like normal humans, they don't have anything very special about them. Their scents tend to be more neutral and not very strong or potent. They don't go through heats or rut, and they usually work in very public places due to it. Betas make up roughly fifty percent of the population, being more common than the other two secondary genders.

Omega

Omegas are the most submissive of the three and tend to be seen as the "lowest" Or the "weakest" Out of them. Their scents are usually sweet and enticing, unlike Alphas and Betas. They're often considered very motherly and nurturing. Male Omegas can get pregnant if by an Alpha, but can rarely impregnate unless they're with a female beta or Omega. They make up just about twenty five percent of the population, only five percent of that being male Omegas. Omegas make a purr like noise when content, comfortable, etc, especially when in their nest or with their Alpha. Omegas also have a howl, which is used to attract Alphas when in heat, or to entice their mate.

Heat

Heat is a period of time in which an Omega goes through for roughly a week per month, or three to seven days. Again, the times could change depending on the story, but that's the most common times. During this time, their mind is clouded with lust and the need to mate, as well as the strong crave for an Alpha to get them pregnant. The need to nest is incredibly strong during this time, and they can get very territorial and aggressive if someone invades their nest. It's common for an Omega to attack if they feel that someone is trying to invade. This time can be very painful, and if they don't get knotted, the cramps only worsen. An Omega's neck glands swell during this time, producing their scents with more potency and emitting it in mass amounts, their pheromones are stronger because of the the mass production.

Rut

Rut is a period of time in which Alphas experience for roughly three to five days every few months. They crave sexual intercourse and to mate and mark an Omega, as well as get them pregnant. The only thing they're really able to think about is knotting an Omega and marking them, in hopes of also having them bear their pups. This time can be very painful if they do not mate. Alphas can be sent into a rut if they're around an Omega in heat. They'll constantly try to mate their partner during this time until they eventually fall asleep, as their lust and craving is insatiable. However, near the end they can mostly act normal.

Marking

Only Alphas can initiate a mark, and it's pretty much a claim on an Omega, showing that the said Omega is their mate. They'll bite down on an Omega's scent gland, marking them as their partner. Only then can an Omega mark their Alpha back. Marks can be removed if one partner dies or by breaking the bond by mating with someone else.

Mating

Mating is sexual intercourse, but is not the same as bonding. Mating is usually done with mated partners, but doesn't have to be.

Bonding

Bonding is similar to mating, but it's much different. When bonding, the Alpha will mark an Omega as their mate, then proceed to seel the bond by knotting the Omega. Bonding can be done more than once with a mated pair, but times after the first do not have to include marking, though it can by remarking the Omega.

Knot(ing)

A knot is basically a bubble that forms at the base of an Alpha's cock, which swells up to about the size of a fist right before they cum. It locks them inside of their partner for about ten minutes or more depending on the person, increasing their chances of pregnancy by making it where no cum can leak out after sex.

Slick

Slick is a natural lubricant produced by Omegas to make it easier for their Alpha to enter them.

Scent Glands

Scent glands are placed in the crook of a person's neck and on their wrists. It's where their pheromones are produced from and where an Alpha can mark an Omega, though in some stories the wrist glands can't be marked like the neck ones can. Scent glands are also placed throughout a person's body, but the main two are the most potent.

Suppressants

Suppressants are pills or injections that will suppress, or completely stop, the effects of heats. Omegas take them so that they can still go to school or work, but they have to stop taking them every three months to have a natural heat, or the consequences can be dire. Alphas have rut suppressants that basically do the same.

Nesting

Nesting is activity that Omegas do to feel comfortable, they'll make several nests around their home, and they'll do it a lot when in heat or pregnant. Being in their nest helps them calm down and nesting helps relieve stress. They tend to do it subconsciously, often not even realizing that they did so until someone points it out. They'll take clothes and blankets with their mate, their family, and even their friend's scent on it to put in their nest, being comforted by their scents. They'll get aggressive if someone tries to enter without their permission, as it's their personal space.

A/B/O Body types - Now regarding body types it varies

widely from skinny, very masculine, and curvy. But it also depends on the hybrids type as well. I will explain this a little bit in detail when we reach the hybrid types. But let's get the common A/B/O body types out there. Alphas have more lanky and masculine frames/bodies, this due to their very high testosterone's level allowing high muscle mass. Of course, Alphas don't look like they are roids of course so don't worry! Some even are skinny so you have that option. Omegas have smaller and sometimes masculine frames, the reason is due to the low testosterone level they carry, but it is of course slightly higher in males then females. The reason for this is so the omegas maternal instincts are not overruled by the effects that come with high testosterone. Betas, Gammas, and Deltas are a tricky case they can have all body types so I guess they are the lucky ones you could say that are in between this scale.
