愛の花 [Ai no Hana]: My Attempt at an Average High School Life

There's always that one loner in class. The student who, if absent, no one would even notice. The student who blends into the background without even trying. The student who didn't even do anything to deserve being ignored, but that's just how it turned out. Hikari Akiyama was that student throughout his entire middle school career. But, he plans for his high school life to be completely different. Through his ingenious plans, he builds up his confidence and prepares himself to live out a completely average high school life, his one dream! But, on the night before the first day of school, one encounter with a certain girl completely destroys his plans. Sumiko Sakai, Hikari's new next-door neighbor.
