Traitor

Narrator's POV

"What?! Did they do something wrong?" Wreck asked.

"Don't shout! Let me tell you what happened in our Kingdom for the last months."

Wreck, Tran, and Rael did not talk as they listen to the Minister's words.

"Here is what happened. Last month, the King held a special banquet for all the nobles throughout the Kingdom. The unfortunate thing here is that prior to the day of the party, some thieves that were disguised as maids stole a huge amount of jewelry in the royal vault!"

"What!?!"

"The story isn't done. The King was mad with this situation but since the party was already set we still proceeded with the plan. The good thing here is that the Royal Guards caught one of the thieves and was placed in prison."

"Great! But where was the unfortunate thing here?!"

"I am not yet done. Now that the party started, the King and everyone that knew about the robbery forgot all about that and enjoyed the party. Because it was a huge party, of course, there will be a lot of people in there which is why we made our security even tighter due to the incident, but even with all those preparations there was still an unfortunate thing that occurred."

"What is it?"

"A servant that was catering the event was actually a terrorist that threatened the whole event! He made a town noble his hostage and injured more!"

The group was so immersed with the story which is why the Minister continued.

"The terrorist demanded money and land in exchange for the life of the noble but that did not happen. General Raminoff saved the day."

"How? Did the noble die?"

"No chairman! The general used his strength magic and quickly disarmed the enemy. It was so quick that I really did not know how he did it but I am sure that he restrained the enemy."

"Nice! So the general has magic too?"

"Of course!"

"Umm, I have a question minister."

"What is it, Rael?"

"How is this related to the Habsber Family?"

"Oh that. Let me tell you about the climax. After we subjugated the criminal, the General and his troops investigated the incident. I also participated in the investigation so the results were legit. And we found out that the criminal that tried to steal the day before and the criminal that disturbed the party were all colleagues!"

Wreck and his group were all shocked.

"Not only that, but it was also later found out that they bear the same emblem at their ankles. But that emblem belongs to the Habsber Household!"

"What! Why would Reid's family attempt something like that?!"

"I believe they have ulterior motives, and I was already suspecting that the Habsber Family was involved in some kind of corruption which is why I convinced the King to strip the family of their status and lock everyone that was part of their household. Unfortunately, one prominent individual was able to escape but eventually, he was found dead in the woods. That man was Reid Habsber. Your former friend."

"Re-Reid is dead?"

"Yes, but his family isn't dead yet. We are planning a public execution within two weeks."

"That really is harsh."

"As it should be! That family betrayed everyone in this Kingdom! They used their position for evil things which is why I decided to correct that myself! Now that I told you everything about that wretched family, I should now take my leave."

Minister Mello then left the group.

The group was still standing as they process the information they just received but before they can have a breathing room, King Ebriz approached them with a lady and a young boy with him.

"Oh! Nice to meet you again King Ebriz!"

"No need to formal Chairman! I just came here to introduce to you, my children. This beautiful young lady is Princess Zanelle. This young man is her younger brother, Prince Zarille. They are both my lovely children."

"Nice to meet you Princess Zanelle and Prince Zarille. My name is Wreck Crimson and I am the Chairman of the Mudland Union. These are my assistants Tran and Rael." Wreck politely introduced as he bowed to the royal children.

"Hi, Chairman!!!!" The young prince cheerfully said as he raised his hands for a high-five which Wreck responded.

Meanwhile, the princess was quietly observing the faces of Wreck, Tran, and Rael.

"Is there something wrong with us Princess?" Wreck asked."

"So this is an Ogre. And this one is an elf. Interesting.."

Wreck was kind of offended with the statement of the princess because he thought that she was discriminating against his companions.

"Do you hate other races Princess Zanelle?

"No. It is just my first time seeing an ogre and an elf. I am really interested in them."

"Oh, then that is good."

"But I am more interested in you chairman. You seem like a very great man with great looks and capabilities as a leader at that age." The princess complemented which made Wreck blush and was flustered.

The King laughed.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now that I think about it, you seem to be in the same age group!"

"I am very sorry my King, but I already have a wife and I already have kids back at our country."

"Oh really? You seem to be very young to be having a child already?"

The party continued as Wreck and his group continued to socialize at the party.

*LATER THAT DAY*

Mello's POV

I was silently sitting on a chair at my office as I read a book when suddenly someone I know goes into the office.

"You really are relaxing even though we are getting busy out there."

"Oh shut up Vaughn, the plan went flawless. Why are you here by the way? It has been a month since I saw you."

"I came here to report to you something important, Mello."

"Oh come on. If it is just some nonsense I would rather hear it on another day. I am so tired after that damn party."

"Someone is investigating the incident."

I was so surprised when I heard those words.

"WHAT?!?!?!"

Wreck's POV

Tran, Rael, and I are now riding the bus as we head back to the union, but before we head to our journey we stopped for a while to fetch the other members.

People in coats suddenly came inside our bus. They were lead by Bren. They all sat across us.

"It sure is hard to disguise as humans in this country Wreck."

"Stop with all of those comments, Did you finish the job I gave you."

"Done of course."

"We have now accomplished our goal here today Wreck," Tran said.

"Yeah now let us all head back to the Union and report everything that we have learned to Reid."
