2 Encounter

I heard a very loud noise. It seems like a loud roar from an animal.

Since my arrival in this new world, I have never encountered a single living creature, so I do not know what to expect. Will it be the same animals on Earth? Will it be fantasy-like creatures?

Since I am very curious, I decided to go towards the location where the noise came from. I do not know if this is a good decision.

I brought my axe I created a while ago and walked. While surveying the forest, I was shocked when I saw the source of the noise.

I saw a huge lion-like creature. This creature is basically a lion but a little larger. It also has a dark red color. I believe it is called crimson. At this point, I am not shocked by the color of the lion. I was shocked by what it is doing.

"SAVE USSSSSS!!!!!!"

"HELP US!!!"

I heard those words from a family that was attacked by the lion, but it was not just an ordinary family. It was a family of non- humans.

Basically, they are the race that is commonly called Beast Kins in isekai stories.

As a good human being would do. I went towards the family of beastkins to help as I tried to shoo away the lion using my axe.

The lion seems unfazed by my actions, so I was really worried. I was worried about the family, so I tried to lure away the lion from them and try to make the lion attack me instead.

The lion followed me while I was running for my life.

I tried to attack it with my axe but the lion simply broke it. I really have no hope left.

Well, it was a good short life in a new world.

Man, I did not even last a day. What a waste of life.

Since I was pissed because I already accepted that I will die through the lion's bite, I shouted really hard to let my feelings out.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The scream echoed throughout the forest. I was so surprised by that scream. I looked at the lion's reaction and it was also very surprised. It even ran away from me.

Oh, yes! I am alive! I did not die today. The problem is why did the lion run away? Why is my scream very loud? Did I have an ability I do not know? Is it related to the special one thingy?

Anyways the important thing is I am fine.

I walked back towards the location of the beast family. They seem fine now.

The family is composed of 4 beast kins.

One male who looks like a man in his forties but has fox ears

One female who looks like the wife of the middle-aged looking guy

One boy who looks like a 14 to a 16-year-old kid

One girl who looks like she is in her 7 to 9 years age range.

They all have Fox Ears and foxtails like beast kin would look like in fantasy stories.

"Th-Thank you for your help young human fell-fellow." The older guy said.

"I am Grano, this is my wife named Lisha, and these are my children named Kirth and Listh."

"My name is Wreck. Are you all fine now? Is everything alright?"

"Yes, we are all fine thanks to you young fellow" The wife replied.

"Are you all hungry? Here have some"

I gave them the purple apples and they ate it.

They seem fine right now.

I spoke with the Father.

"Thank you again, young man."

"No problem. By the way, how did you get into that situation?

"We are slaves who escaped from a slave trader. After we ran away so hard we arrived in the Crimson Woods."

"Where is Crimson Woods?"

"This forest. You do not know?"

I nodded

"Anyways since the guards surely would not go here we stayed here for a while, but then we encountered the Crimson Beast you just fought a while ago."

So that lion is named crimson beast huh.

"I am glad that you are fine now. So what are your plans now" — I asked.

"I do not have plans right now. And since you helped me and my family, I am planning on repaying you."

It seems that they have no place to go.

"Hey Grano, what was your job before?"

"I am a carpenter and a former warrior of our village. My wife is a cook. Why did you ask?"

I have a very bright idea.

"Want to create a village with me?"

"Wh-What?"

"Create a village here. Since I also have no place to go, we can just live here!"

His face is very puzzled right now, so I decided to explain to him my plan.

"Since you are a carpenter, we can build a house here. Your wife can cook so food will be fine. "

"Bu-But I do not have the equipment young man."

I smiled.

"Watch this!"

I showed him my abilities using a dead log lying in the ground. I created an axe and a Hammer.

"Now you have tools to use"

"How did you do that?!"

"Secret! So you agree with me now?"

His face still looks confused.

"Do not worry, since you and your family has no place to go, we can just start fresh here. Trust me, I am quite strong"

I bluntly said I was strong even though I am not. I just have strong abilities. Yes, I consider my scream an ability since it was effective.

Grano sighed.

"Alright, I will join you in living in this forest since we have a debt to repay."

YESSSS! I am so happy right now. Now I have a carpenter who can help me build stuff even though I can myself and I also have a cook. I am not alone in this world anymore.

Grano went back to his family and explained to them their situation right now. They are shocked at the same time confused, but they seem to accept it right now.

I led the family to my main base which is now a flat land because I chopped the trees in this area. I am planning on building a temporary house for the night here. We also have the purple apple bushes nearby so we have food tonight.

The temporary house(basically a tent-shaped house using the logs) is done when the night is about to start. We started a fire and ate our dinner which is still the apples. Gosh, I am sick of this taste now. I promise to go hunting tomorrow for meat.

We all decided to rest, but we assigned shifts in order to be safe. Well, I am tired after this long day. Good Night!
