19 Boy… No You Stinky Little Sh*t (Edited)

"Ergh my head…"

Ben moaned in pain while rubbing his temples, cursing at his miserable luck to suffer pain far beyond even tortured people would experience.

His teeth clenched as the sensation of feeling his blood coursing through his veins was a gut-wrenching experience, feeling as if each breath was filled with mini blades that were slicing apart his innards as they travelled into his body and blood stream.

All the filth and toxins spilled out through his pores, nostrils, fingertips, ears, eyes, even from within his mouth, spread out all across Ben's bedroom, leaving it in a horrendous state.

Blood, dark smelly filth extracted from Bens body, dead skin, and rotten teeth were littered everywhere.

The rugs and drapes soaked up most of the filth spread throughout the room, however it still bothered Ben that his body went through something ghastly, leaving his room in a state of disrepair.

Ben slowly moved himself to the couch that remained somewhat safe from the filth before laying down to calm his mind down before dealing with the mess in his mind.

Only then would he be able to figure something out to deal with the mess in his room.

.

As he went through all the information the System had poured into his mind left Bens eyes wide open out of utter shock and awe.

If his thoughts were correct about his new abilities, his problems regarding materials would disappear in a heartbeat.

Ben rushed out his bedroom, shouting to the servants he was heading to his Masters Workshop, having forgotten to notice that he hadn't cleaned himself up yet and was still covered in blood and filth.

As Ben passed countless people on his sprint to Vals Workshop, they all were greeted with the vilest smell, wafting into their nostrils, making many feel the smell came from some peasant who'd taken an unfortunate bathing in pits of human faeces.

Several unfortunate people were left hurling vomit, while others had tears in their eyes from the distinct stinging pain in their eyes from the horrendous smell.

Unaware of the chaos he left in his wake, Ben barged into the workshop, with many people still glaring in his direction.

Even the neighbours of Vals Workshop were left wondering why there was such a horrendous smell coming from his property.

Ben rushed to the storeroom filled with the materials they would use to forge or craft items.

Everything was somewhat catalogued and stored properly but most things remained in bags or wooden chests.

He reached out to one of the shelves and grabbed a couple ingots of iron, focusing his mind on moving the materials from his hands to the endless Inventory Spaces he brought up from the System Interface.

After trying for some time with no results, he frustratedly threw the ingots at the wall before his eyes.

Ben followed the Systems instructions to transfer the ingots into the System Inventory Space, but it didn't work out.

Again, his frustration with the System surfaced again in his mind, making Ben feel anxious about the Systems inability at times.

Even after he followed the Systems instructions on how to use the Inventory Spaces to a Tee, nothing worked out, leaving Ben furious he'd wasted his Pia Credits.

When Ben looked up at the wall where he threw the ingots out of anger, he expected to see slight damaged by his recklessness, but he got a small surprise instead.

The ingots had actually disappeared into the Inventory Spaces, as the Interface was spawned in the direct the ingots were thrown.

Ben noticed the several iron ingots he threw were in one window with the amount numbered into the bottom right corner of the square.

.

"So…

Even your instructions are broken… System… *sigh* Can you for once be reliable, please!

Can you at least tell me the rest of the information is correct?"

[Apologises Host, the System unfortunately is too low of a level to run a diagnosis of the information currently stored in the database]

"Then tell me how I can fix you, so this kind of crap doesn't happen!"

[Host needs to upgrade the System, and to do so, the host needs to first complete the main mission given to Host]

"IT'S A BUNCH OF QUESTION MARKS YOU MORONIC SHITBAG!" beyond the point of general frustration with the System, Ben was shouting like a maniac at the System, furious it seemed so out of touch with even itself.

He was at the point of re-evaluating the purpose of the System and its benefits so far.

If he could develop further without needing the System, then why not take such an opportunity.

Ben's thoughts ended up triggering an automatic response from the System, its typical robotic voice blared aloud with urgency and panic, as if there was life behind the cold voice.

.

"No no no!

You are the one that must fix it all!!

Without our help, you will fail!!

All will disappear… and everything will be gone!!

We must not let that happen…

Do not let our work be in vain!

Please keep persevering!!

Please… Source…"

The words pulsed through his soul, as it reached the deeps of his hazy mind, Ben felt something happening to his head and the thoughts running through his mind.

Immediately he tried to focus on the changes to see if he had been manipulated, but he found nothing.

Not only that he felt some of his mind clearing up from a hazy fog hiding his past.

His mind felt stronger and clearer than before, the worry and panic he felt was largely gone, thought with the hazy fog still present, there were still many concerns.

All Ben wanted to take the time out and inspect the changes to his mind and thoughts closely, but his focus was too much on his new ability and System Function that he kept playing in the storeroom of the workshop.

.

He thought of the iron that was in the window and the information about the Transmutation Ability.

Rather than it being an ability, it was a function that was part of the Inventory Space, where items of similar resonance, material, grade, and design would be grouped into the inventory windows.

If Ben wished to use the Transmutation Function, all he had to do was think of the items from the Inventory Spaces and the System would process the specified items together to process a higher quality item.

Ben first tried with the iron, as the system had categories them as Low-High Grade Iron, Bens earlier thoughts rung true.

He had been led to believe they were the best grade Iron Ingots sold on the market, even though his eyes, hands and nose all told him the iron was terrible.

Ben was always suspicious that there were some shady dealings happening in the market, but he was far from proving anything of the sort was happening.

When Ben questions Val, the old Smith replied that the materials had always been of such a poor grade in the obvious hopes to dissuade Bens curious mind to inspect the matter further.

Ben gave up seeking the answers for now and thought about 'Transmuting' the Iron Ingots, which immediately happened as Iron Ingots stored reduced from 5 to 2, and, in another window, a partially shining Iron Ingot appear.

.

[1 x Iron Ingot

Grade: Medium – High]

.

To Bens astonishment, the Iron that formed in the Inventory Spaces far exceeded the quality he used to craft Jyms daggers.

He originally thought the Iron quality for the daggers was the same as the one he just transmuted together but it wasn't the case.

Although after holding the newly formed Iron Ingot, Ben felt like he used a similar Iron type to make the daggers, the quality he used for the daggers had to be Medium-Low.

He figured it out from his heightened sense of touch, but it was rather his Smithing Affinity Body helping him realise the quality of the materials so easily.

Suddenly he felt icy cold water being poured over his body, drenching him from head to toe.

Ben quickly turned around to see his Masters face scrunched up, while his eyes judged Ben and a bright red Tia standing behind him, holding in her breath as her cute and innocent face brought a smile to Bens drenched face.

.

"Boy… no you stinky little shit!

Why the hell did you come here smelling like that!?!

I feel like beating you to death Boy!

The forge is gonna smell like fuc – wait a goddamn minute!

BOY…!!"

Val roared while leaped at Ben to grab a hold of his student, as his eyes were close to popping out of their sockets.

His hands reached for the ingot in Bens hands, shaking uncontrollably as they held the Iron Ingot.

Val was in a daze from seeing quality Iron that was quite difficult to find in Alynthn.

For a while now, Val thought his days had long passed for him to be working with materials of such grade again.

Small tears welled up on his old weary face, as he faced Ben his young disciple.

"You better tell me how you got this… no lies or anything Boy…"

Ben had no intentions of lying to his master, immediately telling him and Tia about his new ability with some alterations to exclude the Systems existence.

"I can Transmute materials…

I don't know how, but I suddenly got this ability...

I was at home wondering about the weapons for the Withering Roses and suddenly I felt a surge of warmth and then pain.

Eventually I passed out and when I awoke, I was covered in blood I assumed was mine, some dark goo and other crap that'd come out or off my body.

I totally forgot about bathing after realising the function of my ability and I rushed over as my mind kept screaming to me about trying to ability on iron.

That's when I held several ingots together, they would disappear for a moment to transmute together and produce a higher grade of material quality when it returns to my palms."

.

Without even questioning his ability any further, Val passed him other types of materials from the storeroom, asking Tia to rush over and bring certain Items to try out as well when he instructed.

For several hours they tested Bens new ability, placing a wide range of items into his inventory, only to repeat the same tireless actions to see if a new result occurred.

What surprised Ben was the thorough report of the results Tia was complying, while his Master played with him like a lab rat, poking and prodding Ben to try everything that came to the mind of the old, overly excited, Smith.

"Don't worry Boy, you're not the only one that can use space magic, even though it shouldn't be possible nowadays… but here we are."

Slyly smiled Val as he continued to push all types of materials and goods towards Ben, leaving the young Smith wondering if he should ask more about Magic and how it was used nowadays.

Of course, Ben made sure not to explain everything about the System and what he could do with it so far while continuing to follow his Masters instructions to store everything within the Inventory Spaces.

He understood there was much more about his Master than he knew, and it was going to take time before all of it was told to him, but Ben still couldn't comprehend how little he in fact knew about his Master until the future.

When time would come for Ben to know, he would be far ahead in his journey to forge his myth.
