[Abhorrence Of The Night]

Cordelia is a small town girl growing up in a secluded part of the vast outer banks of southern Texas. She's a pretty- delicate thing, a soft spoken southern belle one would say, and when she decides to become friends with the eldest son of the Van Rensselaer family, how can he not fall in love. However there's something strange about him, something not quite right, whether it's blood on his clothes or the huge axe he lugs' around with him every day. It's not just him however, the Van Rensselaer family are a weird bunch, having built their fortune over hundreds of years in the south as plantation owners. With their meat manufacturing empire of selling their goods on the harbor they're as wealthy as can be. But they're also social recluses, nobody really knows them, their eldest son is deformed and is never to be seen around the town, and the other two are as rowdy as can be. Folks suspect they're the reason that travelers into town always go missing, but why would they care? After all, this town looks out for their own.
