"WRECK!!! WAKE UP!! WE HAVE A LOT TO DEAL WITH TODAY!!!!"

I heard a very loud noise coming from Grano and Lisha who are speaking outside of my home. It seems like something happened, but because I am still half-awake, I of course replied like someone who just woke up.

"Wh-what?"

"Just come outside you have to see this!"

I hurriedly went outside while still trying to wear my clothes and I also grabbed my glaive.

I encountered Listh while I was about to gout and asked her what is it.

"The gift from Lady Laur just arrived."

I was surprised but also excited. I am hoping for food or clothes or jewelry or anything I would like, but it is not any of those.

"Greetings Human!"

I was astounded by what I saw. I saw a crowd of people in front of my house. But in fact, they were not humans. It was a variety of races you would expect that exist in this fantasy world. I saw Dwarves but are about the same height as humans. I saw some human-like creatures who have scales. I saw some with wings. I also saw some Lizard-like people. Of course, there are some who are like the same race as Grano.

"Wh-WHAT?!?!?!?!"

I was so surprised and confused. I saw a lot of things you would expect they would exist in a fantasy world. As someone who has only lived here for a month, of course, I am going to be surprised.

Grano, Lisha, Kirth, and Listh approached me.

"We were also surprised when they all arrived. We all thought they were enemies, but the fellow who greeted you spoke to us and I believe that they do bring no harm."

"How can you tell that?"

"Beast Instincts!"

I was confused about what Grano said but I analyzed the situation. People from a variety of races came here. Listh said earlier that the gift has arrived so I believe that they are servants of Laur and they will give me something. I am not sure though so I decided to ask that guy who greeted me earlier.

"Excuse me sir, but may I ask why are you here? Did you all came here to deliver a gift?"

I tried to speak politely.

Listh whispered to me.

"Umm Wreck, they are not here to deliver the gift, they came here to-"

"We came here to live here with you!"

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?! I was taken aback by the statement from the guy. So they are here to live in this place with us? I never thought of having more people here. Do not tell me that they are the-

Grano then interrupted my thoughts.

"They are gifts from Madam Laur."

I was even more shocked. All of a sudden, our place just got loaded. This is a lot to process. That damn lady, she did not even consult me.

Just then a strong gust of wind came from above.

"Are you not going to thank me Wreck?"

It was Laur who came here while flying. The crowd made a landing area for the fairy and they all bowed their heads like she is a queen. She walked towards me.

Why are you not replying to my question?"

"H-Hi! How are you, Laur?"- I replied nervously.

"I am alright. How about you, did you like my gift?"

"Why don't we talk about this privately inside."

I brought Laur inside my house in order to talk.

"I am glad that you gave me a gift, but why does it have to be people?"

"I believe that you can be a great leader for them so I gave them to you in order for you to gain power."

"Power? I do not need power. I just want to live a peaceful life in this forest. They can go somewhere that is better than here and has a better leader than me."

"You may not want power, but you need it. If you want a peaceful life, you need to have power in order to maintain your peace. I also cannot trust any other place for them so brought them here because I trust you."

"You already trust me? We just met yesterday!"

"I trust you because you are different."

"Are there any other kingdoms or countries that can accept them?"

"Those kingdoms and countries that you are finding destroyed their lives. They are from destroyed villages and countries because of battles. Basically, they are casualties from wars."

After I heard those lines, I felt sympathy towards them. I felt like I need to help them.

"You can use them too. They are also great people to improve your life. Anyways, I can give you additional gifts if you want. Any requests?"

I decided to accept them. Since Laur is offering, I gotta think this well. What do I need right now? We have food. We also have wood. We have stones. We can create clothes using sheep's wool. Then I saw my glaive. I have an idea.

"Can you provide me some precious materials like gems, iron, gold, silver, diamond, or any hard materials that can be used to create weapons?"

"I can give you gems, but only ores. They are not created into weapons yet, is that fine with you?"

"Yes! That would be perfect."

"Great! Then I should head back and I will bring you your request tomorrow."

She then walked towards the door but I stopped her.

"Where are you going right now?"

"Of course going home! Where would I go then?"

"You need to help me!"

"Why would I need to help you?"

"You gave me this responsibility. Of course, you need to help me too."

"But I don't want to."

I then tried to use the sympathy card.

"Are you okay if you are just going to leave the people hanging there? You brought them here to have a good life and you will just kinda drop them and leave? What are you going to with those poor souls!?!"

Her face looked sad.

"Fine, I guess I will stick around."

Her face looks like a girl forced to do charity work rather than partying with her friends. Looks like my trick worked. HAHAHAHA.

So I and Laura headed outside to greet the new citizens of my place and to welcome them into my family.

This is going to be hard.
