9 Captives

After I heard what Bubba said, I asked him where is the current location of the Humans. He told me the last time he saw them they were about 50 meters away from the village. I ordered him to carry me towards the village. Laur also followed us.

After our flight, I saw near our gates that 5 humans were apprehended by our Guards led by Exel who the assistant of Kirth and the current head of the guard duties today.

Exel walked towards me. I asked him about the situation. He told me that these group of humans seems suspicious so as soon as they got near the village, the guards captured them. Do you really have to be that tough?

Well, Exel seems proud of his actions so I will let him get his spotlight I guess.

"Did they fought back?"

"Yes sir, but we were able to fight them. It was all due to your training to us sir!" Exel answered proudly.

Well looks like our training paid off. After hearing the situation, I walked towards the humans in order to interrogate them.

"Wh-Who are you?!?! What do you want from us!!!!!" The guy who looks like is about the same age as I yelled.

"I am glad you ask, I am Wreck. I am am the leader of this village. As for your question on what we need from you, we need none. My guards simply caught you all because they believe that you are bothering our peaceful living here."

"Live here?!?! Are you crazy?!?! How can you live here? This place cannot be lived due to its danger!"

"Well, hate to say but we are capable of living here and in fact, we have been here for two months and we have no plans of moving anywhere."

"Okay, then the crazy guy who is the leader here, I challenge you on a duel. If I beat you, let me and my comrades go. And if I lose, we will become your slaves."

What? Why did he suddenly challenge me? I can just let them go if they promise to never distract our lives here, but then I heard cheers.

"Let's Go, Sir!!"

"Show them what you got!!!"

"Beat these humans!"

I looked at the faces of Exel, Bubba, and Laur and they seem like they are waiting for a show. Huh, I guess I have no choice but to do this.

"Very well, I accept your challenge."

We headed towards an open space near the center of our village. A crowd of people surrounded us. The other human captives seem confused about the situation. If I were them to, I would also be confused.

I looked at my opponent. He really looks like a young handsome warrior you typically would see in fairy tales. He also has that aura. I am kinda jealous now.

"I forgot to tell you my name. I am Reid Habsber, Son of Edgar Habsber the Great! I am a proud Knight from the Kingdom of Zione! I vow to prove to you my strength and beat my enemy!"

He seems like he is from a really powerful family. He also looks like a strong opponent. I will use this opportunity to be familiar with Eiric and also see what is the level of strength of a knight. He also mentioned the Kingdom of Zione. I need to get a lot of information about that kingdom after this duel.

"Well, then I shall act as the witness" Kirth who just arrived declared to us.

"Very well."

"READYYYYYY!!!!!"

As soon as Kirth starts yelling, Reid's face changed. He also prepared his stance. He uses a one-handed sword. I also prepared my newly acquired weapon named EIRIC. This really feels like a different weapon.

"COMMENCE THE DUEL!!!!'

As soon as we heard Kirth's yell, Reid dashed towards me. He looks like he will do a slashing attack from the bottom to the top. I plan on using my move called Dragon's Jaw but I was surprised when I was about to do the move, my hand slipped causing me to be unable to use the move and I just barely avoided his attack.

Damn, this is due to the fact that I am still not familiar with the eiric.

I then quickly recovered my senses and then launched a sideway slash from the right. It launched him to the ground.

"YEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!"

The crowd's cheering got even louder.

Eh? Was he really that weak? Am I really that strong already? Now that I think about it, the guards were able to capture them. So Knights are lower than the guards of our village? Are they weak or our guards really evolved into something strong?

He recovered and then I used the same attack just in a different direction and all have the same result. I feel so bad for him. He really is in a bad shape.

After about 3 minutes of one-sided battle, Kirth finished the duel. He announced that the duel will not resume because Reid looks like he is unable to fight back. I was glad about Kirth's decision. I feel pity for Reid.

Reid looks sad and angry at the same time while he is kneeling at the ground. I walked towards him.

"Well, we are your slaves now. Give us your orders and then we will follow you."

"Okay. My first order is you need to give me all the information you know. I need to know about your kingdom, your family, everything!"

Their faces really look defeated. It seems like they kinda accepted their faiths.

"I also order you to go home tomorrow and never let anyone know about the existence of this village."

Their faces look confused.

"What?!?"

"There won't be any attachments to that?"

I smiled.

"Yes. I will just set you free tomorrow. You do not need to be slaves."

All of the humans cheered. They all looked happy. Good for them.

It is dinner time. I gave them their meals since I will be needing their brains after we eat.
