After hearing the announcement, the world erupted into chaos once again, as everyone wanted to climb the tower and gain strength. Thus, the Gods and Demons proclaimed punishment for those who dared impede others from taking on the tower's challenges.
After that event, the world was in an uproar once again as people rushed to enter the tower, seeking refuge on its ground floor. As their world teetered on the brink of collapse, becoming uninhabitable, little did they know that the tower's interior was a vast, entirely new world, a hundred times larger than what they were used to. Once inside the ground floor, there was no way back.
The Abyssal Watchtower was a nexus connecting all living worlds, attracting not only humans but every race eager to challenge its heights. All of them converged on the ground floor and commenced their ascent at the age of 18, the day of their awakening.

A female instructor, a member of the Awakening Association, dressed in professional attire, bore a serious expression, declaring, "Today marks the most pivotal moment of your lives. Embrace this opportunity as you step through the portal in front of you, arriving at the tutorial floor. There, you will unveil your innate talent, and after completing it, you all will reach the first floor, shaping your destinies and ultimately humanity's future!"
Before her stood a group of people, engaged in animated discussions while peering at the portal before them. Among them stood Ren, a slender and striking young man with pale white skin, dark brown hair, and entrancing deep ocean blue eyes. He sighed as he thought, "Today, I'll awaken my innate ability and begin my climb up the tower. My life has been a series of tragedies."
Thinking back on his troubled past, he continued, "Born into a family of scoundrels, my dad was addicted to drugs and gambling, abusive and worthless, never even attempting to climb the tutorial floor. My mom wasn't any better; her talent was useless too, and she earned money for herself by involving herself with multiple men. Thankfully, she neglected me, sparing me from further troubles. Then, on my 17th birthday, an unexpected twist occurred—both my scummy parents died in an accident. Strangely, I felt no sadness but rather relief that I wouldn't have to see their faces again. I started living in the cramped room they left behind, scraping by with a job at a coffee shop.
