80. Eduardo Finds Out

"It has been quite an eventful day."

Mathias sighs deep as he says this, fixing his gold waistcoat and its shiny surface glitters against the light of the sun with a blinding reflection. I squint my eyes, turning away from the bright surface. The tea party has come to an end and nothing else had happened apart from the fact that Elian and Eduardo almost got into a fistfight by the end of the party. Nothing remarkable happened at the party except for exchanging gossip and Mathias' conceiving announcement. Most of the guests have departed and the pavilion was almost as good as empty now save for a few who are still congratulating Sofia on the edge of the pavilion as Mathias accompanies us at our table. Eduardo has still hung around for some reason despite the fact that Elian is as good as a German Shepherd guard dog beside me, snarling when Eduardo comes a little too close.
