1 Alfie McBride

McBride.

That's a name known throughout the neighborhood.

Not because the name has anything to do with famous stars or artists but because of a young boy.

This boy was a bit of a badboy in these parts, of course that is if you have problems with him.

But that is mostly for the young ones in the neighborhood.

The adults on the other hand was fond of the young McBride boy.

Elders around the neighborhood always have it easy being helped by the boy.

And the boy was willing enough to help other adults with small tasks and favors.

Not only do they like him because of his connection with the kids.

They like that he protects their kids any kids of small problems like bullies.

But it wasn't always like that for everyone.

Because the young McBride was the famous bully in the neighborhood first before being the young friendly kid.

By the time the young McBride could stand talk and went to school, there would be small scuffles between the neighborhood kids.

The elementary school kids would always go home and cry about the great bully McBride.

Parents would go to school reporting about the young bully.

But what they found was that most of the boys in school have been victims of the McBride kid.

Even a few girls cried from the verbal abuse the boy would do.

As it went like this for too long the parents told the elementary school staff to handle this.

With that the McBride family and all the young victims gathered, all attention was at the McBride family.

Yet what they did not expect was that their kids were the bullies instead.

This made the kids parents laugh considering how stupid that sounded, because there was a common knowledge that was known throughout school and the neighbor.

Alfie McBride was a bully.

That was what was in all the parents knew in their heads, but other kids started testifying about how the young Alfie McBride saved them from the real bullies, the one believed to be the victims.

No parents believed this, as no matter what situation a parent would always believe their kids are innocent, and demanded justice.

There were three sides at that time, the parents, the school staff, and the true victims along with the McBride family.

The parents weren't backing down until some of the teachers stepped in telling their side of the stories.

It was then that everything cleared up, Alfie McBride was not the bully, but what they did not know was that Alfie actually loved fighting and used the bullies as punching bags.

But that was years before now, now the kids in the neighborhood befriended and sided with Alfie.

Because that was the only way not to stand in his way, and to be protected from bullies.

That was how Alfie made more than 50 group of kids in the neighborhood as a group of friends and team.

Alfie also took the time to nicely apologize to the adults that day even though he was just protecting the weaker kids.

Alfie McBride is now 9 years old and in 4th grade.

Nowadays he uses half the time to at least have a nice childhood, the other half of his time is used learn as much as he can and do simple exercises.

The exercise and learning was something he does regularly ever since he could walk and talk.

While the other time is to play with friends, to all the kids, they saw Alfie as the leader.

Alfie was not only smart but also strong, he was usually the one to protect his young friends from bullies.

But if it's someone he can't handle that has numbers or is much older, then Alfie would gather up every single one of his 50 plus friends and would turn the tables.

And Alfie was loving every single one of those seconds, he could have more reasons to fight, and the other kids looking up to him as a sort of leader was also great.

For his smart side Alfie would make plans for all the kids, he made his little group a little organized and useful to the neighborhood.

From up to paperboys riding bikes across the neighborhood delivering newspaper or standing in public places selling newspapers.

Other than that the most they did was help the neighbors with small tasks for small coins.

That was how they made their little rascal incomes.

If they get more than one coin then they will take one while the rest is put in a drum container buried in secret.

To Alfie he didn't care about the money as it was too little to do anything for him, but the other kids they loved it, it was just something else Alfie made for the young group to do as a team.

There was no particular goal in collecting them.

There was a few kids Alfie considered the closest out of everyone.

Billy, Rose, Timmy, Rolo, and Jonjon.

Billy is a black kid that was a bit wild and giddy.

Rose was a tomboy with red hair and was the common sense of the group.

She is the reason they don't always do dumb stuff.

Timmy Is a skinny kid with brown hair and glasses, smartest after Alfie, but dumb in another sense.

Rolo was the quiet one but was always doing cool stuff.

Jonjon was actually the youngest of the group, always picking his nose and looked lost.

They met in kindergarten before becoming friends in 2nd grade.

They were somewhat group leaders in the neighborhood.

In front of a barber shop with his black hair and brown eyes Alfie stood there and with his eyes wide looking at the newspaper on his hands.

Alfie was on a particular page:

[Upcoming Young Genius: Howard Stark]

And a small picture showed a kid that seemed to be only a few years older than him, he looked like a young Tony Stark.

And that was when Alfie knew, his life won't be normal.

"I'm in the Marvel universe..." Alfie muttered as he looked up at the sky with many thoughts per second.

"Damn it McBride!! Stop taking my damn papers!!" And old chubby man with a bald top came out of the barber shop before ripping the newspaper off of Alfie's hands.

But Alfie didn't react and was just lost in thought.

Plus the old man didn't mean any harm, though he sounded mad he knew Alfie and Alfie would always come to read his newspapers whenever he feels it.

"Alfie!! Alfie come up, we're going to the park, we're gonna play some ball come on!!" A young man ran across the street with another chubby kid up to Alfie.

But Alfie was still lost in thought.

"Alfie!! Hey!!" The boy shook him waking him from his stupor.

"Huh? Oh Billy." Alfie said in realization.

"Are you okay?" Billy asked innocently.

"Uhh yeah I just...I'm gonna go home-"

"What?! But why?" Billy interrupted and asked sadly.

"I- I'm just not feeling well, just tell the others I won't be playing today." Alfie said.

"But-..." young Billy stopped as Alfie was already gone, grabbing his bike and riding away.

"This can't be right?! How can this be?! After that, it was already shocking, but then that and that is already torturing me and all, AND NOW THIS?! What is going on?!!" Alfie muttered as he rode home.

He knew about Marvel, he knew about who Howard Stark is, or who he is going to be.

He knew because he has seen these things already, in another life.

Yes, he reincarnated to this current life now.

When he was born, to say he was surprised was an understatement, the newborn was freaking out in his mind.

After that whole ordeal in the hospital he met his parents and also calmed down a little, but that didn't last long.

Because when his baby mind realized the timeline he was in he freaked out again.

He was born in The Bronx, but his birth year is what cracked his brain.

April 15, 1918.

19 FUCKING 18!! Who the fuck reincarnates in the 1918's?!

That was the big question in his head.

There was no god giving him wishes or any weird stuff like he read in his past life.

And surprisingly he can remember his past in modern times, but not his personal life.

There was nothing he remembers that was out of the world unrealistic...

Well there was a voice, though it wasn't having a conversation with him it was repeating 3 words over and over again for his next 2 baby years.

[3 Strikes]

At least once a month when he slept he heard that, it was creepy but ever since he turned 3 the voice stopped.

But the questions still remained.

It also took a year and some to finally get over the fact that it was not the modern times but the early 1900's.

He could either complain or change the world with what he knows before he dies.

But that changed the moment he read about Howard Stark, it changes many things.

Being in the Marvel universe could give him many opportunities to be immortal or strong.

But that's if he wants to step up to the big leagues...

'Oh who am I kidding of course I want to, hehehe' Alfie thought.

He threw his bike to the front yard and ran into the house.

He greeted his parents before heading to his room.

His parents were nothing but simple, mother is a small time nurse and his father worked in some kind of car shop.

His mother Nina was proud at the kind of person he had become, though she thought he was a bully at first and was relieved he wasn't.

His father Doris was also proud, he always spoke to Alfie giving him advice and such about life.

Strange name but Alfie never brought it up, who was he to judge.

Alfie ran up to his room and closed the door before walking back and forth thinking.

"Okay so....so Howard Stark, yes he is a genius and he will grow up to be...to be a...a weapons designer?...anyways so he will be working with the military soon while also building his company...I think- RIGHT!! He will help that old doctor guy with the super soldier serum and then- Captain America!! Right!! The war too, world war 2, with that red skull guy... aaaahhh there is so much to think about." Alfie ruffled his hair in frustration before rushing to his desk and getting out some papers and pen.

20 minutes later...

Alfie has wrote down the things he knew about the Captain America plot.

Which was really a mess because he forgot a ton of it.

If anything he had firm memories of the Iron Man movies instead, all the way to Endgame.

But that didn't mean he didn't like the other avengers any less, he doesn't remember spending all his time on the marvels movies though.

Then he started thinking, is Steve Rogers a kid just like him at the moment? Is he getting beat up for his iron hard personality right now?

"Hehehe, I'm definitely gonna see you soon cap." Alfie said.

"AL!! Honey, your friends are here!!" His mother suddenly shouted out again.

"Huh? Shitt." Alfie quickly grabbed the book he wrote on and put it under his bed.

He looked outside his window and saw that more than 20 bikes were lain on the front yard of the house.

"Ugh, dads gonna complain later." Alfie muttered.

*Bang*

*Creak*

Alfie turned around and sat on his chair as Rose walked in, after that was Billy, Timmy, Jonjon, Rolo and then 17 other kids squeezed in cramped in the room looking for place to sit.

Alfie changed his sitting positions a few times waiting for everyone to get seated.

"Alfie, what happened? Why did you ditch on us? You never ditch on us." Rose started.

"Yeah Alfie why?"

"You ditched on us Alfie, you ditched."

"Yeah Alfie you never do that."

"Why Alfie why?"

"What happened Alfie what happened?"

...

Alfie crossed his arms and tapped his fingers on his shoulders to wait as some of the kids around takes turn to voice something out.

It was a regular thing they do, they're young and they wanted to be involved so some would repeat a question or something already said just to feel involved.

Alfie thought of it cute when they first did it, after a while it got annoying, but nowadays Alfie didn't mind it, it's like it trained his patience.

"Nothing, there is nothing to worry about guys, I'm just not feeling well at the moment." Alfie said.

"Why? You looked fine earlier today." Timmy said.

"Well not anymore." Alfie rolled his eyes.

"What's really going on Al?" Rose asked.

"Ugh, ever the smart one." Alfie muttered.

"So? You gonna tell us?"

"Alright...I think...I think...I thin-"

"Just tell us!!"

"I think I'm going to be a soldier." Alfie finally said.

A few gasps sounded in the room as they looked at Alfie.

"A soldier? What happened to being a businessman? An enterpreneren?" Billy asked.

"First of all Billy, it's entrepreneur, and second of all it's not gonna be as fun as shooting a gun." Alfie said smiling.

"A gun?" Some of them disappeared into their own imagination about what a gun would be like.

'Oh boy, I forgot these are kids, I'm not badly influencing them am I?' Alfie wondered.

"A soldier...so do you think it's more cooler than being a baseball player?" One of the kids asked.

"No no no, it's... it's just what I'm thinking of doing, you don't have to do it too.

If all of you are still thinking about being going pro when you get older then go ahead." Alfie said.

"But shooting a gun would be fun right?" One kid ask another next to him.

A sudden chaos of talking ensued as everyone made convo for themselves.

"Oh no, their parents are gonna want to kill me." Alfie muttered.

Because as much as they want to be pro ball players they are also curious young bunch, so asking tons of questions about the military and being a soldier would be happening for a few days.

30 minutes later.

"Oh, you kids going so soon?" Alfie's mother asked.

"Yeah."

"Yeah, goodbye Mrs.Mcbride."

"Goodbye."

She watched as the large young group walk one by one past her saying goodbye with some sad faces.

"What's wrong?" Nina asked.

"Alfie is going to be a soldier and may or may not die." One of the sad clueless boys said.

"What?!" Nina freaked.

Soon enough all the kids were gone and both Alfie's parents stood waiting for Alfie to come down.

"Alfred McBride!! Get down here now!!" His mother yelled as his father stood next to her.

Alfie soon came down looking at his mother's stern glare at him.

"Yeah?"

"What's this I hear bout you being a soldier?" His mother bent her upper body down a bit with her hands on her hips looking at the young Alfie.

Alfie sigh, knowing the boys misunderstood him and probably said something much worse to his parents.
