Retaliation

We were all speechless on what the minister said. They have the confidence to tell us that while being in our territory. This man is really something.

"Hahahahahahaha!!!!!! Looks like I got all of you. Don't worry, we did not just come here to tell we will take over your land. Our King personally ordered us to respect your country and its rules. We came here as diplomats and to establish a proper relationship, and you are actually right chairman, we want to make you our allies."

I observed the reaction of the others. Looks like they are kind of upset. I still have doubts about this man's intentions but I need to control the atmosphere now.

"Since you came here personally, I figured an alliance would be great but what can you offer to our nation other than a simple friendship?"

He looks like he is flustered.

"I am afraid but I don't follow Chairman. Are you asking for more?"

"Of course. I believe that your kingdom needs to offer more to us."

"I believe you don't have the ability to pressure our kingdom like that Chairman Wreck. Let me remind you, we are a much larger country with an established army and stronger firepower. You would not want to be on war with us."

"This is where you are the wrong minister. You are not the only nation that came to us. Let me tell you that the Kingdom of Thrile also reached out to our nation offering an alliance but I refused since I have a connection with your kingdom. If you won't agree with our requirements then we can just be your enemies with the Thrile."

Minister Mello and his secretary were shocked and surprised. They paused for about five seconds so I continued.

"And you are also underestimating our Union:s capabilities sir Minister. Even though your nation is has a lot more residents, you must remember that all of the races in our land are superior physically than humans. We are also not behind in technology. We have some powerful secret weapons we have prepared in case of an emergency. Lastly, you should not forget about the human that tamed the Dangerous Crimson Forest by himself. The human that surpasses the strengths of any other races. The man that has extraordinary knowledge and that man is right in front of you right now. So what do you say Minister, do you want to continue our conversation?" I said with a smile.

Damn. That was a long speech. I of course added some bluffs with them to make my words even scarier. I felt cringe praising myself though but you gotta do what you gotta do.

"A-Alright then Sir Wreck, we are going to listen to your requests."

Now we are talking!

The meeting continued for about an hour of finishing all the conditions and terms of the alliance agreement. The agreement contains the following:

*The Kingdom of Zione will view the Mudland Union as an equal independent state.

*Trades and Businesses between countries will be encouraged.

*Travels between each country will be allowed with of course border fees.

*If ever one nation is at war, the other nation shall support and help the other.

*The nations shall not attack each other.

*As a sign of goodwill, the Kingdom of Zione will be giving the Mudland Union 100,000 gold coins and 100 sacks of wheat.

*And many more agreements....

The Minister and his group now bid their farewell and he promised that our gifts shall be delivered next week.

Damn. That was a very tough meeting. It is nice that we were able to get a lot in the agreement. We also now have a very powerful ally. I still have doubts about that Minister Mello. He has the vibes of someone that has ulterior motives. He also has the skills and knowledge. We gotta be careful about that guy. Our alliance probably means that we are now enemies with the Kingdom of Thrile. I better think about that later. I gotta go home now since Laur is alone and we still have a lot to deal with.

It is now the next day. I ordered the Poch Army and the Indro Army to scout the eastern and southern side of our area. I want to know more about the land beyond the river. If possible I also want to learn more about the Kingdom of Thrile. I spent my whole morning taking care of Laur and also writing the Constitution with Rael. I trained with Kirth and the Craig Army the whole afternoon.

"Looks like you have been rusty, Wreck." Kirth mocked me.

"Yeah right. You can't even beat me."

"Are you sure?"

He then charged at me with his sword. I prepared the Eiric to block his slash but then he suddenly jumped which I did not expect. He then swiftly disarmed me by making me off-balanced and pointed the blade at my neck.

"Okay, you win. Maybe I have been really rusty."

"It is because you have been spending your time with all of the politics and stuff."

"I gotta no choice but to do it. I am the chairman of the union and the Leader of the Crimson Town. We still have a lot to deal with. What about you Kirth? Do you want to replace me as the leader of the Town?"

"No way Wreck. I have no talent when it comes to politics and leadership. Someone like me belongs to the battlefield."

"Well, what about Gald then? He is not the smartest but he is the leader of Gaorus."

"He is different though. He has been a leader in his entire life while I spent my childhood being a slave."

Now that I think about it, I still don't have any knowledge when it comes to Grano and his family. I know that they are slaves but I still do not know where are they from.

Just then suddenly the Poch and his men arrived.

"Sir Wreck we have some news."

"What is it?'

"We did your orders and scouted the eastern side and we reached a town of Humans."

"A town of humans? Is it an independent town?"

"Yes sir. Based on what we saw, it has no affiliations. The size of the town is also a little bit smaller compared to Baugan sir."

A new town. We should establish a relationship with them.

"Thank you, Poch. You may now go."

"Wait sir Wreck, my report is still not yet done."

"Then continue."

"We met the town chief and he told us that they want to join our union."
